My Thoughts on the November 7th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:
My Thoughts: I don’t know what to say because I can see why SmackDown shows can’t sell tickets, and ratings are dipping. You’ve got Road Dogg as the guy writing the show. Why can’t you just remove him? This episode reached the depths of horrendous because what even was this episode? Outside of the Ilja Dragunov US Title Match, the rest of the show was totally unwatchable. I’ve nothing else to say because this whole show was garbage.
The November 7th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Johnny Gargano (with Candice LeRae) in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was easily the Match of the Night. Ilja Dragunov trolled Tommaso Ciampa again and declined his chances of being the one answering the Open Challenge as Ilja Dragunov chose Johnny Gargano, and it irated Tommaso Ciampa as he walked off and did not support his tag partner, Johnny Gargano. But this was an entertaining match, and these Ilja Dragunov Matches are the saving grace for every SmackDown Episode, as these matches must be must-watch because it’s going to be enertaining, and hard-hitting and we saw some great in-ring action as Johnny Gargano trioed everything he can to win but it wasn’t enough as Ilja Dragunov retained and is still the WWE United States Champion.
The 2nd Match: Nia Jax vs. Charlotte Flair (with Alexa Bliss) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ** — This match was very average and nothing special whatsoever. Mia Jax is looking to avenge her loss from last week against Alexa Bliss. As the match went on, nothing happened until we saw Lash Legend make her SmackDown Debut officially as she helped Nia Jax get the win, as she attacked Alexa Bliss brutally. Lash Leghdna and Nia Jax now have an alliance, and they briefly feuded in NXT.
The 3rd Match: Giulia (with Kiana James) (c) vs. Chelsea Green (with Kiana James) in a WWE Women’s United States Title Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Giulia I feel so bad for her title reign was terriuble, and ended in the most Road Dogg booking ever as Chelsea Green used the ropes to win and become a 2x WWE Women’s United States Champion as Ethan Page came and celeberated now Chelsea Green is a dfouble champion but what;s next for Giulia because what was the point of this? They have mishandled one of the best young female talents on SmackDown with Giulia. She’d better win the title back in the future.
The 4th Match: Talla Tonga (with Solo Sikoa) vs. Rey Fenix in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — This match was okay. I expected it to be a squash with Rey Fenix having some offense, then a chokeslam, and the match would be over. But Rey Feinx came out fighting and striking hard. And it wasn't only for a couple of seconds; there were moments in this match where you saw Rey Fenix having some moments where he was weakening up Talla Tonga, but that didn't work as Talla Tonga got the win with the Chokeslam. Afterwards, they wanted to inflict more damage on Rey Fenix, but Sami Zayn came and made the save with a chair as Solo Sikoa, and Talla Tonga ran off. Rey Fenix and Sami Zayn, I expect to have some form of tag team match against the MFT in the near future.
The Main Event Match: Aleister Black (with Zelina) vs. Cody Rhodes in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This match I was quite excited about because of the AEW Match theory had, and the match started fast-paced with a lot of offense by both men and countering. Aleister Black is in the best shape of his life because he looked really good in this match and actually was keeping up, and Cody Rhodes was trying everything to take down Aleister Black as Zelina was ringside trying to root her husband on. But Drew McIntyre came out of the blue and Claymore’d the Referee and attacked Cody Rhodes, but Damian Priest came out to help Cody Rhodes and fought off both men. General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis, after what transpired, suspended Drew McIntyre as the show went off the air. This match had promise, but ended in a No Contest. Hopefully, they revisit this in the future.
The November 7th WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Match of the Night: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Johnny Gargano (with Candice LeRae) in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25
The November 7th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Episode Grade: 1.25/10 (F) — I don’t know how to describe this episode because it was quite awful, from the unexpected title turn, to and matches that were boring and not needed. This was just abysmal. I was watching this show with disgust, as this goes to show that Road Dogg needs the pen snatched away from him. Also, next week we’re getting Jey Uso vs. The Miz, and I think that match will be horrendous.
Next Week WWE Friday Night SmackDown November 14th Episode — The Announced Matches & Segments:
B-Fab (with Michin) vs. Jade Cargill in a Singles Match.
Jey Uso vs. The Miz in a The Last Time Is Now Tournament First Round Match.
LA Knight vs. ??? in a The Last Time Is Now Tournament First Round Match.
