My Thoughts on the March 4th Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Thoughts: This was a very solid episode. I thought it was a fun show from start to finish, filled with entertaining matches, surprising moments, and some exciting debuts. The in-ring action felt energetic, and the pacing made the two hours fly by without dragging. One of the highlights was the arrival of David Finlay, who has finally made his way to AEW. Seeing him reunite with the WAR DOGS in an AEW ring added a fresh layer to the roster and made the show feel important and newsworthy. The way his debut was handled felt impactful and well-thought-out, planting seeds for future storylines and rivalries. Overall, the episode felt like a strong go-home stretch as AEW heads into Revolution. The stories were advanced in meaningful ways, the crowd seemed invested, and the card for the pay-per-view feels hotter because of this show. If AEW can carry this momentum forward, Revolution has the potential to be one of their best events in a while. I think AEW is heading into AEW Revolution on fire.
The March 4th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: MJF (c) vs. Kevin Knight in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — A very good match overall. This was a real sink-or-swim moment, but Kevin Knight absolutely swam, delivering two great performances tonight on Dynamite. He showed poise, confidence, and an impressive connection with the crowd, proving that he belongs on this stage. The future is very bright for this kid, and it feels like we’re only seeing the beginning of what he’s capable of. I can’t wait to see what he does with his career in AEW as he gains more experience and is put in even bigger spots. Knight carried himself like a star in the making and refused to back down, even when the pressure was on. He held his own against MJF, matching his intensity and rising to the occasion in a way that made the match feel important. If AEW continues to invest in him, Kevin Knight could very well become one of the key pillars of the company in the years to come.
The 2nd Match: Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy vs. The Dogs (Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was a very fun quick tag team match with Darby Allin, and Orange Cassidy being victorious but they didn’t get the last laugh as David Finley debuted in AEW as he reunited with Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd which add more juice to the AEW Roster.
The 3rd Match: The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) vs. The Ilnspiriation (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: N/A — The Brawling Birds ended The Ilnspiriation debut night on AEW Dynamite as they ended their hopes in less than ninty seconds as they won and added more momentum for them as a team as the Brawling Birds should win the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title in the future.
The 4th Match: Adam Page vs. Marty Snow in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This was just a super squash match, as Adam Page made quick work of Marty Snow. But afterwards we saw a promo which led to later in the night the AEW World Trios Title being defended against the Don Callis Family.
The 5th Match: Jon Moxley [c] vs. Hechicero in an AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was a very physical and technical match. I think Jox Moxley has been elevating his game this year, but Hechicero was a fun opponent for him. But Jon Moxley needs to focus as at AEW Revolution, he’ll be facing Konosuke Takeshi.
The 6th Match: Thekla (c) vs. Thunder Rosa in an AEW Women’s World Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Thekla does it again as he made easy work of Thunder Rosa. Thekla is going to have a very fun title reign as she started it off with a very fair match between Thunder Rosa. Kris Statlander came out to make her presence known, as I sense a rematch coming possibly at AEW Revolution.
The Main Event Match: Jet Set Rodeo (Adam Page, Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) (c) vs. The Con Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) in an AEW World Trios Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — The Don Callis Family adds more gold to their stable as they defeated Jet Set Rodeo to claim the AEW World Trios Titles. That was a very fun match, and man, Adam Page with everything against him makes me feel like he will dethrone MJF at AEW Revolution.
The March 4th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match of the Night: MJF (c) vs. Kevin Knight in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — A very good match, this was a sink or swim, but Kevin Knight swam as he delivered two great performances tonight on Dynamite. The future is very bright for this kid. I can’t wait to see what he does with his career in AEW. He held his own against MJF.
The March 4th Edition of AEW Dynamite — The Episode Grade: 8/10 (B+) — This was a very solid episode. I thought it was a fun episode filled with fun matches, and debuts as David Finley has finally arrived in AEW as he reunited with the WAR DOGS in AEW. But this was all well done. I think AEW is heading into AEW Revolution on fire.
