My Thoughts on the August 25th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: A fun episode of Monday Night RAW was highly enjoyable. The crowd, matches, and segments all contributed to a fun experience. RAW is most entertaining when it features exciting matches alongside good segments. This episode exemplifies how RAW should be booked. My only concern is that the RAW Tag Division rarely gets enough attention, which should be addressed. Aside from that, it was a very solid go-home show for RAW before Clash at Paris this Sunday. Overall, tonight’s RAW was very well done.

The August 25th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh (with Finn Balor) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was such an amazing opener for the Birmingham crowd. Dragon Lee is easily one of the best performers in the world, and the fact that he hasn’t been pushed as much yet is insane. JD McDonagh, we know how good he is, such a good asset for WWE. Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh had a crazy back-and-forth action. Finn Balor was ejected which played a factor in this match but I have to say Dragon Lee is must-see televeion I do like the usage of him as he been part of Monday Night RAW and wrestling a lot as of late since July please keep this up and I would love to see him fight Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Interconitnental Title as he interfere in this match hbut it didn’t work as AJ Styles came from the crowd and equalize him. Dragon Lee gets the win, which I think is one of his first singles wins on Monday Night RAW in a very long time. Please keep this up; they had the crowd loving this match. Dragon Lee needs to be one of the young talents who get the weekly matches treated as if he were in New Japan, a star.

The 2nd Match: Kofi Kingston (with Grayson Waller & Xavier Woods) vs. Penta in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was very decent. I thought this match was very solid. Kofi Kingston hasn’t had a singles match in such a long time, so it was refreshing seeing him do it one-on-one with Penta. Penta was having some cool moments, and has usual the crowd was usually behind Penta in this match. Grayson Waller was using his tactics as he had been aligned with the New Day and was trying to get on their good side of things. Penta hit the Penta Driver, in which Kofi Kingston kicked out, which was very shocking because I don’t think someone has kicked out of that yet this year. Grayson Waller tried to distract, but it didn’t work as he got a kick to the face. But Kofi Kingston got the upper hand and hit a Trouble In Paradise and got the win against Penta, so the feud seems to be continuing after the win by Kofi Kingston.

The 3rd Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez (with Raquel Rodriguez) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — This was a very solid match. I thought Rhea Ripley and Roxanne Perez had great chemistry, but remembering their match a couple of months back wasn’t shocked that this match was enjoyable. You’ve got two of the best in-ring talents going at it; you expect them to deliver. Need Rhea Ripley to have more matches on Monday Nights. She’s so good, and I like the fact that she’s away from the WWE Women’s World Title and having a normal feud, something fresh, and needed for her at this time. A riptide for the win, but afterwards, an attack occurred, which led to IYO SKY making the save for Rhea Ripley as the crowd exploded for IYO SKY. I’m assuming a tag team match will be set soon for IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley vs. The Judgement Day’s own Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. But this was overall good stuff, and I was happy seeing what occurred with IYO SKY saving Rhea Ripley, loving this story being told between those two.

The 4th Match: AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — A very fun match with the hot crowd in England going crazy for AJ Styles. I liked how AJ Styles is still chasing the WWE Intercontinental Title and having this match with Finn Balor. Finn Balor was going at a good pace, he looked very solid in this match same can be said for AJ Styles, who has been so good in the year of 2025. AJ Styles caught Finn Balor in a Styles Clash, and now The Judgement Day went 0-3 on the night in Birmingham. AJ Styles wants the WWE Intercontinental Title. I hope he gets the match set for WWE Clash at Paris as one of the final matches announced for the show.

The Main Event Match: Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman) vs. LA Knight in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a very okay Main Event. It started very hot with the backstage brawl and Roman Reigns taking out Bronson Reed so he wouldn’t be a factor in the match. Bron Breakker was getting tossed around like a toy by LA Knight. Some solid in-ring action. The only problem I had with this was when Seth Rollins came out with a very sloppy spear to the outside by Bron Breakker, and a somber ending to this match. Jey Uso came out afterwards and was put down by The Vision. But CM Punk came out and battled with the Vision as he hammered punches at Bron Breakker and took him out with the ringpost. As the crowd is singing Cult of Personality, CM Punk and Seth Rollins fight it out. But Bron Breakker drags him out and pulls Seth Rollins away as CM Punk is standing in the ring with a beaten-down Jey Uso and LA Knight. CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight had a brief confrontation, which led to a brawl between all three men. Crazy chaotic ending to Monday Night RAW as this Sunday at Clash at Paris, Seth Rollins defends his WWE World Heavyweight Title against CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight. Jey Uso stands tall, Superkicking CM Punk and LA Knight as Seth Rollins looked on. This was great stuff and hell of a way to enjoy Monday Night RAW.

The August 25th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh (with Finn Balor) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ****.25

The August 25th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 8.50/10 (A-) — This Episode of Monday Night RAW was super enjoyable. The crowd, the matches, and the segments were very enjoyable. Monday Night RAW is fun when we get sick matches mixed in with some good segments. This show is an example of how Monday Night RAW should be booked. The only issue I have is that the RAW Tag Division never gets any spotlight, which needs to change, but other than that a very enjoyable go-home show for RAW, as Clash at Paris is this Sunday. Very solid stuff from tonight’s episode of RAW.
