My Thoughts on the March 9th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: Regarding in-ring content, we have some solid matches, but it's disappointing that only three were on this episode. I want more. I believe they could have added a fourth match if they wanted to. However, since WWE decided not to, we only got three matches, with the Main Event ending in just three minutes. I wish they had given us more. The Vision’s segment with Seth Rollins was terrible. I didn’t like the masked men performing some old-school 1990s choreography in the ring. On the other hand, the Judgement Day and CM Punk segments were well-done and added excitement to their respective WrestleMania stories. Next week, we’re getting some solid matches, and Roman Reigns returns, so I expect a better show on Monday Night RAW.

The March 9th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: Bayley vs. Asuka (with Kairi Sane) vs. Ivy Nile vs. IYO SKY vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was a very exceptional Gauntlet Match. We kicked things off with IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria as they gave us some fun material in the ring. I thought they were having a good wrestling match, but IYO, SKY got Lyra Valkyria out, resulting in her first elimination. The Judgement Day's powerhouse Raquel Rodriguez came out to try to neutralize IYO SKY, which was going well, but as Liv Morgan came out, it derailed all the momentum for Raquel Rodriguez. But Stephanie Vaquer came out to brawl with Liv Morgan, which allowed IYO SKY to hit a off the top rope Cradle Pin. But afterwards, an irate Raquel Rodriguez attacked IYO SKY, damaging her, which allowed Ivy Nile to get the elimination. Bayley came out, and this is where things got better for me because Bayley and Ivy Nile had a little fun in the ring. I really enjoyed watching those two go at it inside the ring. But Bayley ended up winning. Asuka is the final woman to come out with Kairi Sane, but Bayley attacked immediately. They were having a fun one in the ring, as Lyra Valkyria came out to take out Kairi Sane, which distracted Asuka. This allowed Bayley to finish things off with the win, and now next week she'll face AJ Lee for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title.

The 2nd Match: Penta (c) vs. El Grande Americano in a WWE Intercontinental Title Match | The Match Rating: ***.50 — Penta had an awesome promo before the match. We thought we were getting the Original El Grande Americano, but we ended up with the other El Grande Americano because Danhausen cursed the Original El Grande Americano. But before his match, you saw Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano lurking behind. But this match, we’re fine. I really liked the material inside the ring. Ludwig Kaiser and Penta always had solid chemistry, so it was nice. I do hope Penta continues to be a workhorse champion to bring back the importance of the WWE Intercontinental Title. Penta hit a sick Springboard Mexican Destroyer to get the win and retained his WWE Intercontinental Title.

The Main Event Match: Oba Femi vs. Rusev in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: N/A — This match should’ve been much longer. I thought we were going to get a very hard-hitting Main Event, but we didn’t receive that. Rusev has had an uneventful last couple of months, didn’t get booked in December, returned at the Royal Rumble, only lasting 55 seconds in the match, and got manhandled by a rookie. It’s just an uneventful time for Rusev. Oba Femi had his 1st RAW Main Event, which was a success. Oba Femi is now 6-0 on the Main Roster. The Ruler is still making a massive statement. I hope he gets in the title picture soon.

The March 9th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: Bayley vs. Asuka (with Kairi Sane) vs. Ivy Nile vs. IYO SKY vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match | The Match Rating: **** — A very fun Gauntlet Style Match, we kicked things off between Lyra Valkyria and IYO SKY, which I enjoyed myself. I thought IYO SKY was going to run through the competition. Still, it ended with Raquerl Rodriguez being shallow, causing IYO SKY to get beaten up which allowed Ivy Nile to get the elimination, but when Bayley came in I was hoping she was going to win which in the end she achieved that in a very fun Gauntlet Match as next week AJ Lee has her first RAW Match since March of 2015 as she defends her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title against Bayley.

The March 9th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C+) — In terms of in-ring material, we have some solid stuff to deal with, but the fact that it was only three matches that occurred on this episode. I want more. I felt like they could’ve added a 4th match if they wanted to. But because WWE doesn’t want to do that, we got three matches, one of which, the Main Event Match, ended in three minutes. I felt like they could’ve given us more. The Vision’s Segment with Seth Rollins was garbage. I didn’t like the masked men doing some old-school 1990s choreography in the ring. But the Judgement Day and CM Punk segments were well-done, and added excitement to their respective WrestleMania builds. But next week we’ve some solid matches, and Roman Reigns returns, so I expect more next week on Monday Night RAW.
