The Shows Match Ratings:

Opening Match: Darby Allin vs. The Beast Mortos – Match Rating: **** – This match was very decent, anytime Darby Allin is against any big – men he always delivers every single time. The Beast Mortos is such a fun wrestler to watch his arial moves are insane and that insane dive to the outside where he spun in the air was probably the spot of the match.

2nd Match: Hikaru Shida defeats Skye Blue – Match Rating: N/A – This match didn’t really get going because of Skye Blue untimely injury I really hope she’s okay. From the looks of it, it appears to be a lower leg injury all I hope is it isn’t anything too serious and wish her a speedy recovery.

3rd Match: Rey Fenix (with Alex Abrahantes) defeats Tony Nese (with Ariya Daivari, Josh Woods, and Mark Sterling) – Match Rating: *** - Rey Fenix is so underrated, I’ve always enjoyed his matches, and he had some fun spots in this match. Tony Nese held his own, but it wasn’t good enough to get the victory.

4th Match: Roderick Strong defeats Tomohiro Ishii - ***.75 – They were chopping the hell out of each other. It’s always great to see a Tomohiro Ishii match because you know you going to get some hard – hitting fun matches. Roderick Strong got help from his buddies and got the victory to build his momentum before his ROH World Championship Match against Mark Briscoe at the next Ring of Honor PPV.

5th Match: Hologram defeats Gringo Loco – Match Rating: N/A – Hologram made his in – ring AEW Debut after couple weeks of hyped-up videos. He showed off some cool high – flying moves and the fans were enjoying it. Hologram gets his first victory, and it looks like he might be getting a serious push.

6th Match: Deonna Purrazzo defeats Thunder Rosa in a Women’s Lumberjack Match – Match Rating: *** - It was an okay lumberjack match a bit underwhelming. The only part of this match in particular that was cool was the suplex to the outside wiping all the women out. But the match could’ve been better.

The Main Event: The Patriarchy (with Shayna Wayne) defeats Bang Bang Gang for the Vacant AEW World Trios Championship – Match Rating: ***.25 – The whole stripping Bang Bang Gang of the titles didn’t make any sense when they could have held the belts then dropped it to The Patriarchy. But the match itself wasn’t anything special Christian got the win with a Kill switch and now possesses the AEW World Trios Championship after the match the lights were flickering, and my assumption is The House of Black are coming for them and seeking revenge after what they did to Buddy Matthews weeks back.

Match of the Night: Darby Allin vs. The Great Mortos – Match Rating: ****

July 20th Edition of AEW Saturday Night Collision Show Grade: 6/10 – It was solid episode in terms of in – ring. But nothing really noteworthy happened besides that FTR segment but I’m hoping they start to kick the show into a different gear with ALL IN coming in the horizons.
