My Thoughts on the February 16th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: A very decent episode of Monday Night RAW, a lot better than what they produced last week, in which that episode didn't hold up to standards. But what I liked about tonight was the CM Punk Segment. I enjoyed seeing how Finn Bálor is starting come along again. He knows he can do everything he wants by himself. A nice little touch is that he's back to his babyface theme song, but this was a very eventful segment. The Matches on the show were a lot better than last week, as we saw Asuka and Je'Von Evans qualifed into their respective Elimination Chamber Matches. But this was a fun show. I enjoyed it. I thought this was quality stuff, but they still need to work on certain things. As we kick into gear for WrestleMania, they need to tighten up to start getting to work.

The February 16th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Vision (Austin Theory, Bronson Reed & Logan Paul) (with Paul Heyman) vs. LA Knight & The Usos (Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This was a fine opener for this show. LA Knight opened up the show along with The Vision, whom he has been dealing with for a very long time, as he traded words with them. The WWE World Tag Team Champions, The Usos, appeared, which led Adam Pearce to make a Six-Man Tag Team Match. The match itself was very decent; it wasn't anything spectacular. But what caught my eye is the Vision pinned the WWE World Tag Team Champions, which leads me to believe are are getting a Vision vs. Usos Match for the WWE World Tag Team Titles being on the line? Also, the masked man appeared again, and he Curb Stomped Logan Paul onto the Table. The Masked Man has taken out Austin Theory, Bron Breakker, and now Logan Paul.

The 2nd Match: Asuka vs. Bayley vs. Nattie in a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: *** — I actually was surprised that Bayley didn't manage to make the Women's Elimination Chamber Match. But this match was filled with a lot of experience as we had Asuka, Bayley, and the Lowkey Legend in Nattie. But I find that they are clearly building some story with Bayley and her losses because Bayley and her tag partner Lyra Valkyria have been on a downward sprial but hopefully they turn it around. Nattie, I had her as a dark horse in this match. I told myself I wouldn't be shocked whatsoever if she won with her new persona change mixed in with her being a heel now. But Asuka managed to be the 4th competitor in the Women's Elimination Chamber Match; she adds a lot of excitement to the match now with her presence. But I thought this was a fine match, and now next week on RAW, we'll see who the final competitor will be for the Women's Elimination Chamber Match, as Asuka’s partner, Kairi Sane, will be involved in that said match.

The 3rd Match: Penta vs. El Grande Americano (with Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano) in a WWE Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender’s Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — I wasn't surprised that Penta came out as he's like the ole' relibale when it comes to RAW Creative needing someone to challenge Dominik Mysterio in the future for his WWE Intercontinental Title. But El Grande Americano asked Adam Pearce earlier in the night about the Intercontinental Title, which promoted this No. 1 Contender's Match. Now, Penta, I thought for the beginning of this match was going to lose as he faced Dominik Mysterio for the title many times. I would like to see someone new like El Grande Americano, but we didn't get that as the Original El Grande Americano spoiled his plans, which helped Penta hit a sick Springboard Canadian Destroyer to get the win and a future WWE Intercontinental Title shot. I love Penta, but I do hope even if it's a 1% chance that he wins the WWE Intercontinental Title because he can be a workhorse champion that helps the RAW Mid-Card that needs a lot of saving due to Dominik Mysterio’s poor 2nd title reign with the WWE Intercontinental Title.

The Main Event Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Gunther in a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — Je'Von Evans, man, I'm so happy for this kid. He deserved this moment; he not only won, but he entered the Men's Elimination Chamber Match, he won his 1st RAW Main Event Match, and he was the star of this match, pinning the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio to earn his spot. Just an all-around awesome moment for Je'Von Evans. I did enjoy this match a lot. This was my Match of the Night. Dragon Lee appeared to get his one-up on Gunther, knocking him out with a ring bell. I hope their match is the 5th Match for the WWE Elimination Chamber Event. But this was all-around fun. Now, if Bronson Reed, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams enter as well in the Men's Chamber Match would be so much fun. I'm really happy to see them booking Je'Von Evans to perfection. He won his first feud on RAW against the Los Americanos, was the Iron-Man for the Men's Royal Rumble Match, and is now heading to the Elimination Chamber Match in Chicago. I hope he has another breakout performance, maybe have him eliminate a major main eventer to raise his stock even more.

The February 16th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: Je’Von Evans vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Gunther in a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat Match | The Match Rating: ****.25 — This was such a fun main event. I liked the fact that Je’Von Evans was doing everything and anything to manage to come away with the win. Gunther, being the killer he is, was doing a lot of damage by weakening Dominik Mysterio and Je’Von Evans. But in the end, we saw Je’Von Evans get the win but enter the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. I’m quite excited to see how he does in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match.

The February 16th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 6.75/10 (C+) — This was a lot better than last week in terms of the segments and match quality. But there are always things that need cleaning up, like the Mid-Card Division. I feel like WWE knows they have a very deep roster, but doesn’t utilize it to its fullest potential. They need to start doing that. But I enjoyed the CM Punk segment that was one of my highlights from this episode, same with Je’Von Evans getting his massive win to close out the show as he’s heading to the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Liv Morgan knows what direction she wants to go, but isn’t telling anyone her plans. I feel like RAW could be a lot better now that WrestleMania is on the horizon; they need to boost RAW heavily.
