My Official Review of the October 19th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Official Review: A very enjoyable episode of Monday Night RAW, featuring a fantastic opening match between Penta and Bron Breakker, who delivered an intense, action-packed contest that got better as it progressed. I loved the tease of Penta eyeing Roman Reigns' World Heavyweight Championship and Sami Zayn's Undisputed WWE Championship before the match, while Je'Von Evans' interference helped Penta secure the victory and further established the potential for an excellent long-term feud between Evans and Breakker. The second match, Chelsea Green and IYO SKY vs. The Judgment Day's Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, was a solid tag team contest that finally gave IYO SKY some direction after what I consider a disappointing year of creative booking. SKY's performance was excellent, and her pinfall victory over Women's Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez could potentially lead to a championship opportunity. Unfortunately, JD McDonagh vs. Joe Hendry was easily the low point of the show, as the entire Funko Pop storyline felt corny and unnecessary. McDonagh has the talent to compete in the WWE Intercontinental Championship scene, and I hope WWE moves him away from this comedy feud. Meanwhile, Lola Vice picked up a decent victory over Lyra Valkyria, continuing to build momentum as she searches for her first major feud. With Bayley and Lyra set to clash in a No Disqualification Match next week, I hope both women eventually find their way into the Women's World Championship picture. My Match of the Night was the outstanding main event Triple Threat Match between Chad Gable, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Gable continues to deliver one of the greatest Intercontinental Championship reigns in WWE history, Rey Mysterio is still performing at an incredible level, and Dragon Lee is having a breakout year. The creative offense and fantastic closing stretch made this one of the best WWE television matches, while the post-match attack by Big Cass and Ethan Page created further intrigue. Page looked more credible than ever as a potential future challenger, and I would love to see WWE unite Big Cass, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Rusev in a major stable on RAW. Another major highlight was the opening segment between Roman Reigns, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and Sami Zayn, the Undisputed WWE Champion. Given their history with The Bloodline from 2022–2023 and their brief reunion in 2024, their encounter did an excellent job building toward Crown Jewel. The question of whether Sami would help The Bloodline amid the ongoing drama involving The 946 also added intrigue, especially after he declined to get involved. My official Highlight of the Show was the segment involving The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa, and The 946, as Roman Reigns finally came face-to-face with The 946 and received a tremendous reaction from the crowd. The storyline has been built effectively, and I still believe The 946 should win to establish their credibility heading into a potential WarGames match. Overall, this was a very fun episode of Monday Night RAW, with excellent wrestling, compelling storyline developments, and an outstanding main event. RAW has been consistently enjoyable since SummerSlam, and I have genuinely been excited for every episode. I cannot wait to see what happens next week as the road to Crown Jewel continues.

My Official Match Ratings for the October 19th WWE Monday Night RAW Episode:

The Opening Match: Penta vs. Bron Breakker in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: ***.50 — A very fun opener. I loved the before-match tease of Penta eyeing Roman Reigns WWE World Heavyweight Title and Sami Zayn's Undisputed WWE Title. But this match against Bron Breakker was an awesome, very fun opener. I love the chemistry and intensity both men showed. The match gradually got better as it progressed. I loved how Bron Breakker has been wrestling a lot as of late, same with Penta. In the closing stretch, The Vision tried to help out Bron Breakker, but then we saw Je'Von Evans, who's still beaten up, destroy Austin Theory, then crack Bron Breakker upside the head with the Men's Money in the Bank Briefcase as Penta got the win. Now this Bron Breakker and Je'Von Evans feud has the makings of being a great feud that can be used for many years and decades. I would've this feud elevate Je'Von Evans from the Upper Mid-Card to position him in the Future Main Event Scene like where Bron Breakker is at.

The 2nd Match: Chelsea Green & IYO SKY vs. The Judgement Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) (with Liv Morgan) in a Tag Team Match | My Match Rating: ***.25 — This was a fine Tag Team Match. Finally, IYO SKY has some direction after her worst year in WWE, not because of her, but because of terrible creative booking having nothing notable for her to do. Chelsea Green was alongside IYO SKY as they took on The Judgement Day's Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Because of how great IYO SKY is, she carried this match and really didn't allow Chelsea Green to show her down areas in her wrestling skill. IYO SKY pinned the WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez to get the win. Now, if this leads to IYO SKY as the WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion, we would have Chad Gable and IYO SKY as the Faces of the Intercontinental Divisions, and both would continue to make magic in their divisions. I hope that's the case.

