My Official Thoughts on the May 11th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Official Thoughts: The May 11th episode of Monday Night RAW was pretty solid. There were a few matches I really enjoyed, and Jacob Fatu continues to come across as the most dangerous and best-booked wrestler on the RAW roster, especially after he took out Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Roman Reigns to close the show. The difference between RAW and SmackDown is like night and day, which I find pretty hilarious. What I want to see even more of are fun matches, and RAW has been delivering on that for the past few weeks. Going into next week, I’d love to see more tension brewing between Montez Ford and Seth Rollins, since that’s been a great story to follow week-to-week. I’ve also been really enjoying the WWE Intercontinental Title scene. Overall, it was a very fun episode. And please keep giving me more IYO SKY matches, they’ve been the best part of RAW for the past two weeks.

The May 11th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Joe Hendry & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. The Vision (Austin Theory, Bron Breakker & Logan Paul) (with Paul Heyman) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.25 — Joe Hendry & The Street Profits were fun in this match. Can’t say the same for Austin Theory & Logan Paul, who killed it for me with their poor performance. Bron Breakker is like Joe Burrow, but his supporting weapons are Hunter Henry and Xavier Legette. He should be with Paul Heyman by himself, not with those two clowns, who, by the way, had an awful promo performance before the match. But this match was solid in some points, especially when Montez Ford, in my eyes, is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world and possesses everything you need to be a Superstar at the Main Event Level. They have been booking him seriously with Angelo Dawkins, and the tension with Seth Rollins feels consistent, not temporary. Joe Hendry was very solid in this match; the crowd loves him. Bron Breakker is such a beast; he adds a new gear when he’s in a match. I knew Seth Rollins was going to appear, as he helped The Profits & Joe Hendry secure the win, but afterward, as Bron Breakker was loading up a spear, he ducked out of the way, and Angelo Dawkins took the spear as Montez Ford and Seth Rollins had an intense moment once again. The good thing is, at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the WWE World Tag Team Titles will be on the line as The Street Profits take on The Vision. As I see it, Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford could become 4x WWE Tag Team Champions and, hopefully, be pushed into this Main Event Level position they are in, which they always deserved to be in in the first place. Also, to add to the tension between Montez Ford & Seth Rollins, in reality, Seth Rollins isn’t a trustworthy person, which Montez Ford knows, as they had run-ins in 2020 and 2022. So he can’t trust someone who has done everyone dirty, which is a smart character choice by him.

The 2nd Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Rusev in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — Je'Von Evans was very fun in this match, but what this match told me is to bring back House Shows, because House Shows helped build chemistry between wrestlers. Now, not saying this match sucked, but it could've been a lot better. The chemistry was in the middle; some fun moments in this match. Rusev was doing a good job as the angry heel, while Je'Von Evans was the red-hot babyface, with the Knoxville crowd behind him. The ending sequence of this match was my favorite part. Whenever Je'Von Evans is ready to unleash the OG Cutter, he always does something crazy to progress to it, as we saw in this match, as he nailed the OG Cutter to beat Rusev and get the win. I'm kinda shocked Je'Von Evans & Rusev aren't in the WWE Intercontinental Title Match on Saturday's Night Main Event. Still, I do think with RAW being in Je'Von Evans hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina, maybe those two can be added to make for a great Fatal-Four Way Match for the Event. But Je'Von Evans is one of the most exciting people to watch in WWE. I’m very glad he’s been booked well. Let's hope the payoff is him winning the WWE Intercontinental Title at WWE SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this August.

