The May 15th, WWE Friday Night SmackDown Episode Preview & What You Need To Know:

  • Cody Rhodes was attacked by Gunther two weeks ago after his match against Ricky Saints on SmackDown. Last week, Gunther, with the help of Paul Heyman, was given a contract to be the newest superstar on Friday Night SmackDown. He tried to sneak-attack Cody Rhodes once again, but failed. So tonight we find out whether Gunther will join Friday Night SmackDown to challenge the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, at WWE Clash at Italy.

  • Trick Williams returns home to South Carolina, where he played for the South Carolina Gamecocks, and will celebrate tonight. Last week, he held an emotional ceremony for the Gingerbeard, who came back alive in a shocking development, as it was revealed to be Lil Yachty as he attacked Sami Zayn. But Trick Williams is coming off a successful title defense at WWE Backlash as he defeated Sami Zayn, so tonight, will Sami Zayn appear, or will a new challenger come face-to-face with Trick Williams?

  • Carmelo Hayes is back after last appearing back in March during the Road to WrestleMania as he goes up against the newcomer Ricky Saints in some Singles Action. Carmelo Hayes needs to get back in the win column as he is looking to redirect back to the WWE United States Title, which is held by Trick Williams.

  • Jade Cargill made her first appearance since WrestleMania to attack the WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley with the help of B-Fab & Michin. Tonight, Jade Cargill, with a microphone in hand, will address the WWE Universe on why she attacked Rhea Ripley and what’s next for her in WWE.

  • Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair will be taking on B-Fab & Michin in some Tag Team Action, as Jade Cargill will be ringside to watch on. As Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair are coming back to them after what occurred last week on SmackDown, who'll prevail in the victory?

  • Damian Priest will be taking on Tama Tonga in Singles Action. Originally, it was supposed to be a Tag Team Match with R-Truth and Talla Tonga being involved, but R-Truth isn't cleared for action tonight. Damian Priest takes on another member of the MFTs in Tama Tonga.

  1. Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints in a Singles Match.

  2. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. B-Fab & Michin (with Jade Cargill) in a Tag Team Match.

  3. Damian Priest vs. Tama Tonga in a Singles Match.


The Official Appearances & Segments Announced for the May 15th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

  1. Gunther must decide whether to join Friday Night SmackDown to challenge the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

  2. The WWE United States Champion Trick Williams returns to the University of South Carolina for a special celebration.
