My Official Thoughts on WWE Clash In Italy:

My Official Thoughts: Boring Event, in which we saw Cody Rhodes & Gunther have an eleven-minute opener, which makes no sense. The Women were the Main Highlight, as both women’s matches were very fun to watch. Oba Femi apparently needs adversity? Roman Reigns needs the pen taken away from him, as to why we need Solo Sikoa back in the Main Event in 2026? WWE has become a very boring product with the worst creative they have had since the 2019-2021 stretch. But WWE continues to sink as everything is going downhill with the careless writing and boring, same matches. Also, seeing the King of the Ring & Queen of the Ring Tournament made it worse. Why is Liv Morgan the WWE Women's World Champion in it? Why is Talla Tonga in it? Where's Ilja Dragunov? Why are they Fatal-Four Way Matches again? Just garbage.

My WWE Clash In Italy Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther in an Undisputed WWE Title Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — WWE is so unserious because this match only had eleven minutes. They started to get things going, then the match ended with a weird finish as Gunther had his foot under the rope, but the referee didn't see much of it, which allowed Cody Rhodes to manage to get the win and retain his Undisputed WWE Title against Gunther. I don't get WWE because this really made my mood go down for this whole event. Like, last night we had an amazing event, and now we have this opener, which everyone was very excited about, just to flop. The Crown Jewel match was so good, but it's Triple H’s booking; what do you expect at this point anymore? I expect a rematch at WWE Night of Champions, with it being the Main Event.

The 2nd Match: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill in a WWE Women’s Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — Wow, wow, wow, this was such a good match. Jade Cargill looked great again against Rhea Ripley. These two are a fun pairing in that square circle because, wow, what a match. I really enjoyed the chemistry that both of these wrestlers have against each other. The first half of the match was very off rhythm, but once we hit the 2nd half of the match, that’s when the gear went into overdrive. We saw B-Fab & Michin save Jade Cargill from losing, which had Charlotte Flair coming out to help Rhea Ripley. As we saw the ending, Rhea Ripley won and retained her WWE Women’s Title, as she is now done with Jade Cargill, but now Jade Cargill has a bone to pick with Charlotte Flair, which I expect is the next feud for Jade Cargill.

The 3rd Match: Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. Oba Femi in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ** — Makes no sense having your young star lose so he can have adversity? Like what? Did Goldberg need adversity? Did Batista, when he went 3-0 against Triple H in 2005, need adversity? I don't care that Oba Femi was hit with 7 F5s; he should've won this match because it makes sense. Brock Lesnar is in his late 40s. Why have him win? This is why I don't get creative, because Oba Femi should be on his way to win the King of the Ring, but I doubt it because I feel like instead of facing Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam, he'll be having his 3rd Match with Brock Lesnar. WWE Creative doesn't know how to do anything easily; everything has to be so boring and lazy.

The 4th Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Very happy for Sol Ruca; she has won her first WWE Main Roster title in the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title. What doesn't make sense is her being 0-3 on the Main Roster, then getting the upset win, but it's WWE Creative, they suck. But Becky Lynch has to say kudos to her when it comes to helping young talent; she always helps out. I do expect Sol Ruca to have a super fun title run if WWE lets her. But this was a very fun match, and this was the 2nd Best Match from the Clash in Italy.

The Main Event Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu in a WWE World Heavyweight Title Tribal Combat Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — Boring. The build for this match was good. The match at Backlash was very good, but this match was very boring and dragged on at certain moments. These Tribal Combat Matches are now 0/3 for these matches. Just get rid of this stipulation as a whole. Jacob Fatu was okay in this match; Roman Reigns was okay. This match went longer than it should've gone. I feel like WWE doesn't care that the product is god-awful now. Triple H stated that tonight the landscape will change, but all we saw was Solo Sikoa and the MFTs looking at Roman Reigns like What are we doing? At the end of the day, WWE needs to know that this Bloodline Stuff is done; it peaked in 2020-2023, and a little in 2024. But just stop this. Please.

My WWE Clash in Italy Match of the Night: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Jade Cargill in a WWE Women’s Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — A dull event overall, saved only by the women’s matches. WWE’s creative feels as bad as 2019–2021: repetitive, careless, and stale. Oba Femi’s “adversity” angle, Solo Sikoa back in the 2026 main event, and the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments with Liv Morgan in the field, Talla Tonga included, Ilja Dragunov missing, and more needless Fatal Four-Ways are all baffling, garbage booking choices.

My WWE Clash In Italy Official Event Grade: 4.25/10 (D+) — A boring event overall. Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther made no sense, and WWE’s creative feels as bad as the 2019–2021 stretch: repetitive matches, careless writing, and stale booking. The women’s matches were the only real highlight. Oba Femi’s “adversity” angle is weak, and putting Solo Sikoa back in the main event in 2026 is baffling. The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments made things worse: Liv Morgan as WWE Women’s World Champion in the field, Talla Tonga’s inclusion, Ilja Dragunov’s absence, and yet more Fatal Four-Ways all feel like garbage decisions.
