My Thoughts on the March 11th Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Thoughts: A very electric episode, as we are a couple of days away from AEW Revolution. This episode had some amazing matches with Kyle Fletcher taking down Mike Bailey, and the Press Conference was some amazing stuff. I'm really enjoying watching AEW Dynamite every week, it's of very high quality with matches we get on Free TV. I'm excited for AEW Revolution. I'm really excited to see what the aftermath is next week on AEW Dynamite.
The March 11th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley) vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero & Konosuke Takeshita) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **** — A great way to kick off Dynamite with this intense Tag Team Match with the Death Riders Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley as they took on The Don Callis Family, Hechicero, and Konosuke Takeshita, who's facing Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution for the AEW Continental Title. But this was some fun stuff. I like the sequences in this match. The move was done smoothly, and I think the ending of this match was the off-putting part, but Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita this Sunday will be a very good match, noting there won't be a time limit involved.
The 2nd Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mike Bailey in an AEW TNT Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.75 — A fantastic wrestling match. Mike "Speedball" Bailey came into this match trying to gain his 1st Singles Gold in AEW. Kyle Fletcher, who is probably one of the best wrestlers in the world. Tore the house down. This match was fast-paced, physical, and had many near-falls. I didn't know who was going to win this match at all. I kept thinking Speedball was going to do it to get back at the Don Callis Family for what occurred last week. But thanks to the Don Callis Family, they cost Mike Bailey as he was cracked across the head with the belt, as he suffered a loss. Kyle Fletcher is amazing; every match he has is a must-watch. He's the future of AEW, and I see him winning the World Title soon. Mike Bailey was protected, but he was still searching for that moment when he became a solo champion.
The 3rd Match: Brody King vs. Jiah Jewell in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Brody King won in fifteen seconds. But the brawl against Swerve Strickland happened. I loved this a lot. Swerve Strickland with his chain, trying to choke Bordy King, but the chain broke, which was insane. But I’m very excited for Brody King and Swerve Strickland this Sunday at AEW Revolution. Brody King is in the midst of a breakout season in AEW. He has been super important to the show, which I’m very happy about.
The 4th Match: The Dogs (David Finlay & Gabe Kidd) vs. Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — The Dogs are a unit I'm excited to see how they will be booked in AEW. But I knew from the jump they would win this match against Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy, as to why David Finlay lost his first match in AEW after being signed. It was very basic; it had some heat to it. The match did start to turn around towards the end as The Dogs won. Roderick Strong came out after weeks being gone after he walked out on Orange Cassidy during a Tag Team Match. I thought he would turn heel, but he attacked The Dogs, reuniting with Orange Cassidy as he joins Darby Allin in his pursuit of The Dogs. But the after-match stuff was way better than the match itself.
The 5th Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Persephone in an AEW TBS Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Cool to see Persephone, after what she achieved in beating Mercedes Moné last week, but this match was something I was very excited to watch when it was announced; it didn't disappoint me. Persephone and Willow Nightingale had a very quality match in the ring. I liked the in-ring chemistry between the two. I thought this match overall was very solid. Now Willow Nightingale is seemingly doing double-duty at AEW Revolution as she will defend her AEW TBS Title against Lena Kross on Zero Hour, and an AEW Women's World Tag Team Title Match against MegaBad. But I do like the reign of Willow Nightingale. She has been a very fun champion, but I do hope she drops the AEW Women's World Tag Team Titles to focus on the AEW TBS Division.
The Main Event Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & Tommaso Ciampa (with Stokely) vs. Mark Briscoe & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was a very solid Six-Man Tag Team Main Event. Things got started with Mark Briscoe attacking Tommaso Ciampa, who attacked him on AEW Collision, seemingly turning heel in the process, as Mark Briscoe flew to the outside, so did The Young Bucks as they got to FTR. It was a very physical; it was like a Six-Man brawl. I do like the fact that Tommaso Ciampa is a heel again, so many things they can do, and this Mark Briscoe feud is going to be sick. The Young Bucks got destroyed by FTR. It was getting ugly, as it got over FTR, & Tommaso Ciampa got the win, and FTR gets the momentum before their AEW World Tag Team Title Match against the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution.
The March 11th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match of the Night: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mike Bailey in an AEW TNT Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.75 — Mike "Speedball" Bailey entered this fantastic wrestling match determined to capture his first singles championship in AEW. Across the ring stood Kyle Fletcher, arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world, who absolutely tore the house down. The match was fast-paced, hard-hitting, and packed with dramatic near-falls, making the outcome feel genuinely uncertain. I kept expecting Speedball to pull it off and get revenge on the Don Callis Family for what happened last week. Instead, their interference proved decisive: Bailey was struck in the head with the title belt and ultimately took the loss. Fletcher continues to impress every match he has, and it's a must-see. He feels like the future of AEW, and I can easily see him winning the World Title soon. Bailey, meanwhile, was protected in defeat but is still searching for that defining moment when he finally becomes a singles champion.
The March 11th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Episode Grade: 9.25/10 (A) — This was an amazing episode of AEW Dynamite. I really liked the episode because of the fact that the in-ring action in this show was amazing. I loved the Main Event Press Conference Segment, which was a very well-done piece by AEW. It built a lot of excitement before AEW Revolution.
