My Thoughts on the WWE Premium Live Event — WWE Halloween Havoc:

My Thoughts: This event was, in my opinion, one of NXT’s weakest shows to date, largely because the final two matches failed to meet expectations. Throughout the night, the show had its share of highs and lows, but after watching it, I couldn’t help but feel concerned about the current state of the Men’s Main Event Scene. This area needs significant improvement and fresh energy moving forward. A notable point from the event was that this was likely Trick Williams’ last NXT Premium Live Event, as rumors strongly suggest that he’ll be making the jump to the Main Roster soon. Normally, NXT PLEs have been highlights of WWE’s programming this year, frequently providing exciting and memorable moments. However, this latest installment just didn’t live up to the precedent set by previous events. Despite this, there were definitely some noteworthy aspects, with three major title changes taking place—something that is extremely rare on the Main Roster. Tonight, Blake Monroe, DarkState, and Tatum Paxley each captured championships, providing at least a few surprises and exciting moments for fans. Looking ahead, NXT’s next major event is WWE Deadline, which is traditionally known for its unique match stipulations and intense build-up. While this recent show may not have delivered as hoped, I’m still eager to see how the brand develops its storylines and builds anticipation heading into Deadline. Hopefully, adjustments will be made, and improvements will appear so that the excitement and momentum seen in earlier PLEs can be recaptured.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE Halloween Havoc — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater vs. La Parka & Mr. Iguana in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was a fun-filled comedic match with two of the best young talents wrestling has to offer, and Goldberg's greatest opponent, La Parka, and the man with Iguana in Mr.Iguana. This was in the right spot, being in the Opener, this had the fans really engaged, and the crowd was eating up everything. Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater worked well as a unit; their high-flying moves were something else, and I enjoyed the chemistry they had as a tag team. La Parka was doing his thing. The good thing is he didn't get spearted out of his boots, and for Mr. Iguana, the crowd was loving him and had his pet Iguana trying to fight back against Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater, but this match was a fun opener. Nothing wrong with having a little fun in wrestling, but Je'Von Evans and Lon Slater got the win and are focusing on DarkState and the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles.

The 2nd Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a WWE NXT North American Title Day Of The Dead Match | The Match Rating: ****.50 — The Match of the Night, and Ethan Page has been money since signing with the WWE. He has been turned into someone who'll have a fine career in the Main Roster once his NXT Stint is over. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., the AAA Latin American Champion, was awesome. He is one of the few elite AAA Talents on their roster, and he showed out in this match. Ethan Page makes WWE Extreme Matches worth it because nowadays it's hard to make an Extreme Style Match look good in WWE, but he always finds a way to. Ethan Page was busted up and had blood pouring on his forehead. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. had his mask ripped open, which allowed him to shift into a different gear and fight back. We saw a lot of anger and rage toward Ethan Page. The in-ring action was a lot of fun, but the ending we saw was Ethan Page crashing El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. through a table to retain his WWE NXT North American Title.

The 3rd Match: Zaria [Replacement for Sol Ruca] (with Sol Ruca) (c) vs. Blake Monroe in a WWE NXT North American Title Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Had some high expectations for this match, but it didn't quite deliver. We didn't see a heel turn, and we didn't see very good chemistry between Blake Monroe and Zaria. But the story being told between Sol Ruca and Zaria was the main part of this match; everyone was expecting who would turn over. But nothing happened, we didn't see a turn. What we did see was a new WWE NXT Women's North American Champion, as Blake Monroe wins her first taste of WWE Gold as she is the face of the WWE NXT Women's North American Championship Division. Now, for the Sol Ruca and Zaria stuff, I wonder if there'll be a heel turn, or it's just something we fans expect to happen, knowing wrestling logic. Congratulations to Blake Monroe, who has been thriving since she arrived at WWE back in June.

The 4th Match: Jacy Jayne (with Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Tatum Paxley (with Izzi Dame, Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) in a WWE NXT Women’s Title Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Tatum Paxley's crowning moment befoe I get into giving my review Tatum Paxley has been overlooked for years and the fan support for her has been unreal she is a great talent and someone who should be a piece for the future of WWE on the Main Roster I hope she has a great reign, and I'm so happy Shawn Michael pulled the trigger on this. This match was a lot of fun with drama on the outside and chaos in the ring. We saw Fatal Influence and The Culling being ejected from the ringside before they returned and caused more chaos. This match, I thought Izzi Dame was going to cost Tatum Paxley the match due tojealousyy and envy, but it didn't work as she cracked Jacy Jayne with the WWE NXT Women's Title, and Tatum Paxley got the win and celebrated with the members of The Culling, and I hope this isn't a transitional reign at all because I want a decent reign with solid matches for Tatum Pacxley but this was some fun stuff, and happy with the result.

The 5th Match: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) (c) vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) (with Cutler James & Saquon Shugars) in a WWE NXT Tag Team Title Broken Rules Match | The Match Rating: *.75 — The nostalgia of the Hardy Boyz will never go away, but man, when the bell rings, it's a hard watch to see the Hardy Boyz wrestle in extreme stipulations because of their age. DarkState Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin regained their WWE NXT Tag Team Titles to become two-time winners of the belts. The Hardy Boyz had some moments in this match, but this was one of the weakest matches of the show, and I wish it were Saquon Shugars holding one of those titles because he's one of the most talented individuals on the NXT roster. But yeah, I don't have much to say about this because this match wasn't good whatsoever. I feared for the Hardy Boyz's lives.

The Main Event Match: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Trick Williams in a WWE NXT Title Match | The Match Rating: ** — Presumably, Trick Williams's final match in NXT, as he has been rumored to move up to the Main Roster, was a very much a letdown of a match. This match was really boring, and I know this is Ricky Saints' 1st Title Defense; they and Trick Williams didn't have good chemistry in the ring, and the match felt like it dragged in certain moments. But Ricky Saints prevailed and retained his title, and nothing happened afterwards, no returns or attacks, just Ricky Saints soaking in the moment, and I feel like this match needed a stipulation because if they added that, the match would've been a lot better.

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE Halloween Havoc —  The Match of the Night: Ethan Page (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a WWE NXT North American Title Day Of The Dead Match | The Match Rating: ****.50

WWE Premium Live Event | WWE Halloween Havoc — The Event Grade: 6.25/10 (C) — This was actually one of NXT’s weakest shows due to the last two matches of the show not delivering. The show had its ups and downs, but what I gathered from watching this is the Men's Main Event Scene needs so much help, as we can tell this was probably Trick Williams’ final ever NXT PLE, as he has been rumored for the Main Roster. But this event underperformed for me, and NXT PLE's this year have been so much fun, but this was easily the weakest one in my opinion. But we saw three title changes on a WWE PLE, which is super rare on the Main Roster, as Blake Monroe, DarkState, and Tatum Pacxley all became champions tonight. NXT’s next event is WWE Deadline, which usually has stipulations, but I'm excited to see how they build towards it.
