My Thoughts on the February 7th Episode of AAA on FOX:

My Thoughts: I thought this episode was passable but enjoyable, delivering about an hour of fun wrestling and storyline progression. The show kicked off with a hot opening segment featuring AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and his challenger for AAA Rey de Reyes, El Hijo del Vikingo, immediately creating excitement around their upcoming title clash. Later in the night, Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice won the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships, adding a feel-good title change to the show. In the main event, El Grande Americano defeated Dragon Lee, Octagon Jr., and Rey Fenix to secure the second entry in the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match at AAA Rey de Reyes, giving the event’s marquee match more shape and anticipation. With several intriguing matches already announced for next week, the promotion has a good opportunity to build on this week’s momentum and further engage the audience.

The February 7th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Ethan Page & La Hiedra (c) vs. Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice in a AAA Mixed Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This was an okay match; unfortunately, Chelsea Green wasn't able to compete since she had a foot injury. Hence, La Hiedra replaced her to tag with Ethan Page. The match was quick, as they had to give time to the Main Event, but I was quite surprised by the title change. Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice are the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, but I'm happy for them. Now what's next for Ethan Page & La Hiedra?

The Main Event Match: Original El Grande Americano vs. Dragon Lee vs. Octagon Jr. vs. Rey Fenix in a Rey de Reyes Qualifiers Four-Way Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was the match I was very excited about, you've got four wrestlers who can tear the house down. Before the match, we saw the Original El Grande Americano handcuff the other El Grande Americano to take his spot in the match. Dragon Lee and others all went after the original El Grande Americano. One of my favorite sequences in this match was between Dragon Lee & Rey Fenix. I even thought Rey Fenix had a solid showing, same with Dragon Lee, as he was everywhere in this match, but as El Grande Americano always has his dirty tactics, he used his metal plate to get the win. There were some sloppy moments in this match and some miscommunication, but all in all, I thought this was a fun main event for this episode. It was given enough time, and I was shocked to see the Original El Grande Americano rack up the victory as he pinned Octagon Jr. to get the win. Now we have our 2nd Entry for the Rey de Reyes Match at the Rey de Reyes Event in March. But I’m really interested to see who the final two qualifiers for the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match are.

The February 7th AAA on FOX— The Match of the Night: Original El Grande Americano vs. Dragon Lee vs. Octagon Jr. vs. Rey Fenix in a Rey de Reyes Qualifiers Four-Way Match | The Match Rating: **** — This second half the match is where the fun really started for me I thought the beginning protion of the match was very clunky and had some miscommuications mixed in with some akward moments but Chad Gable I mean El Grande Americano came away with the win to secire the 2nd spot in the Four-Way Match at Rey de Reyes so it’s going to be interesting if it’s either Chad Gable or Ludwig Kaiser I mean El Grande Americano.

The February 7th Episode of AAA on FOX — The Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C+) — I thought this episode, for the one hour it gave fun was passable. It started with a hot opening segment featuring the AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and his challenger at AAA Rey de Reyes in El Hijo del Vikingo. We got new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions in Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice. To end off the show, El Grande Americano took down Dragon Lee, Octagon Jr, and Rey Fenix to secure the 2nd Entry for the Rey de Reyes Four-Way Match at AAA Rey de Reyes. Next week we’ve got some good matches on the card, so keep up the momentum after this week.
