The January 7th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Episode Preview:

  • AEW World Champion MJF will appear live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As we hit the 1st Dynamite of the 2026 Year, what does MJF have in store for the AEW World Title?

  • Hall of Famer Jim Ross returns to his home state of Oklahoma and will be on commentary tonight. The legendary announcer will be on the call tonight.

  • Adam Page and Swerve Strickland are two men who have the same goals, and that's to put a hurting on The Opps. Tonight, in a Lights Out Match, we'll see Adam Page and Swerve Strickland take on Hook and Powerhouse Hobbs in a brutal match. With how everything has been going the past months for Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, they want this Opps stuff to end as they shift back towards the AEW World Title picture again.

  • Bandido will look to defend his Ring of Honor World Title as he takes on Sammy Guevara tonight. Bandido had one of the best years for a wrestler in the year of 2p25, as many had him as the Wrestler of the Year, with big goals with the ROH World Title and other aspirations. Bandido is looking to put down Sammy Guevara and keep his ROH World Title.

  • Last week, we saw one of the best matches to close out the 2025 Year in Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale. Now tonight, we celebrate as the new TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale, will celebrate with the Tulsa, Oklahoma fans as she's the face of the AEW TBS Division and did something not a lot can say they did, and that's taking down Mercedes Mone.

  • "Jungle" Jack Perry with unite with JetSpeed as they take on The Demend in a Six-Man Tag Team Match tonight. JetSpeed has had issues with The Demand, and they look to settle it tonight.

  • AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley will face off against Hurt Syndicate own Shelton Benjamin in an Eliminator Match. This can potentially be the Match of the Night as we might see Shelton Benjamin continue his momentum and try to earn a future AEW Continental Title shot if he manages to beat Jon Moxley tonight on Dynamite.

  • Death Riders Marnia Shafir will take on Toni Storm tonight in some singles action. Both women are looking to kick 2026 off with a bang, and I know Toni Storm wants to get back on track after a disappointing 2nd Half of her 2025 Year.

  2. Bandido (c) vs. Sammy Guevara in a ROH World Title Match.

  3. Jack Perry & JetSpeed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) vs. The Demend (Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona & Ricochet) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

  4. Jon Moxley vs. Shelton Benjamin in an AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match.

  5. Marnia Shafir vs. Toni Storm in a Singles Match.
