My Official Thoughts on the April 27th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Official Thoughts: WWE is hilarious because when TKO isn't adding their intel from May-July, they always give us solid Monday Night RAW EPisodes like last year, around this time, which is where the best stretch of RAW occurred. But this episode was fun, I enjoyed the matches and segments from tonight's show. I don't like how inconsistent they’ve been with Gunther. He wasn't on TV. He just comes and goes, and I don't like that, but this episode shows how it can be so easy if you just give good wrestling and segments, and people will be satisfied.

The April 27th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Penta vs. Rusev in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a very fine opening match. Rusev is back, getting a push in the WWE Intercontinental Scene. We saw Ethan Page come out to spectate as he’s also eyeing the WWE Intercontinental Title. But this was fun, I liked this match a lot better than the string of matches they had from September to October. But this was fun as Penta got the win, then we saw Rusev get frustrated as Ethan Page & Rusev united to attack Penta, but we saw Je’Von Evans make the save,e hitting a sick OG Cutter to Rusev. This WWE Intercontinental Division is looking fun as they're booking it well.

The 2nd Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. IYO SKY in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Becky Lynch is a 3x WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and I wish some young talent were holding the title, because she shouldn’t have the title; the title should be what the Intercontinental Title is supposed to do, which is to elevate the Young Talent. The segment wasn’t anything special until IYO SKY came out to confront Becky Lynch, which was a cool moment, but Becky Lynch needs to drop this corny gimmick and be a serious heel, not this garbage promo material she gives us. But this match was a lot of fun, I really like now IYO SKY is IYO SKY again, not Rhea Ripley sidekick, but this was very good, and obviously I knew Asuka was going to come as they need to end the feud, and I hope they have a match at WWE Backlash. But regardless of the finish, what a fun match.

The 3rd Match: Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano (with Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was a very decent match, and I enjoyed watching it because the crowd was incredibly excited. Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano were originally supposed to fight at WrestleMania 41, so it’s crazy that this is their first one-on-one match. The match featured some exciting spots, and Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano tried to interfere to ruin it for Rey Mysterio, but they failed. The Original El Grande Americano came out to help, allowing Rey Mysterio to secure the victory. Afterward, both El Grande Americano’s brawled in the ring, making for a very fun match that the crowd was fully behind.

The 4th Match: Oba Femi vs. Grayson Waller in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — Grayson Waller got dismantled, once a touted prospect who Main Evented MSG against Edge, now is a jobber who only had one successful offensive move, as Oba Femi destroyed him, and squashed him like a bug. But Oba Femi having an open challenge for the future, as everyone has the titles scene set up, is a smart choice. Wonder who steps up to Oba Femi?

The Main Event Match: The Judgement (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) (with Liv Morgan) vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was a very decent Main Event Tag Team Match. Roxanne Perez was getting huge crowd reactions as she was back in her hometown of Laredo, Texas. It is also nice to see the seeds being planted for a Roxanne Perez babyface turn, which was hinted at in a backstage segment with Finn Bálor. She is someone who needs that, which could elevate her to the next level. But this match was fun, I liked how Bayley & Lyra Valkyria heard the crowd noises about them, and played the heels in a sense. But the Judgement Day got the win. Now, what's interesting is, when will Roxanne Perez turn on The Judgement Day?

The April 27th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  My Official Match of the Night: Becky Lynch (c) vs. IYO SKY in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — Becky Lynch is a three-time WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, but I really wish a younger talent were holding the title. She shouldn’t be champion right now—the belt should be doing what the Intercontinental Title is meant to do: elevate rising stars. The segment itself wasn’t anything special until IYO SKY came out to confront Becky, which was a cool moment, but Becky needs to drop this corny gimmick and become a serious heel again instead of cutting these weak promos. That said, the match was a lot of fun. I really like that IYO SKY is finally herself again and not just Rhea Ripley’s sidekick. The match was very good, and I obviously expected Asuka to show up since they need to wrap up that feud, and I hope they have a match at WWE Backlash. Regardless of the finish, it was a really enjoyable match.

The April 27th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — My Official Episode Grade: 7.50/10 (B) — WWE is hilarious because whenever TKO isn’t loading us up with their May–July analytics, they usually deliver really solid episodes of Monday Night RAW, just like around this time last year, when we got the best stretch of RAW. This episode was fun; I enjoyed both the matches and the segments. I’m not a fan of how inconsistent they’ve been with Gunther, though. He wasn’t even on TV. He just appears and disappears, and I don’t like that. Still, this episode proves how simple it can be: if you just put on good wrestling and good segments, people will be satisfied.
