The August 20th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Episode Preview:

• Hiroshi Tanahashi, the legend himself, will tag alongside JetSpeed as they take on the Death Riders in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. As you know, Hiroshi Tanahashi is retiring soon, so these will be one of the final times we see him wrestle, as we must cherish the moments he brings to us while he still wrestles.

• Brodido and FTR will be in the Final Round of the AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament. Whoever wins will be going on to Forbidden Door and taking on the AEW World Tag Team Champions in The Hurt Business. Big stakes in this match, which tag team will come on top and earn the opportunity to face The Hurt Syndicate at Forbidden Door?

• Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena will tag alongside Mercedes Moné, who’s the AEW TBS Champion, as they face off against the AEW Women’s World Champion in Toni Storm, who’s facing Athena at Forbidden Door for her title as she executed her Casino Contract to get the match. Alex Windsor has issues with Mercedes Moné as she’ll be in the Fatal-Four Way Match at Forbidden Door for the AEW TBS Title.

• Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reformed one of the greatest tag teams of all-time again after Christian Cage made the save for his former best friend. They’ll be live in the ring talking about their upcoming match at Forbidden Door as they’ll tag for the first time since 2011.

• AEW World Champion Adam Page will be live as he will be defending his AEW World Title against MJF this Sunday at Forbidden Door.

• Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay will meet face-to-face in the middle of the ring. Will Ospreay is dealing with a major neck injury, so he had to get the Lights Out Match signed off to participate in what’ll be an exchange tonight as both men will be battling in the mega Lights Out Match this Sunday at Forbidden Door.

1. Hiroshi Tanahashi & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) vs. The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) (with Marnia Shafir) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

2. Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Hardwood) (with Stokely) in an AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Final Match.

3. Athena & Mercedes Moné vs. Alex Windsor & Toni Storm in a Tag Team Match.
