Thoughts on the February 26th Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite Episode:
Thoughts: AEW Dynamite was very good this whole month of February. This episode displayed everything and The Death Riders segment was entertaining as we saw Adam Copeland and Willow Nightingale take out Shafir, and Claudio with chairs to the skull. The Ricochet promo was very solid as he has been a superstar since arriving at AEW, and the Main Event delivered as we know who Kenny Omega will face for the AEW International Championship on the line at AEW Revolution. Overall a very solid episode.
The February 26th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Adam Page vs. Aaron Solo in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This was a squash match for Adam Page to win to get more momentum. Adam Page saw Christopher Daniels on the screen all bloodied up Adam Page looked furious and concerned.
2nd Match: Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Keith in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | I was so excited to see Bryan Keith in another singles match as I know how much talent he has and he can be showcased in a good position in this company. But this match was really fun the chemistry between him and Will Ospreay was there. Will Ospreay has been having a very solid start to 2025 with fun matches he has been putting together as he captured another win for himself before his Steel Cage Match against Kyle Fletcher at AEW Revolution.
3rd Match: The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) vs. Murder Machines (Brian Cage & Lance Archer) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **.50 | I didn't like the match or the winners of this match what's the point of having two monsters in a tag team just to lose to The Outrunners? Brian Cage and Lance Archer should be getting built up and maybe be the next team to face The Hurt Synidcate for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. But I don't know what's going on because this was poor booking in my opinion because you can make these two big threats in the AEW Tag Division which needs teams like Brian Cage and Lance Archer. This was the worst match of the night for me as it did nothing for Brian Cage and Lance Archer as it hurt their stock as a tag team.
4th Match: The Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs. Daniel Garcia & FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Hardwood) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | A very solid Six-Man Tag Tea Match. The match itself was very fun from start to finish a lot of back and forth and a lot of action. The Undisputed Kingdom got the victory. This match also set up a match for Daniel Garcia as now he'll defend his TNT Championship against Adam Cole this Saturday on AEW Collision.
5th Match: Harley Cameron vs. Deonna Purrazzo in a Singles Match | Match Rating: **.75 | I do like the rise in Harley Cameron as she improved a lot as a wrestler and in every aspect of wrestling. This match was okay but this push she has been getting is deserved as she put in a lot of hard work, and her development has been very fun to see. Deonna Purrazzo had a strong start to AEW but since her strong start has been free-falling she has no direction at this point as she has been losing a lot and hasn't been in any big-time feuds. Her signing I thought she would be one of the few faces but she seemed to sizzle out of that.
The Main Event Match: Konosuke Takeshita (with Mark Davis) (c) vs. Orange Cassidy in a Singles Match for the AEW International Championship | Match Rating: ****.50 | What a Main Event. Orange Cassidy had a marvelous performance same for Konosuke Takeshita. This was a very entertaining Main Event I wouldn't mind if Konosuke Takeshita main evented every Dynamite he must watch television whenever he's wrestling. Now Kenny Omega knows who he's facing at AEW Revolution and that match is going to be fun as Konosuke Takeshita is 1-0 against Kenny Omega in Singles Action now Kenny Omega wants to avenge those losses and become the new AEW International Champion.
The February 26th | Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match of the Night: Konosuke Takeshita (with Mark Davis) (c) vs. Orange Cassidy in a Singles Match for the AEW International Championship | Match Rating: ****.50
The February 26th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Show Grade: 7.75 (B) | It was a very solid episode of Dynamite. This is one of the few consistent shows in wrestling. I thought the majority of the matches on the show were delivered big time, especially the Main Event Match. But as Revolution is a week away I’m very excited for the matches that are scheduled for the show.
