Thoughts on the March 5th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite Episode:

Thoughts: A very good show before the AEW Revolution. I thought the matches tonight were passable. The Death Riders story is kinda interesting, and Ricochet and Okada stand tall before the Revolution.

The March 5th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Powerhouse Hobbs, The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe & Orange Cassidy) & Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Keith & The Don Callis Family (Brian Cage, Lance Archer & Mark Davis) in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.50 | This was a hell of a Tag Team Match. I enjoyed this match. The action was superb. There were a lot of cool spots as well. I do enjoy it when AEW puts together their best talent to be on display for these matches.

2nd Match: Adam Copeland vs. Wheeler Yuta in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | A decent match between these two individuals. Adam Copeland gets another victory before Revolution as he defeats Wheeler Yuta, and after the match, gave him a nice gesture of respect. Jon Moxley came out in shock after seeing what Wheeler Yuta did. Wheeler Yuta walked away from Jon Moxley. This match, and the match segment, was solid stuff. Now Jon Moxley this Sunday will be all alone as Adam Copeland won't have the Death Riders trying to sabotage his chances of being AEW World Champion.

3rd Match: Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander & Thunder Rosa in Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | This was a very solid tag team match between these two teams. Megan Bayne, since arriving, has been presented very well I truly believe in the future, she'll be in a World Title feud and probably be next to face Toni Storm. Kris Statlander has been very good this year, and in this match, she continues to show why she's one of the workhorses of that women's division.

4th Match: Jay White vs. Max Caster in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | Jay White made quick work of Max Caster in forty seconds. Jay White has been booked very well this year but I hope at Revolution they don’t revert him as a heel as his work as a babyface has been a breath of fresh air for him in AEW after having a rough run as a heel.

The Main Event Match: Kazuchika Okada & Ricochet vs. Brody King & Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **** | A fun all-star tag team match with Swerve Strickland and Brody King taking on the people they'll face at AEW Revolution. I thought the crowd for this match was great. The action in this match was jam-packed. I like the team of Swerve Strickland and Brody King, a very odd pairing that just works. Ricochet, as a heel, has been a breath of new air to his career. Ricochet and Okada got the victory to have the advantage going into the Revolution. But this was a very fun main event.

The March 5th | Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match of the Night: Powerhouse Hobbs, The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe & Orange Cassidy) & Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Keith & The Don Callis Family (Brian Cage, Lance Archer & Mark Davis) in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.50

The March 5th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Show Grade: 8/10 (B) | A fun go-home show before AEW Revolution. More drama for the Death Riders as Wheeler Yuta turned his back on Jon Moxley, and we saw Ricochet and Okada stand tall against the people they’ll be facing at the AEW Revolution.
