My Official Thoughts on AEW Dynasty:

My Official Thoughts: An amazing event, this had amazing matches all across the board. Why AEW is easy to watch is that they simply know how to book a professional wrestling event. This show didn't have extra added drama besides the Referee Bump. It didn't need cut-scenes; they provided great in-ring matches that simply told you a story, and you got invested and enjoyed it. They didn't need to slap on ads 24/7 or tell you to get a 25% off coupon during the show. They gave up nine matches, and 95% of the matches were good, and your money was spent well. AEW has been firing on all cylinders now we’re onto Wednesday to start the build for one of AEW’s Crown Jewel Events, AEW Double or Nothing.

AEW Dynasty — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***** — An amazing match, and my Match of the Night, you have The Young Bucks who don't even have the titles, in which I believe they should be the AEW World Tag Team Champions besides FTR. Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita, who don't like each other, had to work with each other to take down The Young Bucks. I really liked the in-ring chemistry between both teams. I enjoyed the added element of knowing Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita didn't like each other whatsoever. We saw them go back and forth at each other. My favorite moment of this match was when finally Konosuke Takeshita turned on the Don Callis Family allowing The Young Bucks to hit their finisher to Kazuchika Okada to get the win, and now leading into Dynamite this Wednesday a lot of issues will occur, and we possibly could see a beat down of the ages for Konosuke Takeshita this Wednesday as Kazuchika Okada will be coming for blood. For the Bucks, I hope they can re-enter the AEW World Tag Team Title picture and win the belts away from FTR.

The 2nd Match: Ricochet (with Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) vs. Jericho in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Ricochet did his best to give Jericho a good match, and he did just that. Fathertime has come to Chris Jericho’s door, because there were moments in this match he was moving clunky, then he hits a mid-air Codebreaker to Ricochet, then everyone likes how? Ricochet getting the win over Chris Jericho actually shocked me because I never expected Chris Jericho to lose this match. I thought some dirty tactics were going to play for Chris Jericho, trying desperately to win. But in the end, Ricochet got the win, which is the right call because Chris Jericho isn't in his prime, and now his way to retire in the future, so this was a good win for Ricochet, but knowing the Jericho vortex, he'll eventually get his win back unless things have changed with how he gets booked.

The 3rd Match: Darby Allin vs. Andrade El Idolo in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — Amazing match, Darby Allin finally is out of the Death Rider, and Gabe Kidd vortex, because when he's doing sme interesting programs it always turns out to be fun, Andrade has been having a stellar 2026. He defeated Bandido, Kenny Omega & Swerve Strickland, fighting for the chance to get an AEW World Title opportunity. But this was so good, I was locked onto my TV watching this match. I'm a huge fan of Andrade. I think he has all the tools for the AEW World Title. I've been hearing that he could get a shot for the title at. Grand Slam Mexico against MJF, but right now, he’s back to floating around. Darby Allin winning now secured him an AEW World Title Match this Wednesday against MJF. Also, we saw Andrade show a sign of respect, shaking Darby Allin’s hand, showing signs of being a babyface, which he never was in AEW during his 1st Run, so if he's going to the babyface sign, I'm very interested to see how it goes.

The 4th Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) (c) vs. Cage And Cope (Adam Copeland & Christian Cage) in an AEW World Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — Adam Copeland & Christian Cage I'm glad they having a match in their home country together again, but I wish it was a younger team for this match, because nostaigia is cool and all but it gets to a point where it gets redundant, and feels forced. FTR and Adam Copeland have been feuding since last year when they turned on him. I still believe they will be feuding even after losing this match. Christian Cage got inserted once Adam Copeland saved him during ALL IN: Texas. But the match was okay, it was a four-star for me. I thought the match went on too long, and them losing was shocking. I actually thought Adam Copeland & Christian Cage were going to get a final Tag Team Title Reign, but FTR is still going to hold onto the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

The 5th Match: Kevin Knight vs. Anthony Bowens vs. Bandido vs. Daniel Garcia vs. El Clon vs. Mike Bailey vs. PAC vs. Rush vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Wheeler Yuta in a Vacant AEW TNT Title Casino Gauntlet Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was a very fun match, but the Casino Gauntlet stipulation we should take a break from. This was a good pivot after Kyle Fletcher got injured, having to vacate the AEW TNT Title. My picks were Bandido, Kevin Knight & Tommaso Ciampa, who I thought were going to come out to win the AEW TNT Title. Gladly, Kevin Knight got the win after screwing over Mike Bailey, his teammate of JetSpeed. This was such a cool moment, I'm very happy for Kevin Knight. This is a huge moment now, let's perfectly book this title instead of open challenges every week. I just hope this title reign gets booked well because this can launch him into the Main Event Scene.

