My Official Thoughts on the April 8th Episode of AEW Dynamite:

My Official Thoughts: This was a fantastic go-home episode of Dynamite as we approach AEW Dynasty. It featured four solid matches and an excellent closing angle involving MJF & Kenny Omega, setting the stage for the AEW World Title Match at AEW Dynasty. Overall, it was great. AEW is currently the best promotion globally, which is no surprise given its consistent excellence across all areas.

The April 8th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo, Konosuke Takeshita & Mark Davis) vs. Bandido, Darby Allin & Jack Perry in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was a very fun opening match. We know at Dynasty we’re getting El Idolo and Allin, which I'm so excited about, but this was a lot of fun. I love the style of Six-Man Tag Team Matches in AEW; they are always enjoyable and exciting. They always provide a good show opener.

The 2nd Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Queen Aminata in an AEW TBS Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Queen Aminata is back, and glad she had a title match right away. Willow Nightingale has been a workhorse with the AEW TBS Title, making it feel like it matters, which was great to see. I do see Queen Aminata as a champion in AEW. I really hope they book her well in AEW this year, but this was a very fun match between these two.

The 3rd Match: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Mascara Dorada in a Casino Gauntlet #1 Spot Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was a very fun match. Tommaso Ciampa just got his ticket into the Casino Gauntlet Match for the vacated AEW TNT Title, the title he lost to Kyle Fletcher. Now, he heads to AEW Dynasty as he is trying to reclaim the AEW TNT Title, as she looks to become a 2x AEW TNT Champion. Mascara Dorada is very fun to watch in AEW & CMLL. I thought he was a lot of fun to watch in this match.

The Main Event Match: United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, HENARE & Will Ospreay) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley & PAC) in a Chaos In Canada Eight-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This was such a chaotic and fun match. IWGP World Champion Callum Newman came to the aid of his friend Will Ospreay as he battled the Death Riders. There were a lot of great spots throughout, and I think Will Ospreay vs. Jon Moxley this Sunday at AEW Dynasty is going to be an incredible match.

The April 8th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Match of the Night: United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, HENARE & Will Ospreay) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley & PAC) in a Chaos In Canada Eight-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — This was such a chaotic, fun match. The IWGP World Champion Callum Newman, helping his friend Will Ospreay as he battles the Death Riders, there were a lot of great spots within this match, and I believe Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley this Sunday at AEW Dynasty is going to be a hell of a match.

The April 8th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Official Episode Grade: 8.50/10 (A-) — This was a great go-home Dynamite Episode as we head towards AEW Dynasty. We had four good matches and a great closing angle for MJF & Kenny Omega before the AEW World Title Match at AEW Dynasty. Overall, great stuff. AEW is the best promotion in the world at this moment in time, and I’m not surprised because they have been excelling on all cylinders.
