My Thoughts on the January 26th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW:

My Thoughts: This was a solid episode of Monday Night RAW. The all-star Six-Woman Tag Team Match was particularly entertaining, showcasing strong in-ring performances and effective storytelling, while also advancing the build toward the Royal Rumble by confirming additional participants for the match. The main event delivered as well, offering a compelling blend of action and character development. Finn Bálor’s ongoing internal struggle was especially noteworthy, as his growing desperation and willingness to do whatever it takes to capture championship gold added emotional depth to the show. Overall, this episode effectively set the stage for the Royal Rumble premium live event taking place this weekend.

The January 26th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Match Ratings:

The Opening Match: RHIYO (IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley) & Stephanie Vaquer vs. The Judgement Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.75 — This is what I’m talking about, a very fun all-star Six-Woman Tag Team Match. Seeing the superteam of IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley & Stephanie Vaquer going up against The Judgement Day was so cool. The action in this match was a lot of fun. I really want to see a lot of all-star tags in the future. It reminds me of when AEW did them a lot last year; they really give the fans a lot and have them entertained. I thought with WWE logic that the Judgement Day was going to win. Still, the superteam of RHIYO and Stephanie Vaquer got the win, and now everyone shifts focus to the Royal Rumble, even Stephanie Vaquer, as someone who wins can come after her WWE Women’s World Title. I’m really excited to see what direction the Women’s World Title heads after the Royal Rumble because that’s when things start to heat up.

The 2nd Match: Austin Theory (with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul & Paul Heyman) vs. Rey Mysterio (with Dragon Lee & Penta) in a Singles Match | The Match Rating: **.75 — This match was very mediocre, not because of Rey Mysterio, but because Austin Theory was so bland in the ring; he’s very uninspiring. He’s not someone I would consider fun to watch in the ring. I would like something like Dragon Lee vs. Bronson Reed. But I thought Rey Mysterio was going to win, but that wasn’t the case as Austin Theory, thanks to The Vision, hit a Curb Stomp for the win, and afterward a vicious beatdown by The Vision as they dismantled Dragon Lee, Penta, and Rey Mysterio as no one from the back saved them they sent a message as everyone in the Vision also have announced they’re in the Royal Rumble.

The 3rd Match: Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis) vs. American Made (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) (with Ivy Nile) vs. Los Americanos (Bravo Americano & Rayo Americano) (with El Grande Americano) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) (with Grayson Waller) in a WWE World Tag Team Title No. 1 Contender’s Fatal-Four Way Tag Team Match | The Match Rating: ***.25 — This was such a fun match, and Akira Tozawa unleashed his Dragon Gate self and had the crowd roaring. The RAW Tag Division seems to be very fun when allowed to be presented. Why can't we see them more often, not every ten weeks? This match was chaotic, had some fun spots, and hey, is that the Creed Brothers hooping? This RAW Tag Team Division can be elevated if booked properly. But I'm happy that Alpha Academy got the win. They have been underrated for a very long time. They have been stuck on WWE Main Event, racking up wins, but no one knows about that. But their match against The Usos is going to be interesting, and we’re getting Akira Tozawa and Otis minutes again, which I'm happy about. This was an overall fun match.

The Main Event Match: CM Punk (c) vs. AJ Styles in a WWE World Heavyweight Title Match | The Match Rating: **** — This was a very fun match. CM Punk has been one of the best things in wrestling during his run this month, and his title matches have been something fresh and fun. AJ Styles potentially had his final World Title Match against CM Punk, and he displayed a lot. This match was a lot of fun until Finn Balor came and attacked CM Punk and brutalized him, which was shocking, but this plays into the story they're trying to tell and convey about Finn Balor, a desperate man, and being fed stuff to corrupt him. So this is going to be interesting where this story goes with Finn Balor, as we know his eventual face turn is coming, but we'll see where this goes. We know that at Elimination Chamber in Chicago, the Rematch for the World Title will happen.

The January 26th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW  The Match of the Night: CM Punk (c) vs. AJ Styles in a WWE World Heavyweight Title Match | The Match Rating: ****

The January 26th Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW — The Episode Grade: 6.50/10 (C+) — This was an okay episode of RAW. The all-star Six-Woman Match was a lot of fun, and we saw some people added to the Rumble Match. The Main Event was a lot of fun, and Finn Balor is fighting with himself, being desperate and doing anything to get some form of gold. Now we head to the Royal Rumble this weekend.
