Thoughts on the October 4th, Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show:

Thoughts: This was such a fun episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. We kicked things off with the return of AJ Styles as a babyface now as he reverted back. Before he can really talk Carmelo Hayes came out which I was very happy about because the thought of AJ Styles vs. Carmelo Hayes excites me. We did get that match with LA Knight at ringside watching on. But before things could kick into a different gear AJ Styles injuried himself which allow the referee to call off the match giving Carmelo Hayes the victory but before he could celebrate the win LA Knight hit a B.F.T. to a loud ovation. Michin & Chelsea Green had a solid dumpster match which had Michin get the victory and ending her feud with Chelsea Green. Bayley called out Nia Jax the segment was pretty solid kinda planted more seeds of Tiffany Stratton eventual babyface turn when she eventually cashes her Women's Money in the Bank Briefcase in against Nia Jax in the pending future. Naomi got the victory over Tiffany Stratton which was a needed win for Naomi. We had the stealler Main Event with three of the best tag teams in WWE today and each team killed it. The MVP of the match had to be Montez Ford he had so many crazy spots in the match they need to make that man a singles act because he's the complete package. Overall pretty good episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

The Opening Match: Carmelo Hayes vs. AJ Styles - Match Rating: N/A - AJ Styles returned after being away for three months. But he faced off against one of the bright stars of WWE in Carmelo Hayes. They were having a solid showing until AJ Styles tweaked his ankle, and had the match to be stopped due to forfeit because of the injury sustained in the match. Carmelo Hayes won but before they could finish announcing the winner LA Knight hit him with a B.F.T. to a loud ovation by the crowd. But I'm loving the push of Carmelo Hayes and the oppenents he has been facing he already has faced Cody Rhodes, LA Knight,

Randy Orton, Andrade, and AJ Styles. Sky is the limit for Carmelo Hayes. Never know maybe he might be the next WWE United States Champion in the near future.

2nd Match: Michin vs. Chelsea Green in a Dumpster Match - Match Rating: ***.75 - This was a very fun dumpster match. I loved how Michin strong suit are these crazy stipulations because she always know how to shine in these type of matches. Chelsea Green who has been one of Triple H's best signings showed why she's very reliable as she had a great performance in this match. The ending to it was pretty awesome as Michin hit a power-bomb through a table to put Chelsea Green in the dumpster and get the victory.

3rd Match: Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton - Match Rating: ***.25 - Before the match we had a brief look at what Tiffany Stratton can be if she was a babyface. The match was pretty solid. Naomi is one of the most underrated women wrestlers in the game today. Tiffany Stratton had a solid performance as well can't deny that but she got caught up and Naomi got the victory off of a backslide pin.

The Main Event Match: The Bloodline (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) (c) vs. D.I.Y. (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships - Match Rating: ****.75 - This was one of the best TV Matches of 2024. This was a chaotic, fun, and amazing ladder match. I have no words after what I just watched that was amazing from start to finish. From Montez Ford hitting a crazy blockbuster, to Montez Ford hitting a beautiful Frog Splash, Power - bombing Tama Tonga, and the crazy ending sequence which had The Bloodline reign supreme. This SmackDown Tag Division is heating up and with the soon arrival of one of the greatest tag teams ever in Motor City Gun Machine I'm very excited to see how this divison contiune to look because it has been booked very strong as of the past months. I'm very happy about it. Amazing ladder match and potential WWE Match of the Year candidate in my eyes.

October 4th, Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown Show Grade: 9/10 (A-) - This was a fun episode from top to bottom. The main event was amazing to watch. I enjoyed every second of the WWE Tag Team Triple Threat Ladder Match for the titles.
