Thoughts on the February 14th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Episode:

Thoughts: A very much better SmackDown than what we were watching last week. There were a couple of solid matches on the show and I enjoyed the fact Jacob Fatu was the highlight of the episode as he was searching for Solo Sikoa and kinda teased a face turn shortly he's very popular with the crowd sooner than later they need to pull the trigger on the face turn. The Women's Title Match was the Match of the Night for me sucks it ended in a DQ because both women were tearing it up in the ring without a doubt. But overall a solid SmackDown.

The February 14th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Naomi (with Bianca Belair) vs. Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven) in a Singles Match in a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match | Match Rating: **.75 | It was an average opener. I'm very pleased to see Naomi get the win to be added to the stacked Women's Elimination Chamber Match as I don't know who's going to win that match. But Chelsea Green needs a major feud as she's the WWE Women's United States Champion they need to establish the title so soon they need to give her a great feud to elevate herself and the title.

2nd Match: The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ***.50 | This was a very fun tag team match. MCGM has been the MVP of the SmackDown Tag Division since they gave it life and now it's one of the best things on SmackDown currently. I love the back-and-forth in this match. Berto had a very cool spot with the Springboard Enziguri. Los Garza has been making the most of the minutes they have been on television. I hope once SmackDown goes back to the two-hour format in a couple of months they still be a mainstay on SmackDown. But MCGM got the win and much-needed boost for their momentum as they look to still get those WWE Tag Team Championships back from D.I.Y.

3rd Match: LA Knight vs. The Miz in a Singles Match | Match Rating: *** | Was a very sub-par match. This match happened because while LA Knight was confronting the WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura The Miz proceeded to come out which was turned into a match by the SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The match itself wasn't all that but the whole purpose of this match which I'm getting is LA Knight is trying to win back his WWE United States Championship as he confronted Shinsuke Nakamura after the match.

4th Match: Carmelo Hayes v s. R-Truth in a Singles Match | Match Rating: N/A | This was another victory for Carmelo Hayes he’s now on a two-match winning streak. Now Carmelo Hayes is rebuilding his stock and trying to be taken seriously but eventually, he needs to face tougher challenges because even though he’s on a two-match winning streak it’s against the likes of Akira Tozawa and R-Truth. But at least now Carmelo Hayes has a little steam building up because I hope this is the start of a much-needed push to take him to the next level as a wrestler.

5th Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Nia Jax’s (with Candice LeRae) in a Singles Match for the WWE Women’s Championship | Match Rating: **** | It's an entertaining TV Title Defense. Unfortunately, this ended in a DQ because of Candice LeRae. But the whole match was very entertaining, to say the least. I did expect Tiffany Stratton to pin Nia Jax to get the win and retain her WWE Women's Championship to raise her stock before her WrestleMania Match against Charlotte Flair. But it seems like they were protecting Nia Jax, so they caused the match to end in a DQ. Trish Stratus came from the crowd to help out Tiffany Stratton to fight off Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. But no luck prevailed as she was laid out as well. Backstage, Trish Stratus approached Tiffany Stratton and stated at Elimination Chamber it was going to be Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus vs. Candice LeRae & Nia Jax in a Tag Team Match.

The Main Event Match: Damian Priest vs. Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu (with Tama Tonga) in a Triple Threat Qualifying Match for the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | This was a little fun triple-threat match. Jacob Fatu made out to be a monster in the match he was the highlight for me in this match at some points in the match, I thought he was going win and be in the Chamber Match, but because of Solo Sikoa messing everything up for Jacob Fatu also from the help of Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest got the win and punched his ticket to the Men's Elimination Chamber Match in a few weeks in Toronto, Canada.

The February 14th | WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Match of the Night: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Nia Jax’s (with Candice LeRae) in a Singles Match for the WWE Women’s Championship | Match Rating: ****

The February 14th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) | I’ll say this it was way better than last week’s episode. But SmackDown has been a tough watch since the start of the three-hour SmackDown. I think the roster isn’t stacked enough for three hours. I was a huge fan at first but I’m starting to think the two-hour format was perfect and SmackDown was a lot better towards the end of last year in the two-hour format.