The 6th Match: Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter in an AEW Women’s World Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — This was fun, I'm really glad Jamie Hayter is back into the Women's World Title Picture because I don't remember the last time she was in a AEW Women's World Title Match, Thekla been doing a great job as champion how she carries herself, how she goes in the ring she been excelling on every level. Jamie Hayter was Thekla’s first victim when she debuted in AEW, so the history between the two women is there. Did I think Jamie Hayter could win this match? Yes, you never know in AEW. With the finish of this match, I highly doubt this feud ending. I think Jamie Hayter gets another AEW Women's World Title shot shortly, but this was a very solid match in my opinion.

The 7th Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay in an AEW Continental Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Will Ospreay is like a Dragon Ball Character; his style of fighting is like an Anime Character. I get the backlash, "he hurt his neck," but it's wrestling, ing it's like an Anime Fight in a sense, if you get what I'm sayin'. I'm enjoying this match, but having Jon Moxley winning is something I didn't like because... This makes no sense. Jon Moxley reign as champion is starting to get repeative and boring in my eyes, I didn't mind the ending, but having Jon Moxley winning is annoying me because Konosuke Takeshita is the person I hope who would've beat Jon Moxley back at AEW Revolution but hey Jon Moxley is just going to keep doing his weekly title matches, which are boring and provide no heat.

The 8th Match: The Dogs (Clark Connors, David Finlay & Gabe Kidd) (c) vs. The Conglormeration (Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong) in an AEW World Trios Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This match was a filler match if I ever seen one, this wasn't need on this show, I was very surprised that The Dogs had a One-Day Reign, it didn't make any sense I know Kyle O'Reilly returned which was great because I really enjoy his work, but David Finlay signing to AEW has been very inconsistent but this match was a nothing burger, and was the weakest match of the night as The Conglomeration are the new AEW World Trios Champions, this title has been hot-potato for some time. But I hope they can have a proper feud, and the Dogs aren't as big a threat as I thought they were going to be.

The Main Event Match: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega in an AEW World Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.75 — This wasn't like their AEW Collision AEW World Title Match in 2023, but this was one damn good match. Both had big-time entrances for this match; it had a big-match feel. Kenny Omega is trying to get his 2nd AEW World Title, as MJF is trying to prove to himself that he can beat one of the greatest of all-time. MJF was doing everything in his power to keep Kenny Omega down, and hoping he didn't get up, but man, Kenny Omega was fighting back in every moment. I really liked both One-Winged Angel in some way that move was protected, which I liked, to drag the story in, I liked the ending, why? It seemed MJF didn't have what it takes to beat Kenny Omega, so he did what he had to do to retain his AEW World Title. But now MJF focuses on Darby Allin on Wednesday. I hope this isn't the end of Kenny Omega’s pursuit of the AEW World Title.

AEW Dynasty  — My Match of the Night: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***** — This was an incredible match and easily my Match of the Night. The Young Bucks may not be the champions right now, but in my opinion, they should be the AEW World Tag Team Champions instead of FTR. Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita, who clearly don’t like each other, were forced to team up to try and take down The Young Bucks. I really enjoyed the in-ring chemistry between both teams, and the extra tension of knowing Okada and Takeshita couldn’t stand each other. We saw them constantly clash throughout the match. My favorite moment came when Konosuke Takeshita finally turned on the Don Callis Family, allowing The Young Bucks to hit their finisher on Kazuchika Okada and score the win. Now, heading into Dynamite this Wednesday, it feels like a lot of chaos is about to unfold, and we might witness an all-time brutal beatdown of Takeshita, with Okada coming after him with a vengeance. As for the Bucks, I really hope they can get back into the AEW World Tag Team Title picture and take the belts from FTR.

AEW Dynasty — My Official Event Grade: 9/10 (A) — This was an incredible event, with strong matches from top to bottom. AEW is so easy to watch because they truly understand how to book a professional wrestling show. Aside from the referee bump, there was no unnecessary extra drama. They didn’t rely on cut-scenes; instead, they delivered compelling in-ring action that told clear stories, pulled you in, and kept you entertained. There weren’t constant ads or nonstop reminders about discounts. We got nine matches, and nearly all of them delivered, making the show feel well worth the money. AEW has been firing on all cylinders lately, and now we head into Wednesday to kick off the build for one of their crown jewel events: AEW Double or Nothing.
