Thoughts on the February 19th Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite Episode:

Thoughts: AEW Dynamite has been consistent as of late. The episodes they have been producing have been pleasant as the show flows very well, and the matches do deliver on par. The only issue I have is that Jon Moxley is the AEW World Champion I hope that changes shortly. As for this match four decent matches not eye-popping or five-star classics. But they were passable and enjoyable for me. I thought the promo battle between Adam Page and MJF was a very good television as we saw MJF go back to what he was before back in 2022 and we saw the old MJF. Christopher Daniels told Hangman that, that was the Hangman he wanted to see. A lot of the segments in the show were solid. The only negative thing on the show was Thunder Rosa was very awkward after the match save where she started to swing a chair and then backed up I don't know what was going on with that but overall solid episode looking forward to next week's show on TBS.

The February 19th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Opps (Hook, Katsuyori Shibata, & Samoa Joe) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Kip Sabian & Nick Wayne) (with Mother Wayne) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *** | It was an average Six-Man Tag. I like the new stable formed with Shibata, Samoa Joe, and Hook. I thought this match was good for the new stable to continue establishing themselves as a threat. I would love for them to win the AEW World Trios Championships from The Death Riders in the future. But who knows what's going to happen next with those titles, as their value is at an all-time low? However, I feel like with The Opps, they can elevate the titles again and make them a workhorse title, facing many of the Trios stables.

2nd Match: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Big Bill in a Street Fight Match | Match Rating: **** | This was the match of the night for me. I enjoyed it. I appreciate the push that Powerhouse Hobbs has been receiving this year, getting an AEW World Title shot, and he might potentially be the next contender for the ROH World Championship. The match featured some excellent spots, and Big Bill did a fantastic job in AEW. He deserves a more prominent position in his career, but hopefully,  as he is a very underrated big once he breaks away from Chris Jericho and The Learning Tree, he'll thrive independently as he briefly did in WWE as Big Cass. It's also worth noting that the crowd was very enthusiastic about this match; they were enjoying it. Overall, it was a great win for Powerhouse Hobbs. So far, his 2025 has been impressive, and I hope they continue to push him because I can see him having a breakout campaign this year.

3rd Match: Megan Bayne vs. Kris Statlander in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | This match was short. I wish it went on much longer because it started to get good towards the end of the match. Megan Bayne has been a great addition to the AEW Women's Roster, and I have a feeling soon, she will challenge for one of the women's single titles. Kris Statlander was a perfect opponent for her their chemistry was there, and the match was good, but I wish Tony Khan could allow them to go until fourteen minutes or have it as a main event because this match is worthy of a main event spot on Dynamite.

The Main Event Match: Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong (with Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly) in a Singles Match in a Revolution AEW International Championship Series Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | I don't know why, but this was probably the weakest match on the show. I thought these two would tear it down in the Main Event, but it was an okay match. After the match, we saw Kenny Omega come out, and he held the AEW International Championship, but behind him, Orange Cassidy was glancing at him I don't know why, but this was probably the weakest match of the show. I thought performance in the Main Event, but it turned out to be just an okay match. After the match, we saw Kenny Omega come out holding the AEW International Championship, while behind him, Orange Cassidy glanced at him as if to say that if he defeats Konosuke Takeshita next week, it will be Ora these two would put on a great range Cassidy (c) vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW International Championship at AEW Revolution. However, if Orange Cassidy doesn't win the match, the scheduled match will remain Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW International Championship. A lot of twists can happen if Orange Cassidy scores a shocking victory and becomes AEW International Champion for the third time.

The February 19th | Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match of the Night: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Big Bill in a Street Fight Match | Match Rating: ****

The February 19th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Show Grade: 7.50/10 (B) | A very solid all-around episode of Dynamite. The only issue I have is who’s the current AEW World Champion, but other than that, the shows, as of late, have been very enjoyable, and it seems like they are rolling in 2025.

Next Week Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | February 26th Edition | Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Orange Cassidy in a Singles Match for the AEW International Championship.
