Thoughts on the March 28th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown in London, England Episode:
Thoughts: An overall poor episode of SmackDown. There needs to be a massive change in the writing for this show because the creative side for SmackDown has done a poor job this whole 2025. I thought the three-hour format would be fun because Triple H mastered it on RAW. This overall show was flat and not enjoyable; even the Main Event segment wasn't as entertaining as I expected. Something needs to change if they want the shows to be enjoyable again.
The March 28th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown in London, England | Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (c) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) in a Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships | Match Rating: ***.50 | This was the Street Profits' first tag team title defense, and it was a success in the hometown of their challengers in Pretty Deadly. This match was the night’s best match as both teams put on a solid outing. I was kinda worried that Pretty Deadly was going to win, noting they were in their hometown for this match, but luckily, it looks like The Street Profits will be walking into WrestleMania as the champions as the tag teams on SmackDown are heating up to try to dethrone the Street Profits. It was a solid match and the only really fun match from this show in London.
2nd Match: The Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre & Piper Niven) (with Chelsea Green) vs. Katana Chamnce & Kayden Carter in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: *.25 | A very below-average match. The new stable for Chelsea Green I do like and do think it will be a success, but this match wasn't good. However, what it lacked was the back-and-forth action. I felt like these two teams didn't have any type of chemistry The match felt very much flat. They need a WWE Draft soon because SmackDown needs to be gutted and have a major roster reset.
3rd Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Braun Strowman in a Singles Match for the WWE United States Championship | Match Rating: N/A | I wish this match could not have had a No Contest finish. I have a feeling this LA Knight run as the champion will be a transitional run for him, and he'll drop it at WrestleMania. The match itself didn't get into gear because Jacob Fatu came out and did damage. I hope LA Knight has a good run, but I have a feeling it's near the end of his reign as WWE United States Champion.
4th Match: Charlotte Flair vs. Michin in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ** | This match had a lot of upside to be very fun, but it turned out to be poor. Before the match, Michin and B-Fab were attacked by Naomi, which gave Charlotte Flair a big advantage as Michin wasn't at 100%. Charlotte Flair got the win and built more momentum for her match that's coming at WrestleMania for the WWE Women's Championship in a few weeks.
5th Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton in a Singles Match | Match Rating: **.50 | This match could've been a lot more. I don't know why this wasn't the Main Event match for this show. Randy Orton caught the loss as Kevin Owens came out, which allowed Drew McIntyre to capitalize to get the win in seven minutes.
The Main Event Match: Jimmy Uso vs. The Miz in a Singles Match | Match Rating: ** | I don't know why this was the Main Event Match. I thought this match wasn't good and shouldn't have been on the show. I get giving Jimmy Uso a win before he faces Gunther on RAW in London. But this match just wasn't good. The Miz trying to hit the Rainmaker and then botching it was the highlight of the match for me. Poor Match, and even poor match to put as the Main Event.

The March 28th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown in London, England | Show Grade: 4/10 (D+) | This wasn’t a good episode of SmackDown. This three-hour format has been draining as the shows put filler matches that make no sense and don’t push the young talent. This is on the WCW Thunder 2000 levels at this moment in time. Once the two-hour format is back, then I can see these shows have live and passion from the writers. The matches on this show were very much below average, just an all-around poor episode of SmackDonw.
Next Week WWE Friday Night SmackDown | April 4th Edition | Announced Matches & Segments:
