The Opening Match: El Hijo del Vikingo (with Dorian Roldan & Omos) defeated Dinámico in a Singles Match | via Pin-Fall — (06:49)

The 2nd Match: Santos Escobar defeated Abismo Negro Jr. and Mr. Iguana and Psycho Clown in a Rey de Reyes Qualifying Four-Way Match | via Pin-Fall — (09:58)

My Thoughts on the March 7th Episode of AAA on FOX:

My Thoughts: Back-to-back weeks with very strong episodes of AAA, mainly because of the solid in-ring material we're given. Now, next week is Rey de Reyes, which I'm excited about because of the matches we'll be getting, but tonight we had some fun action, and more drama before Rey de Reyes, which was needed. I hope AAA continues this streak into the three-week Rey de Reyes Event because AAA has been enjoyable as of late.

The March 7th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: El Hijo del Vikingo vs. Dinámico in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Wasn't a bad match, by any means. El Hijo del Vikingo needed added momentum before his match with Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Title next week at the AAA Rey de Reyes Event. Dinamico did very well. I wasn't familiar with him, but he held his own against Vikingo. But even with a good showing, he couldn't pick up the win as El Hijo del Vikingo got the win, now shift his focus to next week as he takes on Dominik Mysterio in a No DQ Match for the AAA Mega Title.

The 2nd Match: Santos Escobar vs. Abismo Negro Jr. vs. Mr. Iguana vs. Psycho Clown in a Rey de Reyes Qualifying Four-Way Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Santos Escobar is really back with a new look and attitude. This was a very fun match. We saw the War Raiders attack Psycho Clown as Pagano came out to make the save. I can see the War Raiders getting the AAA World Tag Team Titles in the future. But Santos Escobar got the win as he pinned Mr. Iguana to get the win. This was very solid and well done, as Santos Escobar is the final wrestler for the Four-Way Match at AAA Rey de Reyes.

The Main Event Match: Original El Grande Americano vs. La Parka in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was a very fun match. La Parka took on the Original El Grande Americano as they battled before the AAA Rey de Reyes Match. El Grande Americano has been a great villainous character, as everyone wants the other El Grande Americano character. La Parka looked good in this match, but Original El Grande Americano did everything he could to injure La Parka so La Parka couldn't make it to the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match. But the closing sequence of this match was fun as El Grande Americano won. Afterwards, every man competing in the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match stepped out as El Grande Americano, La Parka, Original El Grande Americano & Santos Escobar all looked at the sword before next week's AAA Rey de Reyes Event.

The March 7th AAA on FOX— The Match of the Night: Original El Grande Americano vs. La Parka in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was an exciting match. La Parka faced off against the Original El Grande Americano in a bout held before the AAA Rey de Reyes event. El Grande Americano has been a popular villainous character, with many fans wanting to see the other El Grande Americano. La Parka performed well, but Original El Grande Americano did everything possible to injure La Parka and prevent him from competing in the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match. The climax of the match was entertaining, with El Grande Americano emerging victorious. Afterward, all the competitors for the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match, El Grande Americano, La Parka, Original El Grande Americano, and Santos Escobar gathered and looked at the sword in anticipation of next week’s AAA Rey de Reyes event.

The March 7th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Episode Grade: 7/10 (B-) — A very strong episode in terms of in-ring material, this is what I have been asking more of because AAA does have hoopers on their roster. More drama is added before Rey de Reyes. I’m quite excited to see how the event goes for the next three weeks.
