My Official Thoughts on the July 8th Episode of AEW Beach Break:

My Official Thoughts: One of the best episodes of AEW Dynamite this year; in this episode, we saw two major title changes. We saw Willow Nightingale make her return to secure an AEW Women's World Title Match for AEW Redemption. Also, seeing Kenny Omega become a 2x AEW World Champion was so worth the wait; so happy for Kenny Omega. Now we have the Main Event for ALL IN London set as Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay III will be happening, and now we are on the Road to ALL IN London. The crowd energy throughout the night made every match feel big, especially the main event. The women’s Casino Gauntlet added real unpredictability to the show and highlighted just how deep the division has become. With both the men’s and women’s world title pictures shaken up, AEW has set the stage for a must-see stretch of TV heading into AEW Redemption and ALL IN London.

My Official Match Ratings for the July 8th AEW Beach Break:

The Opening Match: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Jericho in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — A fun opener, this was probably my favorite Jericho Singles Match since his return to AEW a couple of months back. Tommaso Ciampa getting the win makes the most logical sense because why would Jericho need to get the win? But I was happy to see that Tommaso Ciampa got the win; I really do hope that's the end of that because I have someone for Tommaso Ciampa by the name of Adam Page that I think he can have a marvelous feud with.

The 2nd Match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher (with Lance Archer) in an AEW International Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — A great match. I was shocked by the results of Kyle Fletcher getting the AEW International Title, as I thought Konosuke Takeshita was going to have a lengthy reign, but we saw Kyle Fletcher finally add another title to his collection. I'm not mad at it, but I am very shocked.

The 3rd Match: Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay) (with Marnia Shafir) vs. The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — I'm not a fan of this Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay side quest, whatever you wanna call it. Because the point is this: Will Ospreay needs to be solo. I don't get why he's a Death Rider the whole storyline; it makes no sense, and I thought this match was very weak for their standards. Now they're a tag team, beating up on lower-card Tag Teams or teams from the Ring of Honor. I just want Will Ospreay to be by himself during his story with Kenny Omega that has chapters because of the past they both have with each other.

The 4th Match: Willow Nightingale vs. Athena vs. Julia Hart vs. Maya World vs. Mina Shirakawa vs. Rina vs. Skye Blue vs. Thunder Rosa in an AEW Women’s World Title No. 1 Contender’s Casino Gauntlet Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Willow Nightingale finally returned, and what a moment she is now heading to AEW Redemption, having the chance to win the AEW Women's World Title, the only title she hasn't won in AEW, so having her win this was amazing. I do think the match was very mediocre, but I'm super happy with the winner, as we have a chance to see Willow Nightingale win the AEW Women's World Title, then walk into ALL IN London as champion to take on someone she's very familiar with in Mercedes Moné.

The Main Event Match: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ***** — The Greatest To Ever Do It, Kenny Omega, has become a 2x AEW World Champion, taking down MJF in the process. In the Main Event, if, let's say, Kenny Omega did lose, he would've joined Adam Page & Cody Runnels as the others who lost the chance to challenge for the AEW World Title. But this was a spectatular match, and I'm super happy Kenny Omega is going to ALL IN London as the Champion, and we have the final World Title Reign possibly for Kenny Omega, which sucks, but I'll enjoy every last bit of it.

My Official Match of the Night for the July 8th Episode of AEW Beach Break: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ***** — The Greatest To Ever Do It, Kenny Omega, has become a two-time AEW World Champion after finally putting MJF away in an incredible main event. Had Kenny Omega lost, he would have joined Adam Page and Cody Runnels on the list of wrestlers who squandered their shot at the AEW World Title. Instead, we got a spectacular war that lived up to the hype and delivered a true big-fight atmosphere. I’m absolutely thrilled that Kenny Omega is heading into ALL IN London as champion, with all eyes on what could be his last great world title run. If this really is the final AEW World Title reign of Kenny Omega’s career, it’s bittersweet, but I’m going to savor every single moment of it.
