My Thoughts on the September 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: This episode of Monday Night RAW was quite average, with the crowd being the highlight of the show. I enjoyed three matches, but I was disappointed that AJ Styles did not get the title win for the Intercontinental Championship. I liked the Becky Lynch and CM Punk segment, which hinted at a possible return of AJ Lee. Overall, the episode was average and mediocre at best for me.

The September 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) vs. The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was an excellent opener for RAW. The France crowd was electric, and I was happy to see the Kabuki Warriors in action as they went against The Judgement Day. What makes this match enjoyable is the action. I do like that the Kabuki Warriors will soon become a heel team, given what has been happening with Asuka and her growing positivity towards IYO SKY and what she does. The Judgement Day in this match was fine. Roxanne Perez was having a good showing, and Raquel Rodriguez, since June, has been a fun one to watch. She actually wrestles how she should wrestle. The advice Kevin Nash and The Undertaker gave has done and saved her career tremendously. The Kabuki Warriors got the win, which actually shocked me. I thought some mishap was going to happen, but it didn't, and now the Kabuki Warriors can build off this as they are targeting the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.

The 2nd Match: Finn Bálor (with JD McDonagh) vs. Dragon Lee in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Loved how Dragon Lee tapped into his Ryu Lee bag. This was an entertaining match with an amazing crowd backing it. Finn Balor, imagine if he were a babyface with his awesome babyface theme, the Paris Crowd would've been amazing. I love how the crowd gave their respects to Dragon Lee. He has been wrestling on Monday Night RAW for the past five weeks.

Please keep this up; he's amazing, and it's very evident that the fans and social media people love it when he's in that ring. But the action in the ring was good. I know Finn Balor isn't Prince Devitt anymore and can't move as quickly as he used to, but he did fairly well in this match. Thanks to JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee was distracted by JD McDonagh, which allowed Finn Balor to get time to regroup and deliver the final blow to pick up a shocking singles victory, which we don't see much of. It's rare to see Finn Balor get singles wins, as he is accustomed to jobbing out for other talent. However, I hope Dragon Lee's TV presence continues, as he's easily one of the best talents in the world today. He should be in the running to dethrone Dominik Mysterio, but I feel like either AJ Styles or Ilja Dragunov will be the ones who'll do that. But other than that, it was a fun TV Match with an amazing crowd, and Finn Balor got the rare singles win over Dragon Lee.

The 3rd Match: The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) & Penta vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) & Grayson Waller in a Six-Man Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: *** — This was just a fun filler Six-Man Tag Team Match. The War Raiders are finally back on RAW, having fought on Main Event, racked up wins, and come together as a team with Penta. The New Day, with their new little henchmen in Grayson Waller, went up against them as The War Raiders have history with The New Day, and Penta has been on an ongoing feud with the stable since the go-home show of SummerSlam. Penta and The War Raiders teamed up; they were a blast, and the crowd was loving it. The New Day, with Grayson Waller, was employing their heel tactics and trying to get down and dirty, but it wasn’t working. Penta hit one of the sickest Mexican Destroyers as they jumped off the back of one of the War Raiders to get the win. A fun filler match, and I enjoyed it a lot.

The 4th Match: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles in a WWE Intercontinental Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — This should of beent he match where they pull the trigger of AJ Styles winning the WWE Interconitnental Title I don't know why they didn't do it as the Paris, France Crowd were going insane with the chants towards AJ Styles. Dominik Mysterio came out to a rain of boo's. The feud between these two has been super fun and funny, and AJ Styles seems to be enjoying this a lot. However, the match was slow at first, as Dominik Mysterio had the upper hand, using some shady tactics to weaken AJ Styles. AJ Styles started to turn it up in the 2nd half of the match as he had many near falls, but he was aiming to hit the Phenomenal Forearm. Still, someone came out of the crowd as El Grande Americano II came out and hit AJ Styles with the metal plate to help Dominik Mysterio win the match. I don't think this feud is over, but Triple H needs to learn just to pull the damn trigger. It would've been a memorable moment and a great crowning moment for one of the greatest ever to do it.

The Main Event Match: The Vision (Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed) vs. Jey Uso & LA Knight in a Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This is a rinse and repeat. I enjoyed the Judgement Day main event every week in 2023 because it was enjoyable matches with great crowd heat. This match had good crowd heat, but I wish The Vision would target some newer people. The game wasn't hitting for me, and we saw Jimmy Uso at the end come out and save his brother from a vicious beatdown by the hands of The Vision’s own Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. It seems like now Jimmy Uso has officially been moved to Monday Night RAW to reunite the legendary tag team of The Usos. Now I wonder what's next for LA Knight. Will he be stuck in the Vision Vortex or have something new and fresh?
