My Thoughts on the July 4th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

My Thoughts: Very much happy the Two-Hour moniker is back because the three-hour shows with this roster weren't going to end well, which in fact didn't end well because the majority of the episodes were awful or boring. We saw Drew McIntyre return and issued a challenge, which now at Saturday Night Main Event, we'll see Drew McIntyre taking on Randy Orton. The matches on this show were not good outside of the fun tag team match with Andrade and Rey Fenix as they took on Fraxiom in a PWG-style tag Team Match, which woke up the crowd and fueled them up. Hope they realize good in-ring wrestling can make for a good dhow. The Bloodline antics still run SmackDown as the end of the show. The New Bloodline stood tall. Please end this miserable, washed-up saga, as it has no more pulp from the juice because it has all run out in 2024. SmackDown need to gut everything and reset because this show will still suck until the WWE Draft.

The July 4th | Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. B-Fab & Michin and Secret Hervice (Alba Frye & Piper Niven) in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Number One Contendership Match | Match Rating: ** | A very interesting match, I didn't expect the duo of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair to mesh well, but they kinda did. Alba Frye and Piper Niven were solid in this match. They had some moments I liked when Piper Niven went over the top rope and did her outside move. She's so underrated and fun to watch. B-Fab and Michin had some moments in this match, but we saw one of the first teams to be in the Fatal-Four Way Tag Team Title Match for Evolution, as Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair officially qualified after winning this match.

2nd Match: The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy & Uncle Howdy) vs. Berto, Chris Sabin, Johnny Gargano & Montez Ford in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **.50 | Wyatt Sicks on SmackDown hasn't been well received for me because I felt like how they were on RAW was how they should have been booked. Go after the people who have done people wrong and allow them to face their consequences. But now they are after the Tag Titles, and I must say it just hasn't been good. The fanware is great, the fans love them, but once the bell rings, the matches aren't that fun. I did like the fact that four members of separate tag teams united, even though it was short-lived lived but it was a nice thing to see as the whole SmackDown Tag Team Division is trying to take down the Wyatt Sicks. But the match was boring, and Johnny Gargano turned on his team as they lost, with Chris Sabin taking the pin to lose.

3rd Match: Andrade & Rey Fenix vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.25 | Andrade and Rey Fenix are 3-0 as a Tag Team This was such a great idea to pair these two up and let them wrestle and tear the house down with the best tag teams on SmackDown now, they have beaten Los Garzas, who are the current Triple-A Tag Team Champions, DIY who are former 2x Tag Team Champions, and the the high-flying team of Fraxiom. Andrade and Rey Fenix, if they keep this up, I would love to see them in a match at SummerSlam for the WWE Tag Team Titles. I enjoyed this match; it was just non-stop action with awesome near-falls, and Andrade is one of the best in-ring wrestlers in WWE today. This match showcased the greatness of all four men, and I hope they receive more opportunities in the future, as SmackDown can be carried by great in-ring wrestling.

The Main Event Match: Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso vs. JC Mateo & Solo Sikoa in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **.75 | Just not an enticing Main Event Match. I'm glad that the two hours are back, but I just wish this match could've been much better. There was nothing eye-popping. I'm glad Jacob Fatu won, but they had to make Hikuleo look strong, and he attacked Jacob Fatu afterwards, and they all put him through a table. I just want good wrestling matches because I'm tired of this endless Bloodline Saga; it needs to end shortly.

The July 4th | WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Match of the Night: Andrade & Rey Fenix vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ****.25

The July 4th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Episode Grade: 5.50/10 (C) — A very stale episode of SmackDown. There was only one good match from the show as Andrade and Rey Fenix stole the show against Fraxiom in an amazing PWG Style Tag Team Match. Drew McIntyre and Trish Stratus made their return to WWE. SmackDown is back to two hours, which is great, but the show won’t be good until the WWE Draft comes because they have no depth in the Main Event, Men’s Mid-Card, and Women’s Mid-Card; they all are depicted with no numerous talent.

Next Week WWE Friday Night SmackDown | July 11th Episode | The Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. Aleister Black vs. R-Truth in a Singles Match.

  2. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs. The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) in a Tag Team Title Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
