My Thoughts on the January 17th Episode of AAA on FOX:

My Thoughts: For a First AAA Show on FOX, it did things in terms of establishing the show. I liked how Rey Mysterio opened the show added to the importance of this episode. We saw Santos Escobar return and attacked El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and made it known he's coming for the AAA Latin American Title, and I liked the Main Event with Omos helping El Hijo del Vikingo get the win and earn his shot at the AAA Mega Title. It's so weird seeing El Grande Americano as a face in AAA, and then you turn on WWE, he's a heel feuding with Je'Von Evans. But this was enjoyable, I can't wait for the future of this, and every Saturday this show goes on YouTube, which is smart.

The January 17th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: La Parka, Mr. Iguana & Nino Hamburguesa vs. Los Vipers (Abismo Negro Jr., Histeria & Taurus) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: N/A — The Opening Match was a quick sprint. I really wish this match could’ve gone on longer, but they needed to give time to the other scheduled matches and segments from the show.

The 2nd Match: Flammer (with Lady Maravilla & La Hiedra) vs. Lady Shani in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Flammer got the win, as I said for the first match, these matches went by so quick didn’t really have a chance to develop into a fun match, but Flammer got the win over Lady Shani.

The Main Event Match: El Hijo del Viking (with Dorian Roldan) vs. El Grande Americano in a AAA Mega Title Number One Contendership Match | The Match Rating: **** —  A fun watch. A good 1st main Event for AAA on FOX. El Grande Americxano had the fans behind him as he is trying to obtain a Number One Contendership for the AAA Mega Title, and El Hijo del Vikingo, who recently turned heel, is now in the midst of trying to get back the title he lost to Dominik Mysterio. The match was a lot of fun, and Omos came and helped El Hijo del Vikingo secure his chances for a future title shot for the biggest prize in all of AAA.

The January 17th AAA on FOX— The Match of the Night: El Hijo del Viking (with Dorian Roldan) defeated El Grande Americano in a AAA Mega Title Number One Contendership Match | The Match Rating: ****

The January 17th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) — As a first AAA show on FOX, this did a strong job of establishing the series. Rey Mysterio’s opening the show made the episode feel important. Santos Escobar’s return, attacking El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and targeting the AAA Latin American Title, added excitement, and the main event delivered with Omos helping El Hijo del Vikingo win and earn a shot at the AAA Mega Title. It’s also funny seeing El Grande Americano as a face in AAA while he’s a heel feuding with Je’Von Evans in WWE. Overall, it was an enjoyable show, and releasing it on YouTube every Saturday is a smart move.
