My Thoughts on the November 14th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:
My Thoughts: A lot better than last week’s episode. The Last Time is Now. First Round Matches that were on this episode were decent, and we saw the return of Zack Ryder as he was the Mystery Opponent for LA Knight in his First Round Match. HJade Cargill is back to form as he dismantled B-Fab, that's how she should be booked, a killer that's unstoppable and doesn't care who's in her way, but will break them into pieces. Drew McIntyre returns from his quick suspension thanks to the hands of Paul Heyman as who pulled some strings, and is the 4th Member of Team Vision for WarGames. Next week’s card looks very fun, and just please let's hope we get another decent episode of SmackDown next week.
The November 14th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Jey Uso vs. The Miz in the Last Time Is Now Tournament First Round Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Jey Uso and The Miz, I thought, were going to be very disastrous, but they actually had a very decent match. Jey Uso and The Miz, I have to give props because, like I said, I thought this match was going to be a dud of a match, but they showed me otherwise. Jey Uso was going to get the win, but I thought from the help of Carmelo Hayes, which didn't happen. The Miz didn't look bad whatsoever. He was doing his thing and managing the match, and actually, there were moments where I felt he was carrying the match, but Jey Uso prevailed as he hit a Spear and a Uso Splash to advance to the next round of the Last Time Is Now Tournament.
The 2nd Match: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Axiom in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Amazing Match, this was a lot of fun. Axiom answering the call was the right choice as they continue to build up the Ilja Dragunov and Tommaso Ciampa story. Axiom had a great showing. He's very talented. That Top-Rope Reverse flying DDT was awesome. That was one of my favorite moments of this match, and the Spanish Fly to the Torpedo Moscow into the H-Bomb as Ilja Dragunov got the win, but afterward, Tommaso Ciampa attacked Axiom, and we saw Nathan Frazer try to get at Tommaso Ciampa, but he escaped quickly. I wonder who'll be Ilja Dragunov’s next challenger on a stacked SmackDown Card for next week.
The 3rd Match: LA Knight vs. Zack Ryder in the Last Time Is Now Tournament First Round Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This wasn't a bad match, and Zack Ryder was a surprise. I was expecting Joe Hendry to answer the call, but we got Mr. Woo Woo Woo. The match itself was very decent and Zack Ryder was looking not bad in the ring, and he was going toe-to-toe with LA Knight and they ghad decent chemistry in this match and I thought Zack Ryder was about to win once he hit the Rough Ryder but LA Knight got out of it and hit a BFT for the win to advance in the Last Time Is Now Tournament. Zack Ryder’s one-off return was pretty cool, and I saw he signed a merchandise deal with WWE, but Zack Ryder is going to revert to Matt Cardona and is back to TNA, as now LA Knight is one step closer to facing John Cena.
The 4th Match: Jade Cargill vs. B-Fab in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — B-Fab got dismantled and I knew this was going to be a squash but Jade Cargill presentation was amazing this is how she should be booked a monster and I feel like the only person who can take her down is Bianca Belair and I expect that to be the WrestleMania Match but afterwards we saw Michin being upset and was shoved by Jade Cargill which left her irate.
The Main Event Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Bronson Reed (with Paul Heyman) in an Undisputed WWE Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Cody Rhodes’ last three matches on SmackDown have ended in a No Contest or DQ. I wanted this match to actually go the length, but as expected, we got minimal time for this match, which sucked because if given a lot of time, Bronson Reed and Cody Rhodes would have had a hell of a match. The Vision’s own Bron Breakker came out of the blue and gave a vicious flying shoulder tackle to make the match a DQ, and Logan Paul joined in attacking Cody Rhodes. As the brawl kept going, the Usos came out and tried to make the save, but in a shocking event, we saw Drew McIntyre return. But we thought he was suspended, but Paul Heyman had his hand in and got to pull some strings, and now Drew McIntyre is aligned with The Vision to be the 4th Member for the WarGames Match. The match itself was disappointing, but the post-match events were very solid.
The November 14th WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Match of the Night: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Axiom in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25
The November 14th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) — A lot better from last week only downside is the Main Event Match was so pointless, the last few Cody Rhodes Matches on SmackDown either ended in No Contest or DQ but the after match stuff was effective building towards WarGames but other than that a upward from last week absymal episode.
