Thoughts on the January 15th Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage Show:

Thoughts: I thought this episode of AEW Dynamite was very solid. Have no complaints the pacing of the show was very good.

The January 15th, Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Kenny Omega vs. Brian Cage in a Singles Match - Match Rating: **** - Kenny Omega return match in AEW because I know he had his official return match in Japan against Gabe Kidd. But this match was pretty solid. Kenny Omega looked very good in this match, and same as Brian Cage. After the match we saw Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega work together to take out the other members of The Don Callis Family in Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita.

2nd Match: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin) vs. Mark Briscoe and Private Party (Quen & Zay) in a Six - Man Tag Team Match - Match Rating: **.75 - A big win for The Hurt Syndicate as they defeated the AEW World Tag Team Champions in Private Party. This was also MVP first match in AEW. Everyone in the match looked decent I kinda knew The Hurt Syndicate was gonna win as they are on a super hot streak, and are being booked the proper way. I assume Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin will be fighting for the AEW World Tag Team Championships in the near future.

3rd Match: Hook vs. Christian Cage (with Mother Wayne) in a Singles Match - Match Rating: *.75 - This match wasn't good whatsoever. I was watching throughout the match and it just didn't hit for me. The great part was the after match events where we saw the return of former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe.

4th Match: Toni Storm vs. Harley Cameron vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart vs. Kris Statlander vs. Megan Bayne vs. Willow Nightingale in the AEW Women’s World Championship Number One Contenders Casino Gauntlet Match - Match Rating: ***.25 - It was a solid Women's Casino Match. Megan Bayne arrived in AEW which caught me by surprise the match itself was very solid. Toni Storm won which didn't shock me because she needs to get her get back on Mariah May.

The Main Event Match: Jon Moxley (with Marina Shafir) (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs for the AEW World Championship - Match Rating: ***.50 - Powerhouse Hobbs looked very good in this match. I was very glad he was in this position and had an opportunity for the AEW World Championship. But obviously Jon Moxley and retained his championship and had an after match attack which led Adam Copeland to come out and make the save for Powerhouse Hobbs.

The January 15th, Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage Match of the Night: Kenny Omega vs. Brian Cage in a Singles Match - Match Rating: ****

The January 15th, Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage Show Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) - It was a solid episode. I enjoyed the opener, and Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match.

Next Week Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite January 22nd, Edition Episode Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. Adam Copeland vs. PAC in a Singles Match.
