The June 20th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown | The Episode Rundown:

• Ron Killings made his return and attacked WWE Champion John Cena to cost him his Main Event Match against Cody Rhodes and, at the time, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso. Since then, Ron Killings has made it noted that he’s riding his ship. On RAW, he cut a very raw promo and explained how he has changed, and the truth has set him free. On SmackDown, he attacked WWE Champion John Cena twice and told the General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis, to have a match for this episode of SmackDown. This will be 2nd match in the rivalry, as at Saturday Night Main Event, John Cena made quick work of R-Truth and attacked him afterwards. Now that Ron Killings is back, a more serious undertone has been shown, and he isn’t taking this lightly against the WWE Champion John Cena.

• Sami Zayn has made it known he wants to be World Champion as he is fighting for a chance as he takes on Randy Orton in the Semi-Final Round Match in the King of the Ring Tournament. The last time these men faced each other last year, Randy Orton had the upper hand in the match. This match is huge because whoever wins will be in the Final Round of the King of the Ring Tournament, and the match will take place at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. A big time match with a huge advancement as both men would inch closer to a shot for the World Title at SummerSlam.

• Alexa Bliss will take on Asuka in the Semi-Final Round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. After a great showing and pinning Candice LeRae to advance, she hasn’t had a big Women’s Title Match since the Royal Rumble in 2023, but is in her way? Who also has an opportunity to go to SummerSlam and fight for the Women’s World Title. A lot of stakes as whoever wins will go to the Final Round Match at Night of Champions. A lot is on the line tonight between the two women.
