My Thoughts on the September 19th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:

My Thoughts: This was supposed to be a fun episode from what I saw on the card, but the Main Event Match was the most exciting watch from this episode of SmackDown, as Carmelo Hayes and Sami Zayn tore the house down. They have something for that story with Carmelo Hayes's quest for the WWE United States Title. The Main Event Contract Signing was solid, and the chaos added more fuel for WWE Wrestlepalooza.

The September 19th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. The Secret Hervice (Alba Fyre & Chelsea Green) in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match | The Match Rating: **.50 — This was an okay opener of a Title Match. The crowd was rooting heavily for Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair as they looked to retain their Tag Titles. The Secret Hervice had some good stuff in the match, but it wasn't enough for them as Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair got the win and are 3-0 in Title Defenses.

The 2nd Match: The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a super quick-paced match. I wish this were a lot longer, but Fraxiom was getting plummeted the majority of the match, but once Nathan Frazer tagged in, he had some fast-paced offense in, but it wasn’t enough as Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker had the upper hand as they got the win as Bron Breakker speared Axiom in mid-air and Bronson Reed hit a Tsuanmi to get the win. This was some fun stuff, but have this match go longer in the future if they face again.

The Main Event Match: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — An amazing match. I loved every second of this. It was Carmelo Hayes just showing out and showing the people in the back why he’s the guy, and he should get the ball and be allowed to run with it. I liked how the chemistry was between Carmelo Hayes and Sami Zayn in this match. I liked how this was a clean finish and how The Miz didn’t interfere and ruin the match, but this was a lot of fun. I do hope Carmelo Hayes is the one who defeats Sami Zayn and learns from his mistakes from this match and doesn’t do it again. I’m telling you, WWE has a story with this, as Carmelo Hayes can have a quest for this title, and it can be the stepping stone he needs to be another future face of the company. But it was a fun all-around match, and hey, Sami Zayn won with a Blue Thunder Bomb.

The September 19th WWE Friday Night SmackDown  The Match of the Night: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes in a WWE United States Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — A fast-paced, exciting match. Carmelo Hayes was allowed to show his full skill set in this match and I’m glad this was a clean finish a story can be told byt his for Carmelo Hayes his quest for the WWE United States Title.

The September 19th Episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown — The Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) — This was an okay episode of SmackDown, which was highlighted by a fun WWE United States Title Match where Carmelo Hayes had an amazing performance, but it wasn’t enough as Sami Zayn got the upper hand and retained. The Contract Signing was chaotic, which makes me more excited fr tomoroow Main Event WWE Title Match for WWE Wrestlepalooza.

Next Week WWE Friday Night SmackDown September 26th Episode — The Announced Matches & Segments:

  1. Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax in a WWE Women’s Title Triple Threat Match.
