My Thoughts on the March 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:
My Thoughts: The top moment of this episode was the Main Event Segment in which we finally got some much-needed physicality because Jey Uso helped make Roman Reigns snap sounds familiar, some 2020-2023 Bloodline Lore? But this episode was okay for me. I was upset that Penta and Dominik Mysterio’s rematch didn't go as I thought it would, but at least we got Prince Bálor returning to unleash a beating on JD McDonagh. Please end The Vision, they are not needed anymore, it's like a jobber stable without Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed. The Women's Tag Team Match was awesome. I always enjoy seeing Asuka, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, and Kairi Sane going at it. Je'Von Evans is like must-see TV. He's just amazing in the ring, but Oba Femi is reaching 98' Goldberg Level Pop. Apparently, he's just simply the future. This is WWE's easiest layup of all-time. But next week in Madison Square Garden looks like we’re getting an insane CM Punk and Roman Reigns close-out next week. I can't wait for that.
The March 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Match Ratings:
The Opening Match: The Vision (Austin Theory & Logan Paul) vs. The Usos (Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: N/A — No comment, this wasn't needed. This was the only match on the show I had zero interest in. I knew this match wasn't going to be good. It's so funny that Paul Heyman was out with Brock Lesnar, but not for the Vision. He even knows this is a horrid stable. LA Knight came out during this match, we saw Jey Uso get the brass knuckles to lay off Austin Theory, which caused the DQ finish, then came back in the ring to destroy Logan Paul. I didn't think this was needed. I kinda see this direction going to a World Tag Team Title Match at WrestleMania. But that's all I gotta say, this wasn't needed. Please end the Vision. It had potenial last year, but now they are the equivalent of the House of Torture; they are the WWE version of House of Torture.
The 2nd Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Grayson Waller (with Kofi Kingston) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — I enjoyed the hell out of this sprint. Je'Von Evans is must-see television. The things he was doing in this match had me on my feet: the inside-outside dives, the crazy top rope hurricanrana to Grayson Waller. This match just continues to show how popular Je'Von Evans is becoming because he's just electric in the ring. The closing sequence of this match was very well-done. I have a feeling that he'll be a part of WrestleMania, hopefully chasing the WWE Intercontinental Title, but I really enjoyed this. Je'Von Evans is becoming one of my favorite wrestlers. He's just fun, and on top of that, he's authentic. Grayson Waller was scolded at the end by Kofi Kingston. Is a face turn for Grayson Waller coming? Since 2024, his WWE career has been stagnant; he hasn't done much and has been floundering. Once a highly touted prospect who main evented MSG against Edge, he had matches against big names to start in the Main Roster, but is now a jobber who gets over NXT Wrestlers. But let's see how it plays out because Grayson Waller is talented but hasn't been utilized to his fullest potenial.
The 3rd Match: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — A very enjoyable tag team match, I love the team of Bayley & Lyra Valkyria, such a godly team. The Kabuki Warriors are falling off track as the tension between Asuka and Kairi Sane is growing with every loss. But Bayley & Lyra Valkyria are who I think will win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania. But man, this is the stuff I enjoy, a good wrestling tag style match, that's very clean, and enjoyable, not like the slop we got in the earlier part of the show with the Usos and the Vision. But the Women's Tag Team Division is still hot, and we are now on a crash course for a Multi-Women Tag Team Match at WrestleMania as Bayley and Lyra Valkyria called out the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, The Irresistible Forces, for a match next week at the most famous arena, MSG. Let's see if the challenge is accepted.
The Main Event Match: Penta (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio (with JD McDonagh) in a WWE Intercontinental Title | The Match Rating: ** — This match wasn't like the match a couple of weeks back, very much a let-down because it was sloppy, and Dominik Mysterio wasn't even going 100%. Obviously, I enjoyed Finn Bálor coming out and destroying Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh after the match, which was a good post-match angle. But the match itself could've been another open challenge for Penta with him facing someone like Rusev or Chad Gable, but instead, we got this. But I'm glad now that Dominik Mysterio won't be focused on the WWE Intercontinental Title, and can just focus on Finn Bálor, which I expect to be a very enjoyable feud.
The March 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Match of the Night: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — A very fun match, I always enjoy watching all four of these women going at it bnecause they are just simply fun to watch, I knew Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were getting the win, as they are rumored to be apart of the Mutli-Women Women’s Tag Team Title Match at WrestleMania. But I’m happy they are gaining momentum, with them fighting for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Madison Square Garden against Lash Legend and Nia Jax. I expect a fun match.
The March 23rd Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Episode Grade: 6.25/10 (C+) — In terms of in-ring material, there were two fun matches, but the matches that they were hyping up didn’t get to that level. I felt like the major segments carried this episode of Monday Night RAW, but next week in MSG, they need to be a lot better in the ring. MSG Episode is always my favorite because it’s rocking in NYC. They need to do what they did in November and replicate that again.
