Thoughts on the January 10th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show:

Thoughts: A very average episode of SmackDown. We saw things kick off with Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes which led to Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga to come out and started a brawl. Jimmy Uso came out to help Cody Rhodes out. The matches on this show were okay I did enjoy the MCGM Match, and the Women's Fatal - Four Way Match. I think the issue SmackDown gonna have with this three hour show is the lack of superstars they don't have a big roster like RAW has so the transfer window they really need to land some big names and I really want them to put some Carmelo Hayes, and Andadre matches weekly because they make the shows enjoyable for people. But overall an very average match.

The January 10th, Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven) (c) vs. Michin for the WWE Women's United States Championship - Match Rating: *.75 - This wasn't an ideal 1st title defense for Chelsea Green I kinda expected more because their Final Round Match at Saturday Night Main Event was pretty solid. This match felt rushed, and sloppy and that's unlike both wrestlers because they're pretty solid. But I do expect a third match in the future between these two and I expect Michin to win the belt in the near future.

2nd Match: Los Garza (Angel & Berto) (with Elektra Lopez & Santos Escobar) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) in a Tag Team Match - Match Rating: **.25 - This was a nice showcase by Los Garza they got the win, and looked solid. On the other hand Pretty Deadly looked not how they usually are. They were fun in NXT and in this match they looked sloppy, and botch some moments. I thought this was nice to get Los Garza in the right direction a super underrated tag team and two wrestlers that need good pushes. Next week they're facing MCGM and I expect that match with given a lot of time to be very good. The SmackDown Tag Division is heading in a great direction in my eyes.

3rd Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship - Match Rating: **.50 - The match started off slow but with time it started to heat up but before LA Knight was about to secure his title back Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga attacked LA Knight which caused a disqualification. I really hope either Carmelo Hayes, Chad Gable, or Andrade be the ones who dethrone Shinsuke Nakamura of the WWE United States Championship because they need someone who's gonna elevate the title and put on great matches and Shinsuke Nakamura is a legend one of the greatest Japanese Wrestlers of all time but he past his prime, and can't really put on good matches anymore. I do love the presentation he has been given but he isn't who he use to be.

4th Match: The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. A - Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) in a Tag Team Match - Match Rating: ***.75 - This match was very solid. I love how Motor City Gun Machine have been really putting up fun performance since arriving to WWE. They really saved this Tag Division and made it fun and feel important this is one of the greatest tag teams of all time and they continue to show people why they're that damn good. A - Town Down Under had a solid performance they really work well as those heel tag teams that help put over other teams. Eventually I know Austin Theory will turn on Grayson Waller but for now they been putting on some solid tag teams matches so I'm not mad. Motor City Gun Machine need to win those titles back soon and go on a very long lengthy run with the belts.

5th Match: Bayley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Naomi vs. Nia Jax in a WWE Women's Championship Number One Contender Women's Fatal - Four Way Match - Match Rating: **** - This was a very fun Women's Fatal - Four Way Match. Bianca Belair was my MVP in this match she was on fire and she's now a ring general she's so damn good at this wrestling thing. I love when they all ganged up on Nia Jax's that was a kinda funny moment. I was kinda upset Bianca Belair didn't get the win. Bayley got the victory and will face Tiffany Stratton next week for the WWE Women's Championship.

The Main Event Match: The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga) vs. Cody Rhodes & Jimmy Uso in a Tag Team Match - Match Rating: *** -This was an okay Main Event. I love how Jacob Fatu was the main focus of this match he looked good and love how he got the victory. They're continuing to build Jacob Fatu as a next huge monster once he breaks away from this Bloodline stuff. Cody Rhodes was distracted by Kevin Owens and brawled onto a table. Overall an okay ending for the show.

The January 10th, WWE Friday Night SmackDown Match of the Night: Bayley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Naomi vs. Nia Jax in a WWE Women's Championship Number One Contender Women's Fatal - Four Way Match - Match Rating: ****

The January 10th, Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show Grade: 5.25/10 (C-) - The show wasn't that good. I like the three hours but the SmackDown roster lacks in a lot of areas. The transfer portal should help out a lot once bigger name come to the Blue Brand.

Next Week WWE Friday Night SmackDown January 17th, Edition Episode Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. The Motor City Gun Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) (with Elektra Lopez & Santos Escobar) in a Tag Team Match.
