Thoughts of the Premium Live Event | WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Canada | Live Event Show:
Thoughts: This was one of the best WWE PLE under the Triple regime. This show was delivered in every category with the surprise returns, the great matches, and the shocking twist. The Women's Elimination Chamber Match was great this was a super hot opener. Before the game even started we saw the return of Jade Cargill as she attacked her former friend Naomi which made her unable to compete because of the brutality Jade Cargill did to her. I have to give my flowers to Liv Morgan as she has been having an amazing 2025 she's one of the best women wrestlers on RAW she just makes anything look brutal. Bianca Belair being the one that won made so much sense I'm just glad she;'s back in the singles side of stuff her tag team stuff was fun but everyone wanted singles Bianca Belair to reappear. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky came out to be face-to-face with Bianca Belair, and it ended in a cool shot. The Women's Tag Team Match was a solid filler match for the show. Gave Trish Stratus the hometown match and pop. Tiffany Stratton gets to check off something for her wrestling bucket list. But this match was decent, a typical tag team match, nothing too special, but it wasn't bad, it was very passable. Now, onto the current Match of the Year for me. I have this match over Kenny Omega vs. Gabe Kidd this match had everything. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are wrestling soulmates. This match was just chaotic there were hockey sticks and a barbwired chair, and we saw just brutal bumps. The match ended with two apron power bombs to Sami Zayn. But Kevin Owens wasn't done as he exposed the concrete floor to try to hit a Package Piledriver to inflict more damage to Sami Zayn but before he could Randy Orton made his return to save Sami Zayn. This was a great moment as Randy Orton tried to punt-kick Kevin Owens but was stopped by WWE officials. The Main Event came and it was a treat. Drew McIntyre was the first person eliminated from the Elimination Chamber but before he left he made his mark by taking down Damian Priest. Logan Paul was eliminated by CM Punk. Seth Rollins was taken out by CM Punk. We saw the beautiful moment of John Cena and CM Punk embracing each other as both men had a great rivalry in the early 2010s that has always been talked about since. John Cena got the win and punched his ticket to WrestleMania in his final year in wrestling as he wants to be a 17-time world champion. The show didn't end there as Cody Rhodes came out to congratulate John Cena on his victory but then The Rock finally came out to finally as Cody Rhodes if he wanted to be his champion. Cody Rhodes declined the offer as the crowd erupted which was an amazing moment. But then the turn of the century happened as John Cena turned heel for the first time in twenty-plus years as he aligned himself with The Rock. This was an amazing show best PLE from Triple H and now the Road to WrestleMania has started in a blaze of flames with John Cena selling out, and selling his soul to The Rock.
WWE Premium Live Event | WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Canada | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Bianca Belair vs. Naomi vs. Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Liv Morgan in the Women's Elimination Chamber Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | A very good opener. The return of Jade Cargill happened with her attacking Naomi and making her unable to compete in the match. Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair were the MVPs of this match as they both were delivering big time Liv Morgan has been the MVP for the Women's side this year in WWE she has been amazing, and I feel like sooner than later we'll see her holding a Women's World Championship in the future. Bianca Belair now is back as a singles act and now can focus on facing either Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky for the WWE Women's World Championship.
2nd Match: Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus vs. Candice LeRae & Nia Jax in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *** | This was a good filler-style match for this event. We got Trish Stratus to get her hometown match and get a hero's welcome. Tiffany Stratton got to tag with one of her idols in wrestling, and we saw Candice LeRae get a PLE Match. Just a lot of great things coming into this match. The match itself was passable for this event, as it was a fun sprint of a match. Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus got the win. Now Tiffany Stratton can focus on WrestleMania as she has to worry about Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax in her rearview mirror.
3rd Match: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn in a Non-Sanctioned Match | Match Rating: ***** | This is the Match of the Year currently for me. This match was chaotic from the beginning. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are wrestling soulmates because this match was a work of art from fighting in the crowd, the brutal spots, and an amazing ending with Kevin Owens destroying Sami Zayn's neck and back to secure the win. Randy Orton made his return to save Sami Zayn from Kevin Owens. This match is what wrestling about just a beautiful painting was being created when this match was happening. Sucks this match didn't happen at WrestleMania but noting this was their home-country so it made it special for them. Overall amazing match.
The Main Event: Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match | Match Rating: ****.50 | This was one of the best Men's Elimination Chamber matches in recent times. We saw Drew McIntyre being eliminated first which shocked everybody as a lot expected him to be one of the final people in the match. CM Punk turned back the clock and had an amazing performance. Seth Rollins screwed CM Punk out again to help John Cena secure his spot at WrestleMania in the Main Event. We saw the heel turn of a lifetime as John Cena aligned with The Rock and brutalized Cody Rhodes.