The 3rd Match: JD McDonagh (with Dominik Mysterio) vs. Joe Hendry (with JD Funko Pop) in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: DUD — Legit one of the worst wrestling matches of the year, and we had Dominik Mysterio and Danhausen at SummerSlam. But why is he a Funko Pop the whole feud? We know JD McDonagh has a big Minecraft-shaped head. But JD McDonagh could be in the WWE Intercontinental Title scene, as it has been one of the best divisions in Wrestling. Joe Hendry adds no value to me just a comedy guy, and yes, I know JD McDonagh got the win, but it doesn't matter. The next match is probably going to be some stipulation involving the Funko Pop Head, which I just wish doesn't happen, but a Rubber Match between the two is seemingly going to happen sooner rather than later, and I'm dreading it.

The 4th Match: Lola Vice vs. Lyra Valkyria in a Singles Match | My Match Rating: *** — A decent match, good win for Lola Vice. But it sucks that Bayley and Lyra Valkyria won't have a proper ending on a PLE, as next week in a No Disqualification Match is where they will clash and presumably be the ending of their feud. But Lola Vice is getting some good wins; she hasn't had a proper 1st feud, so very curious to see where she goes and who she feuds with. But again, she got a good win; now the Bayley and Lyra Valkyria feud will be ending next week. But I do hope afterwards Bayley is in the WWE Women's World Title scene, same for Lyra Valkyria.

The Main Event Match: Chad Gable (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rey Mysterio in a WWE Intercontinental Title Triple Threat Match | My Match Rating: ****.75 — Chad Gable is having one of the greatest WWE Intercontinental Title reigns of all time; this was one of the best WWE TV matches. It's like it's a weekly thing for Chad Gable. Rey Mysterio isn't aging; he moves as he did in WCW. Dragon Lee is having an amazing year; this has been his breakout year in WWE, as he's one of the best talents in WWE. There was some creative offense, having the crowd engaged, and the closing stretch was amazing. Seeing Chad Gable retain was great as he paid respect to Rey Mysterio in his hometown of San Diego, the 619. But then Big Cass and Ethan Page attacked everyone. This is probably the best Ethan Page has looked; he took out Chad Gable twice and made a statement. Big Cass destroyed Dragon Lee. Now I have an idea: there was this group called The Firm. What if WWE had Big Cass, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints & Rusev be a major stable together on Monday Night RAW? That would be money in my eyes, but this was an amazing match and a good post-match angle, as in the future Ethan Page will get his WWE Intercontinental Title Match.

My Official Match of the Night for the October 19th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: Chad Gable (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rey Mysterio in a WWE Intercontinental Title Triple Threat Match | My Match Rating: ****.75 — Chad Gable is having one of the greatest Intercontinental Title reigns ever, and this was one of WWE’s best TV matches. His weekly performances are remarkable. Rey Mysterio isn’t aging; he moves just as he did in WCW. Dragon Lee is also having a breakout year and is one of WWE’s top talents. Creative offense kept the crowd engaged, and the closing stretch was amazing. Gable’s hometown win in San Diego at 619 was great, especially as he paid respect to Rey. Then Big Cass and Ethan Page attacked everyone. Page looked better than ever, taking out Gable twice and making a statement, while Cass destroyed Dragon Lee. It got me thinking about The Firm: WWE could make Big Cass, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Rusev a major RAW stable. That would be money. Overall, it was an amazing match and a strong post-match angle, setting up Page’s future Intercontinental Title match.

My Official Highlight of the Show for the October 19th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW: The 946 — They have been amazing. The Main Event Segment with The Bloodline & Solo Sikoa was amazing, seeing Roman Reigns finally have his first encounter with The 946 and seeing how the crowd erupted. This has been properly built. I still have The 946 winning, as it builds more credibility when the WarGames Match does happen, but great stuff. As soon as we're in Houston, Texas, we’ll be in for a treat.

My October 19th Official Episode Grade for WWE Monday Night RAW: 8.50/10 (A-) — A very enjoyable episode of Monday Night RAW, featuring a fantastic Penta vs. Bron Breakker opener that furthered the promising Je'Von Evans feud. Chelsea Green and IYO SKY picked up a solid tag team victory, hopefully giving IYO some much-needed direction, while Lola Vice defeated Lyra Valkyria ahead of next week's No Disqualification Match against Bayley. Unfortunately, JD McDonagh vs. Joe Hendry was a complete dud, with the Funko Pop storyline feeling corny and unnecessary. My Match of the Night was Chad Gable vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, an outstanding Triple Threat that showcased Gable's incredible reign, Rey's longevity, and Dragon Lee's breakout year. Ethan Page and Big Cass attacking afterward added intrigue, and I would love to see them join Ricky Saints and Rusev in a major RAW stable. My Highlight of the Show was Roman Reigns' encounter with The 946, alongside the excellent segment with Sami Zayn that continued building toward Crown Jewel. Overall, RAW delivered another entertaining episode with great wrestling and compelling storylines. Since SummerSlam, I've been excited for every episode, and I cannot wait for next week!