The 3rd Match: IYO SKY vs. Sol Ruca in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — Now, this is what I'm talking about. These are the matches I want to see more of on Weekly Television, not just for PLE's weekly shows, which should have insane matches. Look at AEW; it brings good TV and has people excited. Now, Sol Ruca is already off to a great start on RAW, having a match against Liv Morgan, the WWE Women's World Champion, on her RAW Debut, having her own segment to sign her Monday Night RAW Contract, which also soft-launched a feud against becky Luynch whop's the WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. Now she's facing who I think is the Ace of WWE in IYO SKY. This was the Match of the Night for me, yes, there were some clunky moments, but this was great, some of the great offense from these two, Sol Ruca had some sick reversals, and moves. This was a very fun match, and the crowd was very much engaged with it. Now, what I liked is the finish. IYO SKY, the veteran who knows a trick or two, caught Sol Ruca for the roll-up win, but in the end, this match showed how Sol Ruca is still a rookie and needs to learn a lot. Also, laughed at the segment after the match where Becky Lynch laughed at Sol Ruca. But this was fun, and they executed this match well. This matchmaking makes the TV much better.

The 4th Match: Oba Femi vs. Los Garza (Angel & Berto) in a Two-On-One Handicap Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Oba Femi had his 2nd Edition of his Open Challenge. Adam Pearce, the RAW General Manager, came out to announce no one wanted to answer the call, so what did Oba Femi do? He took it upon himself to find someone. and whom he found, Los Garza, to make his match a Two-On-One Handicap Match as he destroyed both men who were not in wrestling attire in fifty-two seconds. Now I love Oba Femi, but Los Garza are so talented, and now subjected to jobbers. They were the AAA World Tag Team Champions last year. They can be great help for the Tag Division, but they seem like they are Low-Card / Jobber Wrestlers now. I do wish they could go to AAA, but I don’t know if that’s likely. But for Oba Femi, he contiunes his madness. I want a better opponent for next week, maybe a returning Sheamus, or maybe someone we wouldn’t expect, but Oba Femi is still over, and I do hope they give him another major feud before his match at SummerSlam against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, which is heavily rumored.

The Main Event Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. The Original El Grande Americano in a AAA Mega Title Match | The Match Rating: *** — AAA Mega Title was defended for the first time on Monday Night RAW, as throughout the night, they hyped this match between Dominik Mysterio and The Original El Grande Americano. I thought Original El Grande Americano was going to win to make his match against El Grande Americano a AAA Mega Title Match with the Mask vs. Mask stipulation still being input. But this match was decent, could've been a lot better in my eyes. The Original El Grande Americano was doing a lot in this match trying to find a way to become champioon as the Los AMericanos came out trying to insert themselves before the Los Americanos Hermanos came out to make the save but El Grande Americano distracted The Original El Grande Americano as Dominik Mysterio hit the 619, and Frog-Splash to retain his AAA Mega Title in the Main Event of Monday Night RAW.

The May 11th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  My Official Match of the Night: IYO SKY vs. Sol Ruca in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **** — This is the kind of match I want on weekly WWE TV, not just PLEs. Sol Ruca’s already having a strong RAW debut run, facing Liv Morgan, getting her own contract segment, teasing a Becky Lynch feud, and now wrestling IYO SKY, whom I see as WWE’s ace. It was my Match of the Night: a few rough spots, but great offense, slick reversals from Sol, and an engaged crowd. I loved the finish, with veteran IYO winning via roll-up to show Sol’s inexperience, plus Becky laughing afterward was a fun touch. This is the matchmaking that makes TV better.

The May 11th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C+) — The May 11th Episode of Monday Night RAW was decent, there was a few matches, I really enjoyed as well with Jacob Fatu contiuning to be the most dangerous, and best booked wrestler on the RAW Roster as he took out Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Roman Reigns to close out the show. It’s a night and day difference in how RAW and SmackDown are, which is very hilarous too me. But what I want to see more of is fun matches, which RAW has been doing for the past few weeks now. As we go into next week, I would like to see more of Montez Ford & Seth Rollins brewing tension, as that has been a great week-to-week progression to see, and I’ve been enjoying the WWE Intercontinental Title scene. A very fun episode, also keep on giving me IYO SKY matches, they have been the best things on RAW for the past two weeks.
