My Thoughts on the April 25th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown After WrestleMania Episode:

My Thoughts: This was an amazing SmackDown after WrestleMania. This opened with John Cena and Randy Orton giving us an amazing segment where Randy Orton was portraying the good guy and John Cena as the villain in this story. He elaborated that a void needed to be filled for John Cena, but John Cena obliged as he thought he was being disrespectful to him. What I like is how Randy Orton seemed reasonable and made a lot of sense. This ended with an RKO to John Cena for the 2nd time this week, laying him motionless as the crowd roars. Fraxiom finally made their Main Roster debut as they signed to the SmackDown brand, and they had a pre-match hype video. Their first match as a unit on the main roster is against Los Garzas. This was a very fine match as Fraxiom looked great, and the same with Los Garzas. The crowd started to wake up as they chanted, "This is Awesome." Fraxiom came away with the victory and now embarks on building themselves up in the SmackDown tag division to go after the WWE Tag Team Championships. Tiffany Stratton came out and cut a promo, but before she could finish, Jade Cargill came out and issued a challenge. The match was official as it started, and it was going well before Naomi came to attack Jade Cargill, which ended in a no-contest. Tiffany Stratton, looking dazed, was attacked by the returning Nia Jax as she was targeting the WWE Women's Championship she lost to Tiffany Stratton in January. Very okay match, but wish it could've finished because it seemed like it was going into another gear. Jacob Fatu, the new WWE United States Champion, came out with Solo Sikoa as Solo was gloating and praising how he was the reason for Jacob Fatu. He was interrupted by Jacob Fatu, but before he could finish, LA Knight and Drew McIntyre interrupted and argued. But General Manager Nick Aldis made a match for a Number One Contenders Match to determine who will face Jacob Fatu next for the WWE United States Championship. Chelsea Green defended her WWE Women's United States Championship against Zelina Vega in a very average match. But we saw a new WWE Women's United States Champion in Zelina Vega as she won her 1st Singles Title in WWE. In a very great emotional moment, she deserves this, and very happy to see how her reign goes. The Miz went out to cut a promo, but before he could finish, Aleister Black made his return to WWE with his old entrance music and walk-out. He hit a Black Mass to end the segment, but the crowd was going insane for his return. I hope his booking his solid and not inconsistent like his first run with the company on the main roster. The Number One Contender Match took place, which ended in a DQ with Damian Priest coming out to brawl with Drew McIntyre. LA Knight had some frustration with Damian Priest as he caused the DQ, which allowed enough time for Jacob Fatu to take both of them out. This was a good brawl. The importance of the WWE United States Title division looks very promising, as it seems like the belt is going to be very important on SmackDown. The Main Event Match was amazing. This is my pick for TV Match of the Year. Why wasn't this on WrestleMania? This would have easily been the best match of the whole weekend. They proved themselves tonight as they stuck it to everyone who let them off the WrestleMania card. This was such an amazing match, from the chaos and insane moments to the crazy weapons being used. Montez ordered someone's leg as a weapon, which got the crowd popping huge. The closing sequence of this match had me on the edge of my seat as I didn't know what was going to happen and didn't know who was going to win. But the right team won as The Street Profits retained their WWE Tag Team Championships in an amazing match. Montez Ford was my MVP in this match; he was everywhere, and he deserves the praise and attention because he's one of the most underrated people in wrestling today. I'm so glad they won, and this was one of the best TLC Matches in recent memory. Great job by all three teams in this match. But shout out to Motor City Machine Guns and DIY, they did an amazing job in this match. The SmackDown Tag Division has been one of the main highlights of SmackDown, and they just added Fraxiom to the brand.

The April 25th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown After WrestleMania | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) vs. Los Garzas (Angel & Berto) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: **** | This was a very fun debut for one of the best tag teams in the world today. Los Garzas were the best choices for a debut match for them as they are very underrated and should be treated better, but it's going in that direction with the storyline they are currently in. But the match was fast paced, it woke up the crowd, they started to chant This is awesome as they were popping for Fraxiom. This match ended with Fraxiom getting their first team victory on the main roster in good fashion. This is a generational team, they need to be booked with perfection, and the good thing about both men they can flourish as singles stars after a long run as a tag team, so the limit for both men.

2nd Match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This match was okay. Jade Cargill is still kinda green for the in-ring, but she has some cool moves in her move-set that she has been bringing out, but I can tell she has improved a lot in the ring, and a lot of people have been seeing that. The match ended in a no contest after Naomi came and attacked Jade Cargill, which ensued a beatdown, but we saw the return of Nia Jax as she attacked Tiffany Stratton to signal that she will be going after the WWE Women's Championship once again.

3rd Match: Chelsea Green (with Alba Frye & Piper Niven) (c) vs. Zelina Vega in a Singles Match for the WWE Women’s United States Championship | Match Rating: **.75 | A very happy moment for Zelina Vega, she worked her ass off to get this moment and I'm glad she's the new WWE Women's United States Champion. But the match itself was very average. There were some good moments when Piper Niven and Alba Frye were greeted with a big pop by the crowd. I think everyone was shocked when Zelina Vega won, but this was a very unexpected title change. But I like the fact that this happened, so we can see fresh matchups and someone who deserves a title run, and I'm glad Zelina Vega is having her time to shine, as she has been underrated for a while now.

4th Match: Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight in a WWE United States Championship Number One Contenders Match | Match Rating: N/A | This was a good match until the DQ Finish. Drew McIntyre in the WWE United States Title picture is something new. I'm not complaining as he's chasing some title. The match ended with Damian Priest attacking Drew McIntyre. Jacob Fatu made his presence known as he took out Damian Priest and LA Knight. This was a great after the match brawl as it's setting up a Fatal-Four Way Match in the future for the WWE United States Championship. I'm so glad the WWE United States Championship is being made as a serious, valuable title again. This was needed.

The Main Event Match: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) in a Triple Threat TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: ***** | This is my pick for TV Match of the Year. The April 25th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown After WrestleMania | Episode Grade: 9.50/10 (A) | This was a very stellar episode of SmackDown. This is what they needed after WrestleMania: a good all-around show, and we had that from the debuts and returns. I enjoyed this episode all around.
