Thoughts on the Show / July 19th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show Recap:
Thoughts: A brief thought of this edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was it started off hot then it cooled off then it had another high then low then ended off solid. I thought this was a standard episode with four matches, and two segments then seeing The Bloodline on top just a causal episode. I wish SmackDown was like Monday Night RAW more wrestling base instead of short matches and long ever - lasting segments.
Recap: To give a brief recap of tonight’s show, it kicks things off with the WWE Undisputed Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes talking about what transpire the previous week. A – Town Down Under comes out which proceeded into a beatdown but luckily the best pound for pound boxer in the world Terrence Crawford came to the rescue and gave Cody Rhodes an equalizer to fend himself off. We get to the first match of the night which was Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes. This match was Andrade best match since returning, and Carmelo Hayes best main roster match to date. It started off quick with some cool spots which helped Andrade gain momentum. Carmelo Hayes showed a lot of cool springboard offense. Andrade hit a sick reversal which led into his finisher which allowed him to pick up the victory. This was match was great the crowd was into it the “This is Awesome” chants roared, and Andrade continues to build his stock as for Carmelo Hayes he still in a slump. Next match occurs which was a squash match Bianca Belair picked up the win against Chelsea Green which led to the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions the Unholy Union appearing on the screen warning Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill. The United States Championship Contract Signing for WWE Summerslam was next and LA Knight, and Logan Paul traded back, and forth which led to the match being official for Summerslam but before things could be over Logan Paul try to sneak in a cheap shot, but it didn’t work as plan and LA Knight fights him and almost hit a B.F.T. As we came back Tiffany Stratton debuts a music video for herself which led into the next match which was Tiffany Stratton vs. Mia Yim, a lot of cool spots, and Mia Yim showing people why she is so underrated was trying to knock off Tiffany Stratton quick but before that happens Nia Jax try to help Tiffany Stratton which led to Bayley coming out to help and destroying Tiffany Stratton Briefcase which allowed Mia Yim to get the roll – up victory. Solo Sikoa pre – recorded segment appears warning everybody. The Main Event happens, and Cody Rhodes & Kevin Owens knocks off A – Town Down Under to get the victory but before they can leave The Bloodline come out demolishes both men which leaves Kevin Owens injured and Cody Rhodes banged up.
Tonight's Show Match Ratings:
Opening Match: Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes - Match Rating: ****.25 - This match was a fun one. Andrade and Carmelo Hayes showed a lot and I love they allow them to dish it out clean with no interruptions. A lot of back and forth, a lot of cool moments, and Andrade gets the clean victory over Andrade. The crowd was into the match which was awesome to see. I really hope they run this back again because man that was a very solid fun match.
2nd Match: Bianca Belair (with Jade Cargill) vs. Chelsea Green (with Piper Niven) - Match Rating: N/A - There wasn't anything notable just a quick squash match for Bianca Belair which led to The Unholy Union appearing via Tron.
3rd Match: Mia Yim (with Bayley) vs. Tiffany Stratton (with Nia Jax) - Match Rating: **.75 - Tiffany Stratton and Mia Yim had a decent bout. Bayley came out and cause havoc by destroying Tiffany Stratton Women's Money in the Bank Briefcase which allowed Mia Yim to pick up the victory. Also, by the way Mia Yim rules.

July 19th Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show Grade: 5.25/10 - Hot opener of a match and it cooled off after that. Very solid segment between LA Knight and Logan Paul. The Bloodline contiunes their rampage as they put Kevin Owen's on the shelf after brutalizing him. Average SmackDown with couple notable moments.
