Thoughts of the Paper View Event | AEW Revolution in Los Angeles, California | Live Event Show:

Thoughts: This event was delivered outside of two matches. I thought this was a classic event in the history of the AEW Brand. I enjoyed the majority of this event. I think what I was happy about the most was how the women tore it down and how Swerve Strickland is next in line for a chance to win the AEW World Championship. What I love every time I watch an AEW PPV is that it's a watch, and the majority of the time, it delivers. So kudos to everyone involved in this event because this was great now we are on the road to Dynasty, and I'm very excited about it.

AEW Paper View Event | AEW Revolution in Los Angeles, California | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Adam Page vs. MJF in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | What a way to open up the Revolution. This was such a great opener for the show. And finally, Adam Page gets the win I hope this redirects him to target the AEW World Championship. MJF has reverted himself to being that chicken-shit heel everyone loves. This match rocked. I greatly enjoyed this and am happy that Hangman Page won a major victory.

2nd Match: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Momo Watanabe in a Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship | Match Rating: ****.25 | Mercedes Moné has been on a streak with consistent good matches. This match against Momo Watanabe was great. This match took some time, and both women delivered. The fans were engaged in this match. As usual, Mercedes Mone was retained. But I hope everything is okay with Momo Watanabe as she looked hurt after one of the spots in the match so I hope nothing serious happened to her.

3rd Match: Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) vs. Ricochet in a Singles Match in a Number One Contenders Match for the AEW World Championship | Match Rating: ****.75 | Ricochet vs. Swerve Strickland II was off the hook. What a damn match. Ricochet is once again the man since taking a bet on himself and leaving WWE his career resurgence has been a joy to watch as he found his footing as a nerdy heel, and his feud with Swerve Strickland fully established himself back in the Main Event scene which I'm so happy to see. Swerve Strickland in this match looked off-beat in the beginning then Prince Nana walked away in disgust throwing the bird at Swerve Strickland. Later on, he returned as it was part of the plan to get his rope back from Ricochet. The way this match ended was great. What a match and both men delivered now Swerve Strickland is a nest in line for the chance at the AEW World Championship.

4th Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Brody King in a Singles Match for the AEW Continental Championship | Match Rating: ***.75 | This was a very calm, relaxed match for the crowd after Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet. Kazuchika Okada hasn't been trying in his matches as of late, and it's shown because he doesn't try unless it's a very major match. But Brody King, in this spot, delivered big time he's a future singles champion in this company I do enjoy watching him wrestle, and I hope sooner than later he has an important feud.

5th Match: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) (with MVP) (c) vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) in a Tag Team Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: ** | This was such a filler match. This wasn't needed on the main card, maybe on zero hour. I thought The Hurt Syndicate looked great because they had been booked so strong and unbeatable, which is how it should be. The Outrunners, kudos to them, but I wasn't interested in them being in this match I wanted Lance Archer and Brian Cage to face off against Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin because that could have been a tremendous match, but in the end, the right people won this match hopefully they can move along from The Outrunners and start to reignite the Tag Divison in AEW.

6th Match: Toni Storm (with Luther) (c) vs. Mariah May in a Hollywood Endings Match for the AEW Women’s World Championship | Match Rating: *****.25 | The happy ending Toni Storm wanted. What a match. This should've been prevented. Toni Storm and Mariah May have amazing chemistry this match was only twelve minutes, but it was entertaining from start to finish. The violence, the storytelling these women were telling in the ring, and the beautiful ending. It was perfect. Goes to show if you let the women wrestle, they'll deliver every single time. Great job by these two. What a good start for Toni Storm. I wonder what's next for both women.

7th Match: Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) (c) vs. Kenny Omega in a Singles Match for the AEW International Championship | Match Rating: ****.75 | Kenny Omega shows time and time again why he's one of the greatest to ever do it. I thought this match was amazing. I love everything about this match. This was way better than their ALL OUT Match from 2023. Kenny Omega is now the new AEW International Champion, and I just know he's going to put this belt near the World Championship ranks of prestige. Konosuke Takeshita had a great reign and will soon be a World Champion in this company. Amazing Match.

8th Match: Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher in a Steel Cage Match | Match Rating: ***** | The 2nd Best Match from this show. This was the greatest steel cage match I've ever seen, in my opinion. The violence is the insane spots with Will Ospreay hitting a cutter from the cage and the insane Spanish fly. Kyle Fletcher has proved me wrong. I'm sold on him, and I thought when they started pushing him, he wasn't gonna be anything special. I enjoyed him as a Tag Team guy in New Japan, but they have made this man the future face of this company. What a great match! Will Ospreay win this feud 2-1? Now I'm hyped to see what's next for both men.

The Main Event Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage in a Triple Threat Match for the AEW World Championship | Match Rating: * | This was awful. Just a sloppy, slow, and uninteresting match. Jon Moxley has sucked in his 4th reign as the AEW World Champion as he has been slowly killing the prestige of the belt. Adam Copeland is very old and shouldn't be in a big spot like this I get he's a legend and well-beloved, but sometimes you should listen to the fans and pivot. To make this worse, Christian Cage lost his cash-in. Just all around an awful match to close out a great event.

AEW Paper View Event | AEW Revolution in Los Angeles, California | Event Grade: 9/10 (A) | This was such a great event. So many great matches, and we saw the women tear it up. AEW has been on a hot streak this year, and this PPV brought back a lot of excitement for me. Amazing event.
