The October 21st AEW Dynamite Episode Preview & What You Need To Know:

• Who’s Ilja Dragunov? Well, he made his name in WxW, then went on to conquer major heights in NXT and NXT UK as well as on WWE’s main roster. He managed, in his time in WWE, to be a 1x WWE NXT UK Champion, 1x WWE NXT Champion, and 1x WWE United States Champion. Ilja Dragunov left WWE because he wanted a challenge, and he joined AEW. At AEW WrestleDream, he made his official 1st live appearance as he debuted to a roar in Orlando, Florida. But tonight he’ll have his 1st Official AEW Match as he takes on United Empire’s Mike Bailey in the Main Event of tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Coral Gables, Florida. What’ll the Mad Dragon show in front of the AEW audience tonight? Can the Mad Dragon make a good first impression?

• Adam Copeland and Will Ospreay showed mutual respect at AEW WrestleDream, but tonight they’ll tag together as they take on the Don Callis Family’s Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher, who are coming off a frustrating loss against The Young Bucks at AEW WrestleDream, where they failed to capture the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Tonight, they’ll focus on taking down the AEW World Champion and The Legend we call Edge “The Rated-R Superstar” tonight on AEW Dynamite.

• After defeating Thekla and retaining her AEW Women’s World Title at AEW WrestleDream tonight, we’ll hear from Mercedes Moné, who put away Thekla and now has new, fresh challengers to face. We all know how this goes. Who’ll enter the picture and try to take away Mercedes Moné’s most prized possession, her AEW Women’s World Title?

• Jon Moxley is coming off a very emotional and gutsy win over Mark Davis at AEW WrestleDream, as he managed to retain his AEW Continental Championship. Tonight, in an Eliminator Match for the AEW Continental Title, he has to focus on The Conglormeration’s Roderick Strong, as he wants the next crack at the AEW Continental Title, and we know how this goes: you beat Jon Moxley in an Eliminator Match, you get a future AEW Continental Championship Match. Will Roderick Strong manage to do it tonight on AEW Dynamite?

• Nick Wayne once again defeated Chris Jericho as he’s 2-0, and now he has beaten Chris Jericho… twice. Cue the pyro. This was a lot of momentum growing for Nick Wayne as he defeated a HOFer in Chris Jericho. Now tonight Chris Jericho must apologize to Nick Wayne. Will he do so, or will Chris Jericho do what Chris Jericho does best, and that’s swerve people?

• The Young Bucks will have an AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Match. After defeating Don Callis’s Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher and retaining the AEW World Tag Team Titles at AEW WrestleDream, now tonight they will face Davis and Doyle, who are also a part of the Don Callis Family, and look to destroy The Young Bucks and earn a future shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

• Maya World will be taking on Queen Aminata tonight on AEW Dynamite as the winner will face Persephone for the AEW TBS Championship. Whoever wins the No. 1 Contender’s Match tonight on AEW Dynamite will be inches closer to possibly capturing the AEW TBS Title from Persephone.

• Death Rider’s Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta will be taking Bang Bang Gang Leader Jay White and The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy in a Tag Team Match tonight on AEW Dynamite. A lot has been going on with the Death Riders; they're looking to get the win tonight as they want to knock down Jay White and Orange Cassidy.
