Thoughts on the April 9th Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite Episode:

Thoughts: An okay episode of Dynamite. We saw a couple of good matches. I thought this Dynamite was very filler, in my opinion. But next week's show is looking like a PPV. So I'm excited about next week's show.

The April 9th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Jon Moxley (with Marnia Shafir) vs. Katsuyori Shibata in a Singles Match | Match Rating: *.25 | What the hell was the point of this match? Jon Moxley has been one of the bad parts of AEW, which is even shocking to say because, from 2019-2023, he was the MVP of AEW. This match wasn't good. I feel for Shibata because what the hell was the point? I feel like since Jon Moxley became World Champion, he just rotten everything he has touched. But now we can tell what's next for Jon Moxley and The Death Riders as they'll be, I'm assuming, feuding with The Opps. But this was just a poor match I thought this was going to be good after seeing the match being promoted, but nope. Not a good way to open up AEW Dynamite.

2nd Match: Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) vs. PAC in a Singles Match |  Match Rating: N/A | This match was cut short. My prayers go to PAC, who suffered a lower leg injury in this match he’s such a trooper for finishing this match. But Swerve Strickland with the victory in four minutes.

3rd Match: Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe, Mike Bailey & Will Ospreay vs. CRU (Action Andretti & Lio Rush), Ricochet & The Beast Mortos in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | A very fun, chaotic Eight-Man Tag Team Match. I love the spot where they all smacked Ricochet's head and said, "BALD." That was some nice stuff. I liked the back-and-forth action in the match I felt like everyone in this match had a chance to shine in this match, and the team of Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe, Mike "Speedball" Bailey & Will Ospreay all secured the victory and won the 400,000$. I enjoy all-star matches like this because they are just full of fun and have awesome spots. A perfect match for everyone.

4th Match: Kris Statlander vs. Thunder Rosa in an Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Women's Tournament Quarter-Final Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | A very solid TV show. I thought this match was solid, and the right person won. Kris Statlander is moving on to the next round.

The Main Event Match: The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Opps (Hook & Samoa Joe) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ** | A poor main event. My prayers to Hook, who looked very much shaken up from this match. I thought this match wasn't all that and a very poor way to end the show.

The April 9th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite | Show Grade: 6/10 (C+) | I thought this episode was okay. The opening match was just abysmal to watch I think Jon Moxley needs to drop the belt soon because it has been one stain on AEW currently. But everything else on the show was fine next week's show is super stacked it’s exciting to see how that goes.
