My Thoughts on the July 9th Episode of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite:

My Thoughts: A solid go-home show with a few strong matches. I appreciated the story development; they did an excellent job building anticipation for AEW ALL IN in Texas.

The July 9th | Episode of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: ProtoShita (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher) (with Lance Archer) vs. Bandido & Brody King in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | ProtoShita would be a great addition to this lackluster AEW World Tag Division. Bandido and Brody King looked great in this match. Bandido is one of my favorites in general in wrestling this year. He has been a great piece for Ring of Honor and for AEW in general. He adds a lot to that roster. But ProtoShita gets the win and the boost.

2nd Match: Ricochet vs. Blake Christian in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | This was more of a showcase for Ricochet. It also seems like he has alliances now with the Gates of Agony came by ringside and were there for Ricochet, so it'll be interesting to see how that pans out for Ricochet having his stable.

3rd Match: Megan Bayne (with Penelope Ford) vs. Queen Aminata and Tay Melo (with Anna Jay) and Thekla in a Women’s Casino Gauntlet Number Two Spot Four-Way Match | Match Rating: **.75 | Megan Bayne gets the win and much-needed advantages for the Women's Casino Gauntlet Match as she has secured the number two spot in the Match. But speaking about this match itself, it was very much average, but the right choice won as Megan Bayne adds a lot of muscle to this match, and she has been very fun to watch since arriving in AEW this year. She has been a key part of this women's division.

4th Match: Samoa Joe vs. Wheeler Yuta in a Singles Match | Match Rating: **.50 | A very simple singles match for Samoa Joe, as he dominated in this match. Wheeler Yuta didn't get much off in this match. Samoa Joe got the submission win as now The Opps have more on their side before ALL IN as they'll defend the AEW World Trios Championship against the Death Riders and Gabe Kidd.

The Main Event Match: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley) & The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) (with Marnia Shafir) vs. Adam Page, The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) & Will Ospreay in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | This was a fun all-star tag team match. These matches I'm a sucker for in AEW. This is like Tony Khan's bread and butter; he pulls it out almost every couple of weeks. The Death Riders and the Young Bucks had good chemistry, taking down the babyfaces to have the momentum on their side before ALL IN Texas.

The July 9th | Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite — Match of the Night: ProtoShita (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher) (with Lance Archer) vs. Bandido & Brody King in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.25

The July 9th | Edition of Wednesday Night AEW Dynamite — Episode Grade: 7.25/10 (B-) | Solid go-home show, couple solid matches from the show. I liked the story progression; they have done a great job with the build for AEW ALL IN Texas.
