My Thoughts on the September 10th Episode of AEW Dynamite:
My Thoughts: This was a high-energy, action-packed event; however, AEW’s booking has begun to feel repetitive in its efforts to feature the entire roster. The frequent Money Tag Team Matches have started to lack variety, and a fresh approach to match cards would be welcome. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly Daniel Garcia’s shocking heel turn and alliance with the Death Riders—a development few could have predicted. Overall, this was a solid show. Next week, AEW leaves the historic 2300 Arena and heads to Canada for ‘September To Remember’ in tribute to ECW.
The September 10th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Adam Page vs. Josh Alexander (with Lance Archer & Rocky Romero) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Best Match from this show. Thank goodness Adam Page is fighting every single week because I love it when a Champion, especially a World Champion, is doing his job being a red-hot babyface fighting champion. Take notes, Cody Rhodes, because I wish he could do that. But a very fun opener. Josh Alexcander, who has been a. Great accuqisation for AEW has done a great job giving good matches and being the heel he is for the Don Callis Family. He's a gem for AEW, and I'm hoping he has a big 2026 for the company. But very fun match, and we see at ALL OUT Adam Page will defend his AEW World Title against Kyle Fletcher, and originally it was supposed to be Wardlow, but he suffered an untimely injury. My wishes to Wardlow and praying for a good recovery.
2nd Match: Alex Windsor & Riho vs. Emi Sakura & Mercedes Mone in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — Nice to see Emi Sakura and Riho back in AEW. Emi Sakura, I was so happy to see her because she is barely on AEW Television as she has been focusing on her own things. But this was a fine match, the babyface won this match as Alex Windsor and Riho got the upper hand against Emi Sakura, and the AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, who's facing the recently returned Riho at AEW ALL OUT for the AEW TBS Title.
3rd Match: Ricochet vs. Shelton Benjamin in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — Shelton Benjamin is 50 years old, and he moves like he's Shelton Benjamin from 2005 when he was facing Shawn Michaels on a Monday Night RAW. This was a good TV Match. Ricochet, who has made a group to take on the Hurt Syndicate, took down Shelton Benjamin. This match was very fun in-ring-wise, in my opinion. The interference in the end was going to happen. I don't know if The Hurt Syndicate are heels, or if they are just tweener. But this was fun. This feud is fresh, and I'm excited when they go to blows at AEW ALL OUT.
4th Match: Toni Storm vs. Skye Blue in a Philly Street Fight | The Match Rating: **** — A badass match. Skye Blue, who has been slowly getting back into it, had her best match of the year against the AEW Women's World Champion, Toni Storm. This match was very nasty when Skye Blue was stapling Toni Storm, but this was fun to pay homage to the ECW Wrestlers as they did it in Philly of all places. But it was a fun match. Toni Storm picks up the victory, and she is my pick for AEW Wrestler of the Year with Bandido.
The Main Event Match: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) & The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) in a $500,000 Ten-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — A solid Main Event. The Young Bucks get the money, which they needed; now they aren't broke anymore. There were fun moments in this match. But what everyone is talking about is the after-match events as Daniel Garcia turned heel and aligned with the Death Riders as he attacked Darby Allin viciously. Daniel Garcia has a new character development and a fresh start as this was very much needed for him as he was falling since losing the AEW TNT Title.
The September 10th Episode of AEW Dynamite — The Match of the Night: Adam Page vs. Josh Alexander (with Lance Archer & Rocky Romero) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25
The September 10th Edition of AEW Dynamite — The Episode Grade: 7.50/10 (B) — This was a very action-packed show, but I feel like AEW Booking has been very repetitive just to include everyone. The Money Tag Team Matches are very repetitive because I want more switch-ups for the match cards. The surprise of the night was when Daniel Garcia turned heel and aligned with the Death Riders, a very shocking moment, and I didn’t expect that to happen at all. But this was a very solid show, and next week we move away from the 2300 Arena as AEW will be in Canada for September To Remember as they pay homage to ECW.
Next Week AEW Dynamite September 17th September To Remember Episode — The Announced Matches & Segments:
The Beast Mortos vs. Mascara Dorada in an AEW Unified Eliminator Match.
