My Thoughts on the June 13th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

My Thoughts: This was once again an in-ring driven show mixed with John Cena being the main talking point of this episode as he had two segments, a backstage segment, and was jumped twice by Ron Killings and confronted by Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Randy Orton & CM Punk. He had a lot to do tonight, which I liked because, as the WWE Champion, that's what should happen, not a cartoonish promo mic'd with the same dialogue, so I like they switched it up. The matches were solid, nothing wowing, but they did the job for the King and Queen in the Ring tournament. But over another decent episode of SmackDown.

The June 13th | Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Randy Orton vs. Aleister Black vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. LA Knight in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: **** | The best match on this episode. This was an entertaining opener. I like who was in this match; a lot of different styles in this match. LA Knight had a very impressive showing. I had him winning before Monday, but seeing what happened on RAW, I knew that Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker would ruin that for him. Aleister Black looked great in this match; his explosiveness and moves are looking like his old self. He wasn't showing a lot of this in AEW; he was assumed to be washed, but he isn't washed whatsoever. Carmelo Hayes was the logical choice of who should win because of how young he is and how they should be booking him in a good way, but he lost, and we saw a little glimpse of greatness, then Randy Orton hit that down with an RKO for the win. Now in the Semi-Final Round Match, we'll see Sami Zayn taking on Randy Orton next week on SmackDown, but a very fun Fatal-Four Way Match.

2nd Match: Jade Cargill vs. Michin vs. Piper Niven vs. Nia Jax in a Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: **.25 | A very mediocre match, there were some bright moments with Piper Niven, who had the best showing in this match very underrated talent. The 2nd half of this match was where things slowly started to pick up, but then started to drift back down. It was a very up-and-down match, but as expected, Jade Cargill won and is advancing to the next round. We'll see Roxanne Perez as she will be facing her in the Semi-Final Round of the Queen of the Ring tournament.

3rd Match:  The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy) (with Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross & Uncle Howdy) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in a Tag Team Match | Match Rating: ** | The Wyatt Sicks had their first match this year against the legendary Motor City Machine Guns, and this match wasn't that good. Some sloppy moments by Wyatt Sicks and Dexter Lumis had some botches in this match. Motor City was doing everything they could to carry this match and make it somewhat decent, but the chemistry wasn't there, nor was the heat from the crowd a very boring tag team match, and the Wyatt Sicks got the win over Motor City as they are in pursuit of the WWE Tag Team Titles.

4th Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Candice LeRae vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Chelsea Green in a Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ***.25 | A very solid all-around match. I liked who won this match and how it came out. The ending sequence of this match was my favorite highlight, as now Alexa Bliss moves on to the Semi-Finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, as she'll face whoever wins the final First Round Fatal-Four Way Match on this upcoming RAW.

The Main Event Match: Andrade vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ***.75 | A very enjoyable main event, another week, as Andrade shows out in the Main Event. I liked the fact that Cody Rhodes is fighting again on SmackDown missed his TV Matches. Damian Priest had some good spots. He's been in a good spot on SmackDown. Andrade was making a lot of noise in this match. He has been on his best stretch in terms of booking in his 2nd return to WWE. Shinsuke Nakamura was a team player in this match, being the pin-eater, and had some solid moments. As expected, Cody Rhodes advances to the next round and will be awaiting who he will face in the Semi-Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.

The June 13th | WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Match of the Night: Randy Orton vs. Aleister Black vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. LA Knight in a King of the Ring First Round Fatal-Four Way Match | Match Rating: ****

The June 13th | Edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown | Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C+) | This was a solid in-ring episode of SmackDown, and we saw a lot of John Cena as he was the focal point of tonight’s episode, being in two major segments. The King and Queen of the Ring First Round Matches were decent, nothing wowing like how it was on RAW. But next week’s episode is looking very strong, and they need to keep on the in-ring quality because it has been solid for a while now.
