My Thoughts on the WWE Premium Live Event — AAA x WWE Worlds Collide: Las Vegas:
My Thoughts: This event was quite enjoyable. I really liked this installment of World’s Collide. The show offered a great mix of entertaining matches, and I found myself especially drawn to three of them that stood out for their excitement and the skill of the wrestlers involved. The atmosphere throughout the event was lively and kept me engaged from start to finish. I also appreciate how this crossover with Triple A introduces new elements and talent not usually seen, making it a unique viewing experience. Overall, I truly hope they decide to organize another World’s Collide soon because these collaborations have been a refreshing and fun addition to the wrestling calendar.
WWE Premium Live Event | AAA x WWE Worlds Collide: Las Vegas — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: La Parka, Laredo Kid, Mascarita Sagrada & Octagon Jr. vs. Lince Dorado, L.W.O. (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) & Mini Abismo Negro in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — What an opener for Worlds Collide, this was so much fun. These types of matches are the matches I find the most enjoyable to open the show because they get the fans hyped up. The LWO was so much fun. Why can't they be used like this on RAW? Lince Dorado was very solid in this match. He had some moments. Mini Abismo Negro was one of the highlights for me in this match, same with Mascarita Sargada, who was the MVP of this match. That man is so cool. I was never familiar with Mascarita Sargada, but he gained a fan in me. La Parka, Laredo Kid, and Octagon Jr. were solid in this match as well. This was a well-produced, all-around fun match, and it delivered big time, so huge props to everyone involved in this match.
The 2nd Match: | Natayla vs. Faby Apache in a AAA Reina de Reinas Title Number One Contendership Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — This was a very generic match as Faby Apache and Natalya were fighting to get the Number One Contendership for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title. Natalya came out in her Nattie Gimmick, more of her edgy badass side, which I wish they could use in WWE, but she uses it outside of WWE in Triple A, GCW, and N.W.A. Natalya got the win and is next in line for a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Title.
The 3rd Match: | Pagano & Psycho Clown (c) vs. Grayson Waller & Kofi Kingston (with Xavier Woods) in a AAA World Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Xavier Woods had a producer done on his head, so he was out and replaced by Grayson Waller. This was a very fine tag team match. Pagano and Psycho Clown did their job and had a very good showing in this match as they took down Grayson Waller and Kofi Kingston to retain their AAA World Tag Team Titles. But afterwards, the Wyatt Sicks appeared and attacked them, signaling they are coming for their titles, which is fun because they are the current WWE Tag Team Champions.
The 4th Match: | Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana vs. The Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Roxanne Perez) (with Raquel Rodriguez) in a Mixed Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — A filler match with a bit of fun, funny comedy in this match. Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana are a solid team, as they have teamed before numerous times on AAA Television. Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez were trying to neutralize them, but they couldn't, which was their downfall, allowing them to lose this match and give Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana the win.
The 5th Match: | El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. JD McDonagh in a Fatal Four-Way Match for the AAA Latin American Title | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Such a fast-paced, amazing match. Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh were my MVPs of this match; both are amazing wrestlers and showed out. I liked how Dragon Lee has been one of the faces of the AAA x WWE Partnership. El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. was awesome as he had some great aerial moves and some quick-paced offense. The near falls had me on the edge of my seat as I actually thought we would have some new champions, but we didn't. Ethan Page couldn't get the job done as El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. got the win and retained his AAA Latin American Title. But this was the best match from the show for me.
The Main Event Match: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio in a AAA Mega Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — A very compelling main event with a lot of drama, as Dominik Mysterio had his second chance at the AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo. This was a very decent main event match; there were moments I thought the match was over, but with help from El Grande Americano, Dominik Mysterio is now a double champion. He's now the King of the Luchadors in Triple A and the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Still, a big moment for Dominik Mysterio, as he has shown incredible improvement over the years and is now the face of a company and one of the bright young talents in wrestling.
WWE Premium Live Event | AAA x WWE Worlds Collide: Las Vegas — The Match of the Night: El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. JD McDonagh in a Fatal Four-Way Match for the AAA Latin American Title | The Match Rating: ****.25
WWE Premium Live Event | AAA x WWE Worlds Collide: Las Vegas — The Event Grade: 7.50/10 (B) — This was fairly fun. I enjoyed this World’s Collide. This show had some fun moments, and there were three matches on the show that I enjoyed a lot. I do hope they bring another World Collide soon because these events with Triple A have been very fun and something fresh.
