My Thoughts on the February 25th Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Thoughts: An overall fun episode filled with entertaining matches, and we finally figured out what the stipulation is going to be for the MJF and Hangman Page AEW World Title Match at AEW Revolution. My prayers are sent out to Penelope Ford, as she suffered a broken ankle during her match, which was really tough to see and put a somber note on the show. Despite that, there were a few things I absolutely loved. Swerve Strickland’s heel promo was fantastic; he came across as confident, ruthless, and charismatic, and it really helped build more heat for his character and his ongoing storylines. The Main Event Match was completely over the top in the best possible way, with big spots, high energy, and a pace that kept me engaged from start to finish. It might not have been the most technical match of the night, but it was definitely fun and a great way to close the show. All in all, the episode balanced strong in-ring action, memorable character work, and important storyline developments, making it a very enjoyable show to watch, even with the unfortunate injury to Penelope Ford.
The February 25th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Jon Moxley [c] vs. El Clon in an AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Didn't have too many high hopes for this match, as I'm not very high on El Clon because I think he's mediocre at best in the ring. But I have to say this was a very fun match in my opinion. Jon Moxley has been a workhorse champion, I mean, he's the Ace of AEW. I thought he had a lot of control in this match. I thoroughly think that once he drops this title, it has to be for a young talent like Kyle Fletcher or Mike Bailey. But this was fun, like I said. Jon Moxley has been on a string of very fun matches.
The 2nd Match: Gabe Kidd vs. Orange Cassidy in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: *** — Orange Cassidy had the crowd behind him, but I'm kinda glad he didn't pick up the win. Gabe Kidd is made to be taken seriously with how brash his character is. So this was a good win for Gabe Kidd. I do think at AEW Revolution, he'll have a match with Darby Allin in some fun stipulation being attached to it. I believe that Gabe Kidd is someone who I think will fully be All Elite once his New Japan Contract ends.
The 3rd Match: Kevin Knight vs. Mansoor in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Kevin Knight continues to shine as he always does when he wrestles as he made easy work of Mansoor to get the win, now I would love more serious matches for Kevin Knight that can build him towards something but, at this moment the roster is top-heavy but I hope sooner than later he starts to climb up the rankings.
The 4th Match: Babes Of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) (c) vs. MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford) in an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — I feel bad for Penelope Ford as she suffered a broken ankle, another injury that will have her on the shelf for a while. I feel bad for her as she has been working her ass off and deserves this run she has been on. The match itself wasn’t good, a lot of botches, and a disastrous botch that looked ugly as Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale didn’t position themselves to make the catch for Penelope Ford.
The 5th Match: Brody King vs. Mark Davis in a Singles Match |The Match Rating: ***.25 — A very enjoyable bout, Mark Davis has been riding solo since Jake Doyle’s injury. I quite enjoy his singles run. Now that I believe he starts racking up some wins, I do believe so, but he's such an enjoyable wrestler to watch; it's always fun seeing him in the square circle. Brody King is like the breakout star so far of AEW this year. Now, I know he has had some great years with the company, but what I mean is they've been positioning him up higher on the card, and he has been excelling also; he has been one of the more popular wrestlers on the AEW roster. I hope they keep this job because I'm really enjoying Brody King this year.
The Main Event Match: Jack Perry, The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & The Demand (Bishop Kaun, Ricochet & Toa Liona) in a Mile High Madness Anything Goes Ten-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.75 — An amazing match, this was so much fun to watch. This is already in my Top 3 favorite TV Matches from this year, because wow. Everyone was having a fun performance in this match, but my favorite part had to be when Myron Reed did that insane outside move into the ring that was sick, and he wasn't even in the match. This was such a fun stipulation match, something that makes me always enjoy watching AEW because even if a show isn't up to par, they always have one match that blows everything else away. Great job by everyone involved in this match.

It’s already one of my Top 3 favorite TV matches of the year, wow. Everyone performed with enthusiasm, but my highlight was when Myron Reed executed that insane outside move into the ring, even though he wasn’t officially in the match. It was such an entertaining stipulation match, which is one of the reasons I always enjoy AEW. Even if a show isn’t perfect, they tend to have one match that stands out and exceeds expectations. Kudos to everyone involved in making this match so great.
