My Thoughts on the AAA Pay-Per-View Event — AAA TripleMania XXXIII:
My Thoughts: I believe this was the best AAA TripleMania event recently. The last memorable one was when Kenny Omega faced Andrade, but this event was highly enjoyable, featuring plenty of humor and strong in-ring performances. Since WWE acquired the promotion, they've been doing well, with Worlds Collide and AAA TripleMania XXXIII receiving positive feedback. Notable WWE stars like AJ Styles, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, Roxanne Perez, and others significantly contributed to the event's success. While Triple A has a solid roster with some standout talents, it could benefit from adding more luchadors to strengthen its lineup. Overall, it was a very entertaining event—I had a great time watching. Now, with AAA & WWE World Collide II scheduled for September, I hope it delivers as well as the first one.
AAA Pay-Per-View Event | AAA TripleMania XXXIII — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Omos vs. Abismo Negro Jr. vs. Aero Star vs. Cibernetico vs. Cruz Del Toro vs. Joaquin Wilde and La Parka and Laredo Kid vs. Mecha Wolf vs. Microman and Octagon Jr. vs. Otis vs. Pimpinela Escarlata vs. Taurus in a Copa Bardahl Cibernetico Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a very fun opener mixed with AAA and WWE Wrestlers. I liked how we had some mixture of everything in this match, some high-flying and physical action. Omos returned, as we haven't seen him since his run at NOAH-Pro back in January. But what made this match so fun was when Microman went face-to-face with Omos. Omos got the win and won the Copa Baradahl Cibernetico Match and got something else to add to his trophy case.
The 2nd Match: El Mesias (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a AAA Latin American Title Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — This match I thought would go well with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner being in this, but this match was mediocre at best. We had some outside drama involving Dr. Wagner as he was going at it at ringside. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner got the win and got his first piece of gold in Triple A, being the new AAA Latin American Champion.
The 3rd Match: Lola Vice, Mr. Iguana & Nino Hamburguesa vs. The Judgement Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh & Raquel Rodriguez) (with Roxanne Perez) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — The Judgement Day in AAA was cool, added some star-power to the show as the WWE World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh had Raquel Rodriguez tagged with Roxanne Perez at ringside. They have to face Lola Vice, Mr. Iguana, and Nino Hamburguesa. This was filled with comedy because we saw the Demon return, not that Demon, but a Demon in a Puppet. Finn Balor had his puppet face off against Mr. Iguana's puppet. The Mixed-Person Tag was okay, but it was enjoyable. Now Finn Balor has been a part of AAA, CMLL, NJPW, and WWE's biggest events.
The 4th Match: Los Garzas (Angel & Berto) (c) vs. Pagano & Psycho Clown in a AAA World Tag Team Title Street Fight | The Match Rating: **** — Such a fun Street Fight tag team title match. Los Garzas had one of their better performances as a unit as they fought to defend their AAA World Tag Title Match. Pagano and Psycho Clown were aiming to get the tag title. There was a lot of chaos, and it was a very entertaining match. There were some good spots in this match, and at the end, we got new AAA World Tag Team Champions as Pagano and Psycho Clown are now the holders of the AAA World Tag Team Titles.
The 5th Match: Flammer (c) vs. Natalya vs. Faby Apache in a AAA Reina de Reinas Title Three-Way Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — A very clunky match, I do love the fact that Natalya used her alternate persona in Nattie. This match was okay. Flammer stole the match for me, a very talented women's wrestler, and I see why she's the AAA Women's Champion. She retained, and I think Natalya is going to be feuding with Faby Apache.
The Main Event Match: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano II in a AAA Mega Title Four-Way Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — Amazing Main Event Match. Had a huge, big-fight feel with each man getting special entrances. This match had everything; it was filled with chaos, drama, and awesome in-ring action. There were a lot of cool high-flying moments that were very entertaining to see. We saw some outside chaos as Cruz Del Toro, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Joaquin Wilde, Pete Dunne, and Tyler Bate all were brawling and trying to help their people to win this match and become the AAA Mega Champion. As Dominik Mysterio was about to close the deal, a masked man stopped him, and that man was AJ Styles, as a big reception happened. He hit a Styles Clash and helped El Hijo del Vikingo get the win. Amazing Main Event, and I liked this match a lot.
AAA Pay-Per-View Event | AAA TripleMania XXXIII — The Match of the Night: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano II in a AAA Mega Title Four-Way Match | The Match Rating: ****.50
AAA Pay-Per-View Event | AAA TripleMania XXXIII— The Event Grade: 7.75/10 (B) — I thought this was the best AAA TripleMania Event in recent memory. The last good one was when Kenny Omega took on Andrade, but this event was very fun; it had a lot of comedic relief and some good in-ring action. Since being purchased by WWE, they have been thriving and kinda having a good run as Worlds Collide and AAA TripleMania XXXIII were perceived well. Having some big WWE names like AJ Styles, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, Roxanne Perez, and others helps this show a lot. Triple A has a very solid roster with some gems, but they need to really get some more luchadors who help this roster. But this was a very fun event, I had fun watching, and now, AAA & WWE World Collide II is coming in September, and I hope it’s good like the first one.
