My Official Thoughts on the March 4th Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Official Thoughts: This was a very well-done episode of AEW Dynamite, the two matches I was excited for delivered in Kevin Knight defending his TNT Title against the 2x AEW World Champion MJF. With the Main Event, Darby Allin is defending his AEW World Title against Brody King in a very fun David vs. Goliath-style title defense. The episode had four title matches, all of which were delivered and satisfying to watch. AEW is having a great run, and as we inch closer to Double or Nothing, they are continuing to produce great episodes weekly.
The April 29th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Official Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Kevin Knight (c) vs. MJF in an AEW TNT Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — I was amazed at the fact that MJF is fighting for the AEW TNT Title. It's cool because a Main Event guy targeting a Mid-Card Title is always enjoyable. Kevin Knight, who's in the biggest title defense of his career against a man he lost to a couple of months ago when he was fighting for the AEW World Title. But this match, man, it was a lot of fun. MJF & Kevin Knight have a lot of chemistry against each other. I did think at some points in the match where I thought okay Kevin Knight's knee is injured and weakened down because of MJF will MJF win this AEW TNT Title Match? Therte was coupoe more times where I believed it was over for Kevin Knight and then we saw the ending where MJF try to distract the referee and get the Dynamite Ring on but Kevin Knight was two steps ahead hitting a low-blow then proceeded to get the roll-up win, as MJF now is on a two-match losing streak but because of how big of a sore loser he is he attacked Kevin Knight injured leg but before he can inflict more damage we saw Darby Allin coming down from the rafters as he saved Kevin Knight hitting a Scorpion Deathdrop to MJF. Brody King came out where we came to find out whoever wins tonight's Main Event for the AEW World Title, next week, Kevin Knight has another shot at the AEW World Title, and can become a Double Champion. Kevin Knight's emergence in the Main Event Scene this year has been great. By 2027, he'll be the AEW World Champion, in my opinion.
The 2nd Match: The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) vs. Emily Jaye & Jordan Blade in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: N/A — The Brawling Birds probably won for one of the more talented teams within the AEW Women’s Tag Team Division. They got a quick and easy victory over Emily Jayde & Jordan Blade. I do hope that in the future, they get a Tag Title shot at the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles, as I think they have a good shot at winning them, but this match helped them gain more momentum.
The 3rd Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ace Austin in an AEW International Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Ace Austin is someone whom I wish were booked more, because with his time in TNA, he was very legit when tagging with Chris Bey. But this match against Kazuchika Okada was a lot of fun because in this match we show people why Ace Austin is underrated, and should be taken seruously and be a huge part of the AEW Future, but he hasn't done much noatbkle I don't even know if he been an a important storyline yet but this match was a lot of fun of course I knew Kazuchika Okada weas retaining he wasn't losing but a good showing by Ace Austin, and please book him more on AEW Dynamite he's legit, and can be a serious threat in AEW.
The 4th Match: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. RPG VICE (Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ** — This match felt like it was dragging in certain moments, it was cool to see the Conglomeration be in the crowd, and fight off FTR on the outside that was pretty sick, but as a whole this match was probably the weakest from the show, I don't have interest in old Christian & Edge, I rather see some young tag teams hoop for the AEW World Tag Team Titles because in hindsight if you lose a Tag Title Match you in the back of the line so it didn't make sense to me that they getting another shot at Double or Nothing in NYC. But Adam Copeland & Christian Cage got the win over RPG Vice, and afterwards, Copeland used a piece of a steel chair to hit a crossface on Trent Beretta, prompting him to say "I Quit, " which was a cool after-moment.
The 5th Match: Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) (c) vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander in an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Match Title | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a fun AEW Women's World Tag Team Title defense. There were a couple of moments in this match where I had a gut feeling: was Shida going to turn on Kris Statlander? But it didn't happen. Kris Statlander looked solid in this match. She was doing her part. Divine Dominion, as a team, is probably the best Women's Tag Team in AEW. Megan Bayne & Lena Kross really have great chemistry working together, and they just look like threats to any title in the AEW Women's Division. But in the end, Divine Dominion got the win and retained. I don't expect them to lose the belts anytime soon. But this was a very fun match.
The 6th Match: Rush vs. Steven Fuerte in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Rush won with an easy win against Steven Fuerte, and afterwards, he cut a promo. One thing I’ll say is Rush has been on TV a lot more recently, and the fans are starting to get behind him, which is a great thing. Hopefully, Tony Khan keeps up this booking for Rush because he can be a valuable piece for the upper-mid card in AEW.
The Main Event Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Brody King in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — Darby Allin once again has an amazing title defense against Brody King, and I must say Darby Allin I alreayd know this reign is going to be a legendary one, with his two title defenses both of them were amazing, and provided a great story in the ring, because in the past we know these two had history but in this match it was simply a Davis vs. Goliath Story. This match felt like a war between two men. Brody King was trying to break Darby Allin as he hit a powerbomb onto the apron, and he was doing everything to weaken down Darby Allin to win his 1st World Title in AEW. But Darby Allin fought back under and hit two Coffin Drops to secure the win, and now next week, Kevin Knight gets his 2nd AEW World Title opportunity as he looks to become a double champion, as in next week's big-time match, Darby Allin 3rd Title Defense is against "The Jet" Kevin Knight.
The April 29th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Match of the Night: Darby Allin (c) vs. Brody King in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — Darby Allin again defends his title against Brody King, proving this reign will be legendary. Both defenses were excellent, telling great stories—highlighting their past rivalry and the David vs. Goliath theme. Brody King tried to weaken Darby, hitting a powerbomb onto the apron, but Darby fought back with two Coffin Drops to win. Next week, Kevin Knight will have his second shot at the AEW World Title, aiming to become a double champion, with Darby Allin’s third defense against “The Jet” Kevin Knight.
The April 29th Episode of AEW Dynamite — My Official Episode Grade: 8.25/10 (B+) — A great episode from a wrestling standpoint had four fun title matches, and we got ourselves Swerve Strickland targeting Bandido which will be a very fun feud foir Swerve Strickland, and Kevin Knight contiunes to rise this episode was a boat load of fun, and AEW has been turning it up as of late.
Next Week AEW Dynamite May 6th Episode in North Charleston, South Carolina, USA, Live on the TBS Network — The Announced Appearances, Matches & Segments:
