My Official Thoughts on the June 29th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Official Thoughts: This episode was okay; I think the whole strong point to this episode was the Ethan Page and Rey Mysterio Match, including the Main Event Match mixed in with Lyra Valkyria’s amazing promo, with her being unhinged, ditching everything she once was. My issues with this episode is repeating of the same matches, and seeing how WWE can't use the roster properly, like where's Je'Von Evans? Ivy Nile? The Creed Brothers? Like there's so much missing from this show. The Main Event Segment was great, we finally getting Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, which means if Oba Femi is working double duty, it'll be against Sami Zayn. But I do hope in Chicago someone by the name of CM Punk returns to Monday Night RAW and enters the Road to SummerSlam.

My Official Match Ratings for the June 29th WWE Monday Night RAW Episode:

The Opening Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a very fun opener. Rey Mysterio had a good reception from the Atlantic City Crowd. Ethan Page, who has been kinda floating since his feud for the WWE Intercontinental Title. Rey Mysterio had some great offense on display, mixed in with Ethan Page doing his heelish tactics, but in the end we saw Rey Mysterio get the win, as the crowd was satisfied with the result. But I do hope they get Ethan Page going again, but we'll see.

The 2nd Match: Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: *.25 — This match wasn't needed. It looks like The Vision is reaching its demise with the brief interaction that Austin Theory had with Paul Heyman backstage. Austin Theory came out alone to confront the Street Profits, as next week it was announced The Vision would get their rematch in Chicago for the WWE World Tag Team Titles. But this match wasn't good. Austin Theory’s 3rd Push has failed again. Joe Hendry did his thing. I don't think he stinks. I do enjoy his character from time to time, but in the end, Joe Hendry got the win as Austin Theory is falling even further in the abyss of the Lower-Mid Card.

The 3rd Match: Jimmy Uso (with Jey Uso) vs. LA Knight in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ** — This match once again happens, as this time it was as average as last week's match. I do think LA Knight being back in The Bloodline Vortex sucks, as this time around Solo Sikoa is trying to get LA Knight as an ally as he lost his whole MFT Stable as they officially disband even though Jimmy Uso got the win, LA Knight still stood tall as he hit a BFT to Jey Uso, and looked at Solo Sikoa as he now is starting to see Solo Sikoa wasn't lying. But this needs to wrap up; LA Knight should be in some fresh feuds, not a recycled Bloodline Civil War Pt. 2.

The 4th Match: Raquel Rodriguez vs. Maxxine Dupri in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Raquel Rodriguez earned a future shot at Sol Ruca’s WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match. Maxxine Dupri is heading towards a reset with a heel turn on the horizon; in a sense, this match was a squash match for Maxxine Dupri, as I don’t remember the last time she won a match on the Main Shows. Raquel Rodriguez has been getting endless opportunities with the likes of Ivy Nile, and Roxanne Perez could get them instead.

The Main Event Match: Chad Gable vs. JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Best Match of the Night: I was very excited for this when announced last week on Monday Night RAW because two very good in-ring wrestlers going at it in the Main Event Match was very good. I like how JD McDonagh gelled with Chad Gable in the ring; it got a good amount of time. I did know Danhausen eventually would appear and do his trickery, knowing his gift was stolen and being worn by Dominik Mysterio. Chad Gable kept attacking the leg of JD McDonagh to weaken it so he could apply the Ankle Lock; he had it locked in a couple of times, but failed in trying to submit. But thanks to the distraction caused by Danhausen, which allowed Chad Gable to make JD McDonagh submit to the Ankle Lock. Chad Gable is once again catching much-needed momentum.

My Official Match of the Night for the June 29th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: Chad Gable vs. JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Best Match of the Night: I was excited for this match from last Monday on RAW, featuring two skilled wrestlers. JD McDonagh and Chad Gable's in-ring chemistry was notable, with good time allocated. I expected Danhausen to appear, given his gift was stolen by Dominik Mysterio. Gable focused on McDonagh's leg to set up the Ankle Lock, locking it a few times but failing to get the submission. However, a distraction by Danhausen allowed Gable to make McDonagh submit. Gable is gaining momentum.

My June 29th Official Episode Grade for WWE Monday Night RAW: 6.25/10 (C+) — This episode was decent overall. The highlights were Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page, the main event, and Lyra Valkyria’s intense promo. My main issue was the repetition — WWE keeps recycling the same matches and doesn’t use the roster well enough. I’d also like to see more of Je’Von Evans, Ivy Nile, and The Creed Brothers. The main event segment was strong, and it looks like we’re heading toward Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. If Oba Femi is double-booked, then Sami Zayn could be next in line. I’m also hoping CM Punk returns in Chicago and kicks off the Road to SummerSlam.
